Because its quite obviously self-aggrandizement disguised as 'educating' or 'enlightening'. Think about how carefully crafted it all is, how they sift through every single word to try and find a more complicated synonym to appeal to their hive mind audience. And finally I hate them most of all because they pretend to offer an 'alternative' to commonly expressed dogma yet are unwilling to engage with anyone in a debate - they just pick targets and shitpost on them.

Its mob mentality at its worst. The people who listen to youtube politics have already decided on their views and seek out someone to confirm them. There is no philosophy, there is no education and there certainly isn't any dialogue beyond what the youtuber has scripted to be the content of that video.

Its no different to how newspapers set their tone and choose articles to pander to their given audience. Someone who reads a newspaper of a certain political persuasion is unlikely to counterbalance it by reading the opposing view. Why? Because it is easy to be confirmed in ignorance when people like to think they are factually correct. Nobody likes to be proven wrong or challenged. This is why I don't like Youtube Politics because it pushes one view and confirms those who already possess that opinion in the first place. There is didicatic element.

And it may be a cynical view point, but I think it naive not to question why these people are pushing their views on a huge platform.

A lot of the youtube personalities already post garbage and PJW is no different.

His videos consist of replaying statements that he dislikes in a sped up voice. If he even remotely attempts to refute their points it just turns into him creating a strawman by highlighting something else completely unrelated (but he reassures the viewer that it is)

And also, I have a university degree related to politics. Why would I want to hear some twat, who I'm assuming has never gone through formal education give me his commentary about buzz feed and twitter.
