Considering pulling the trigger on a 08/09 VW Touareg R50. Seems like the perfect car for me. I dont do raceboi driving, nor take my car to the track. I like the way it looks, with the extended wheel arches and some extra chrome details here and there. We've got lots of snow where i live, so a big and heavy diesel engine up front is perfect. 5.0 V10, 345hp and 627 lb ft /850nm of torque. Any of you had an ecounter with one of these? Theyre pretty hard to find as they sold in a pretty small number.
Too exepensive for anyone on /o/ to have the slighest opinion about

nice car
>>16492058
That's one hell of a bland car, just like most Volkswagens. But why do you think it's a good idea to ask about it here?
Hiya /o/, anyone awake know anything about in car video stuff?
My sister has a Pacifica (unsure on year but I'd assume 01 to 06) that has an LCD for the rear seats for the leeches to watch controlled by buttons under the dvd drive (separate from the cd drive). My mother is looking to buy a van for the aforementioned leeches to bus them around in to playground, sweatshops, or whatever else those things do.
My question is, are there any aftermarket ones that have a disk drive that isn't attached to the screen itself? The plan is to save cost by getting an older minivan without a TV and put one in my self or have "a trusted professional" do it. Thoughts?
Faggot (OP) here again, as a side question, can anyone think of any minivans that aren't a pain in the ass to work on? I know to avoid Chrystler and Fords when it comes to minivans due to siblings having issues, but this question is less important.
buy a chevrolet uplander and ls swap it
>>16492039
Swap the van?
What do you guys think about it? One just came up for sale for $1800, a 4 cylinder 5 speed model with 120k miles that looks clean and has no issues.
Should I jump on it? Would be a second car for me.
>>16491995
you clearly should if you have no financial issues
It would be an awesome car for weekend drives (depends on where you live tho)
I would def buy one
They're fun little cars, but at that price I feel like there has to be something wrong with it.
>>16492066
it is the 4 cylinder... which is pretty bad.
my brother is leaving the country soon and is giving me his truck, a 90s dodge ram 1500 in decent condition, give me the low down, how terrible is the mileage and how does it feel to drive? I am not going to pass up a free car but I was going to buy something like an old corolla for myself.
Expect mileage to be about 15 MPG around town and 17 to 20 on highways. That's for V-8s.Driving is like a car, just sits higher.
>>16492016
it's a v6 I believe, at least I think so because of how cheap it was. also doesn't the turning radius kinda suck because it's a truck? I haven't driven much so I don't really know this shit
>>16492025
I currently have a 2009 GMC Sierra crew cab.Turning radius isn't too bad.My mom just sold one like your pic and it was no problem driving through town and turning.V-6 might get slightly better MPGs but not much.I think you'll like it.It looks clean as hell. What state?
Is this guy right about high octane premium fuel?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfJNz04bWg4
I use 95 octane on my yaris and 98 BP ultimate on my WRX.
Should I continue doing this?
>>16491953
use regular.
see mileage until refill.
use premium.
see mileage until refill.
Can't believe I'm even replying.
You want to use the lowest possible octane your car can handle without preignition, some higher performance/compression vehicles require higher octane so they don't knock
>>16491953
WRX compression ratio is not enough to justify the use of 98, unless you fell for the meme of premium fuels using spheres to clean every single corner of your ve-hic-le
>be bong
>cars don't have age restrictions but motorcycles do
>you can jump in a Ferrari at 17 years of age completely legally
>but at 17 you are limited to 125cc(A1 license)
>at 19 you can go up to 49bhp which may or may not be 250cc (A2 license)
>at 21 you can ride anything you want
>but only if you got your A2 license 2 years prior to that
>otherwise you must be 24 years old to ride what you like
What the fuck why are motorcycle license laws so fucked up?
A young inexperienced driver in a ordinary car is far more dangerous to the public and other road users than a young inexperienced biker on even a Yam R1.
Because a Ferrari costs 200 grand and a used bike costs 2 grand, so it's far more accessible financially.
>>16491936
This also cars come with way more safty features as for bike u only get a helmet
>>16491915
because all the inbred bongs will die and you'll be left with bbc.

Redpill me on peugeot.
Also: 208 or 308?
>>16491775
308 will do far more damage and get the job done.
>>16491782
Damage to what? Pedestrians? Roadkill? Itself? Me? My wallet?
208 looks better imo
How many of you have all of the settings in spec, and how often do you check/adjust it?
>idle speed
>idle mixture
>auto choke adjustment
>float height
>accelerator pump shot
>cable and linkage freeplay
>synchronisation if multiple carbs
Seems like a lot of hassle but is it really any harder than diagnosing a rough running injection system?
>>16491735
Never because EFI > carbs at everything
>>16491735
>checking any of that
the last time I did that was never, aside from turning the flow screw for winter/summer
Carburators are for cucks. No reason at all to have them.
Been driving for around ten years and been lurking here on and off. Never been in an accident, clean driving record, good driver. Decided to mix it up and bought a 2SSRS 2010 Camaro with 40k miles for 17k as my first manual. Took a little bit to get used to and learn the clutch but I'm easing into it. Good choice for a first manual? How does /o/ feel about the newer Camaros?
im so sorry for your loss
>>16491646
New Camaro? Crap
Old Camero? Crap
Older Camero? Crap
Oldest Camero? Not as crap as but still crap
>>16491646
Oh, shit nigger. You fucked up.
>buying this next week
>Runs fine

had a kid who had one want to race me back in highschool...
>>16491540
Is it hard to work on or just unrialiable . I hear mixed reviews on it and I rather buy a new car if I'm going to throw money at it.
Have you guys heard about the new Chevy Cruze?
it has headlights
wow it looks like a ferrari
It look like a ow-dee I reckon , even got them cameras in the back with the fancy lights up front
>Went with some friends in my jeep to the gas station

>See my asian friend lighting a cigarrette
>Station explodes
Kinda miss them
I too had some friends die in a freak gasoline fight accident. Sucks man, I'm sorry
I'm, like, totally sorry for your loss anon. Perhaps an orgy with midgets would help you get through the pain?
>Later that night
>Thought I had won an award for the 4th year in a row

>Pleb riding a scooter won the award, doesn't even own a car
Worst day of my life
