Is this worth buying?
"Want a car that is great on gas? This civic is incredibly reliable, and costs next to nothing in upkeep. I recently have put in a new radiator and battery, and 6 months ago new all season tires. There is a small amount of damage to the front driver side fender, just cosmetic, would be an easy fix if you wanted but not nessesarry."

I wouldn't touch it at that mileage. If you're having a hard time finding a decent stick shift Civic, look for a stick shift Saturn. They don't have the retarded fanbase so they're easier to find unmolested, and generally just as reliable, though to may burn a bit of oil.
Also, try uploading actual photos people can see. We aren't ants.
Hey Ameribr/o/s, how come a lot of people here post their license plates so freely here? Is it hard to trace down any names in the states or is it just that no one gives a shit?

hooners suck, responsible drivers are best
notice how all the hooners drive slow I4 cars, and most of the people with powerful cars drive reasonably
there's obviously some overlap, but nine times out of ten when I see someone on the interstate driving like a jackass in rush hour traffic, it's a pos civic or corolla
/o/ what are your thoughts on this?

I don't mind it but be ready if you crash into me doing it because if the wreck doesn't kill me or you i will.
I want to build a bike, nothing crazy just to be able to take on logging roads, not full on 4x4 terrain.
This is a first bike for me and I'm in college so take it lightly on me.
First choice is a 1978 xs400 2-e, restored and runs supposedly for 1900.
The second option is a 1979 Suzuki gs 550 for 1000.
I want to do the whole cliche scrambler look and do a welded rear loop, change up rubber, etc. Simple shit.
I figure the gs550 for cost, power, 4 cylinder sound, and might be better for small road trips.
I figure i can get the gs550 for under 1k and spend 1k to get what I want and license, gear, etc.
Advice?
Something like this.
SV650 or SV1000 is the answer. throw knobby tires on it and you're good to go

hey /o/, legitimate question:
why do america and europe follow so drastically different power philosophies? sure, there was the horsepower war in the muscle car era but certainly we could've moved past it by now if there was a better system, right?
>america
>V8 by default, some mean V6s though
>throw displacement at a problem to start with, then add turbos/supers/better shit
>europe
>generally in either the shitbox I4-I6 class or V10-V12 class
>minimize displacement
>throw on shitloads of forced induction for power
I don't want to argue hurr durr murica better and that type of shit, I just want to know where these two different ideas on making power are based and why each country chose their main system
Cheap gas
Big distances to cover
Europe is all about that hp/liter and high technology while we use what's tried, trued and efficient.
>>17145705
Europe has expensive costs for fuel, while America has cheap costs for fuel. Europeans also don't drive much, their city centers are pretty densely populated and urban sprawl is limited, meanwhile in America, we built up the entire country, we have large swaths of lands for our streets, our country land is all built up with farms and shit, so we need to be able to travel longer distances.
Europeans build cars that work within their premises, we build cars that work within ours. They need to be efficient, we need to be reliable, they need to be built well to last, while we have the mentality and easability of just replacing things.
It's just how our countries' are made up.
We're beginning to become more densely populated so we're also building smaller cars that are more efficient, while they can have fun with large powerful cars, but their people don't really require them, that's why America is their largest buyer for all of those neat exotics and limousines.
High compression ratios and RPMs reduces engine life. Murrica's underpowered-for-their-size fuckhuge V8s are built to last hundreds of thousands of miles even if you're going WOT all the time. This is obviously barring performance versions that make more impressive horsepower. The consumer-grade american V8 will outlive the rest of the car because it's never truly stressed.
Also low-end torque for hauling families of fat fucks around.

So I need a car and I'm not to good with cars, and buying one. I have a car that is broke down, I still owe 7k on it. I'm paying high interest on the car atm due to my credit isn't the greatest. What it will cost to get it fixed, I could just get a new car at that price. I went to a couple dealerships and was told due to the interest on the car, the banks will not put so much negative equity on a used or new car. So one dealership wanted me to buy a new car, and then suggested I let the old one get repoed. I know that's a bad idea but I give them an A for effort. Then they suggested I could wreck the car bc I have gap insurance. And that can also turn bad. Does any have any advice or suggestions of what I could do with this car or how to get into another vehicle in this situation?
Sell it, pay it off or fix it
Having the car crushed and having insurance pay you out is fraud. Having it repossessed is a pretty good way of guaranteeing that you will not ever receive a loan or financing on anything ever again. Including that new car at the dealership they were trying to lure you in with.
What's wrong with your car? Maybe it's something stupid easy that you can fix on your own
>>17145472
What car? What's wrong with it?
Needs a new engine, not sure what's wrong with it. Nobody can figure it out, it runs off two cylindars. It's a suzuki, and since suzuki has left America nobody will touch it. Gonna cost out the ass to get a new engine for it

You didn't even scream and threaten to cancel coverage, did you. No? Try that next time.

No because I'm not a dick and I had no proof. It was still covered under collision and they are paying out 2k more than I paid for the car. I'm dropping them so fast after this claim is closed though.
