When we separated, he promised that the final hours of our people would not be defined by a passive acceptance of death. He had...a complex relationship, with the choice our people made for themselves. Herostratus always maintained that he would have done the same, but he despised the idea that we should simply roll over and die."

"You said that you separated," Nathan says quietly. "What were you doing?"

"When my brother went out into the world to bring the wisdom of the Jotnar to the smaller races, I stayed to record our final stories," Helen explains. "Memoirs, histories, and biographies of the last of the giants. We have not always been easy to find. I have written the tale of each, copied and preserved carefully. Perhaps, one day, we will all be forgotten, but I have done as I can to prevent this. My brother's was to be my last."

You cough, more to interrupt your compatriots before they can say anything than to get anyone's attention. "So at a bet you're a talented scribe," you offer.

"Indeed. I have also turned my hand at times to construction and carpentry, to war, to medicine, poetry, and sculpture. I can hunt, fish, and survive in the wilds, and possess some small talent in necromantic divination, learned against the eventuality that I arrive too late to record the story of a properly living giant."

"One might also find me in the lifelong habit of not being a fool," Helen warns, gently. "Say what it is you are trying to say."

You and Goku arrive shortly after you heard from Piccolo there was an attack going on down there. And... Gods, was there ever. Buildings damaged and ruined, a pair of craters taking out city blocks, and even from high up, you can see bodies.

“Looks awful.” Goku comments, starting to descend with you. “But I can’t sense whoever did this. Think they’ve already run away?”

“Well, there is one option...” You check your Scouter. Power Levels... seem to average out below 10, a few anomalies, but nothing that you’d think would cause this kind of damage. “...and looks like they’re either hiding, or they’re gone.”

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that.” you hear Piccolo’s voice call out, you and Goku turning to look towards him, noticing . “This feels wrong. I couldn’t sense them either, but it doesn’t seem like they’d just leave a job half-finished if they were trying to destroy this city.”

“What do you think this is then?” Goku questions.

Piccolo looks down grimly. “...A trap.”

A familiar song of birds lilted silently into your sleep-addled mind, bringing with it a moist and cool breeze filled with the scent of flora and rich soil.

The early morning rays of cheerful sunlight were once more searing themselves into your eyes. You twist away habitually, seeking to bury your face in your pillow again for what little time Asche would allow you to sleep in, but... Something felt wrong. Something rough scratched against your cheek, and the more you tried to avoid it, the more you became aware of how itchy your blanket was. Annoyance led to annoyance as your teeth grit, slowly dragging you back into the waking world enough to realize that contrary to the comfortingly familiar atmosphere... This wasn't your bed.

"Hey, they're waking up!"
"Go tell Elly, quick!"


It was coming back to you. The events that had led to you ending up in this unfamiliar bed, and where you were now. You pushed aside the low quality blanket, sitting up with a groan as a headache started to make itself known. It throbbed with your pulse, forcing your eyes to clench shut until you could force it down to a manageable level.

In what was becoming a concerningly common routine, you gingerly initiated a self-assessment of how your senses were functioning. After what happened, you aimed to be especially careful in feeling out the state of your body-

(Based off of a weird dream I had. Most of it I made up afterwards, and if I told you the part I actually dreamt it would spoil too much :P)

You are Jason, and you have just received a new VR game that places you in an open environment where you may interact with up to 10 players from all over the world that are randomly paired up with you and will be your survival partners whether you like them or not. The game claims to create intricate bonds between real players via a modern medium that claims to have taken away social interaction, and restores these bonds by placing players as young as 13 in impressively realistic life-or-death situations. You have heard rumors about players being unable to 'log off', and even claims that the death system applies to real life. But that is the least of your concern. As you don your headset and walk into the game's corridor menu, you can only wonder, "Who will be paired with me on this journey, and where will they be from?"

(Now that I think about it, pretty much. However, the players aren't given weapons and the only in-game violence to worry about comes from other players, and it is highly unlikely to meet players outside your group of ten due to the game's scope. It is more of a general survival game against the environment, but there are many beasts generated by the game that respond to player interaction, for example, the player must find a food source to survive and may decide to attempt to kill a nearby beast; that beast will become hostile and may kill the player, such as one of the many checks and balances the game contains.)

You peek around the lockerrooms. Nobody. It's around 4:30 AM. Everyone should be asleep. Alright. The stress of the past week or so has gotten to you kind of badly. But, Mom and Dad always said this to you, sometimes you just need a quick few minutes to yourself to work off that stress. Normally, you'd have basketball or have a good book, but neither of those things are very convenient right now.

So instead, you've woken up at 4 O'clock sharp. After a quick shower and a brush of your teeth, you've gotten dressed in your skirt and blouse. And now you've decided to pull up a particular song on your phone. Time to relieve some stress.

Between the conscious of Man and their perceived reality, lies another reality: the unknown . The unsolved answer of Death, Curses, and Alien resides in these realms and its action unknowingly alter the known reality. The phenomena of these events are called the Haunting

(This Quest is basically about haunting families that unfortunately enter your territory. Each otherworldly factions have different end-goals, perception, and fetters that linked you to the human reality. Planning to help/kill the inhabitant is your job as a player.

You will have sustenance to power their abilities. This will help you in your quest but each beings have different sustenance.

Beware:This is my first quest and English is my third language so expect a staggering amount of mistakes. Feedback is welcomed. Thank you and enjoy)

The old house stood strong and its land filled with withered leaves. The old, creaking wood and chipped paints hold the house together while the old style architecture design made it more nostalgic and menacing. Its is the house that whispers in terrified children's stories and places for curious teens to test their bravado.

They say that those who lived in the house are doomed to caught misfortunes, killing themselves in the process. The old tenants of the house...

You awaken in a haze, feeling altogether out of place in your own body. Maybe this is a dream, only some few faint lights scattered around separating you from utter dark. A closer inspection, once the blur of your vision fades, reveals the dim lights to be portions of plants or trees. An extensive forest, you think. The closest light though, is a glowing flower resting in your hand. Such a small thing, but with a light of confidence and an ever so soft chiming with any significant movement, you swear.

Welcome to Rift World Quest. The point of the game is to explore this strange land and find a way out if you can, though it is intended to be a multiplayer quest. There is a "main" character at any given time for which anonymous players can collectively play as and control.

However, if anyone should like, they can make their own character with a provided simple template, and play as and control their character. However many characters there are, will function and work as a group towards their goals, so cooperative play is the goal.

To anyone interested, the basic information and rules including a character sheet will be provided, if you want to make a character yourself and participate. If you would rather not, that's fine too, and you can collectively with all other anonymous players, continue to direct and control the main character.

Hello! Welcome to Cyberpunk Quest! There will be 4 Main Characters, each of which will be played, so don't feel like you'll miss out if yours is not Picked. There will be a 15/20 Min Pause between Updates, to allow for everyone to get votes in.

This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of trades skill set have brought you far. You're a Chunin of notable talent for your age. At the moment, you've been caught off guard by your very own surprise party.

You peer into the dank impenetrable darkness of the cave system you and your miniom digging crew have broken into. The air is hot and moist, almost alive with the thick taint of fungus and rot. You hiss and back away, leaving a minion to guard the hole. You make your way back into the main tunnels and stretch to your full height. You enjoy the new abilities of this body. Your head is adorned with an elaborate crest of chitin spikes that constantly shift positions. Your inner jaw has been replaces by a long, slender tongue that diverts into a writhing mass of tendrils, some ending in miniature blades, needles and manipulators. Your main forelimbs are slender and long, yet powerful. Your smaller, dextrous pair of forelimbs end in six fingered claws with multi-facing joints. Your tail blade is a delicate tool suited for shaping stone, flesh and resin. You are an architect of the hive. A creator of its terrible wonders.

You pass the healing chamber where Tiny floats in a large pod. His shattered carapace and torn tail being mended and regrown by delicate limbs and special chemicals.

Twitch fades into view above you, a desert reptile clutched in his claws, he burbles a respectful greeting to you and scuttles away along the ceiling, possibly to torment a minion.

You are eager to put your new skills to use....

[Slave Labor]: Those elves less pretty to look at are basically slaves to the other elves; they just don't call it slavery. With a lack of basic regulations, the lower caste is worked to the bone. Production of resources is increased, but rebellions can be catastrophic.
[Flashy]: The elves of the Dominion are always working on improving the looks of their fighting styles. Because of this, many find any sort of heavy armor to be a waste of time.
