Fuck flying cars, why can't it be easy to get a piloting license, and why can't biplanes be affordable?
>Can be made with a protective role cage and safety features to protect occupant
>Very low stall speed = relatively easy to fly, still going faster than ground traffic
>Low top speed means they're not going crazy fast all over the place
If the United States and Europe were smart, it would boot out all the immigrants, embrace the demographic decline like Japan, embrace automation, every citizen could affordably own at least two houses, and older neighborhoods could be leveled so small airfields could be constructed.
Fuckin'... BI-PLANES, MAN!
okay, firstly your hot take on what the west should do is terrible and secondly biplanes are actually some of the hardest planes to land because it's really really fucking easy to smash that prop on landing because you've just got so much lift that it's really hard to get down to speeds where you can angle the plane up and still be going down or straight-ish which is vital to landing with that kind of landing gear setup
tl;dr you know about as much about planes as you do about world politics never ask a question this retarded again

I'm so tired of being a shitty fucking driver, how the hell can I improve? No matter what I do, I just can't get comfortable in a car, I get anxious, and I make absolutely retarded mistakes all the goddamn time. Do I just need to practice more, and go on roads that I am unfamiliar with? I rode with my father today, and he got really pissed at me, saying that I "drive like a woman", and I really want to change that.
>>17134074
just chill bro. know the limits of the machine and control it appropriately.
>>17134074
Maybe you're just a woman and need to accept that and therefore a shitty driver, after all bill nye told me gender is completely fluid and that is science.
>>17134074
Born chink, die chink.
There's nothing you can do, solly.
How fucked am I, /o/? Seems to me like the only serious damage is frame, body, radiator and headlights. I very likely don't have the money for a full body repair, but all I need is for it to run, which at minimum I'll need to bend the frame out and put a new radiator and coolant in it. How much will it cost?
Also, quick psa:
>get your tires changed before they're bald and your brakes start locking or you'll end up like me
You can fix it for the cost of the radiator, AC condensor and headlight housings. Use a strap hooked to a tree and the core support and ratchet it until its somewhat straight. Pop the new radiator and AC condensor in. Install new headlights. I had the same thing happen to my car and I drove it for a year after and it worked great. I sold the car and I still see it driving around town.
Pic related.
Also the final result. What happened was this stupid whore backed into my car with a huge truck and ripped the front end off. I got it running in a day with a new radiator ($250 was the cost since I had to have it that day to get to work tomorrow, otherwise I could have got it for $100), deleted the AC shit since it didn't work anyways and a week later I picked up a new hood and headlights. The bumper cover was just zip tied on.
>>17134025
>>17134064
Can't move it withouta tow truck or a new radiator (it won't even hold coolant), and I need to get the frame bent out in order to get a new radiator in it, unless I totally redneck it and put the new radiator on the outside of the frame.
Why do people speed? All that's going to happen is that you're going to put not only yourself but other drivers on the road at risk because of your reckless driving, and there's a chance that you're either going to get pulled over or get caught by a camera and receive fines/penalties.
Why don't you just follow the law and stay under the speed limit?
>>17129576
Fuck off, Police shill.
I was speeding on the way home, what you gonna do about it?
Because it's fun

Why do people shit post on one of the slowest boards of 4chan just to get 3 seconds of exasperated attention because their parents neglected them when they were young and they were socially ostracized at school?
I always see people on here not recommending dealers and financing used cars, but what if I have really good credit?
I'm looking at a 2008 civic ex with ~60k miles for 8 grand.
I'll be piggy backing off my Dad's credit, for I should be around 2% APR.
Why shouldn't I just finance it over 5 years or something? It's low enough mileage that it'll last me through grad school easily (4 years) and it'll be like a 100 bucks a month.
Interest at around %2.5 on 8k is only 500 over the span of 5 years.
Keep in mind that I've been a bench racer and this is my first car.
Also I'll be taking this on 300 mile trips to and from grad school and home, would it survive? The service history seems good.
Help pls

wat the fug
>>17121657
Don't really have the cash to pay for it upfront
Keep in mind I'm 22 and I'm going to be signing 45k a year in loans for the next 4 years (pharm school). So yeah.
~100 bucks a month isn't a big burden on my parents, and I don't want them to pay anything more.
If they get me a car, they'll probably lease some auto nissan shitbox.
This is the only manual in my area, since they refuse to even consider craigslist.
>>17121676
To elaborate on this, I have 2k saved up from working (I paid for all my pre-pharm expenses, just applying to schools was $800) but I really just want to throw those in savings, because I know I'll need them after I graduate to at least start renting an apt/ any other emergency that might come up.
Also I really want a sportyish car in manual...
A chevy cargo van has been parked infront of my house for 3 days.
Two dudes never got out and it's been sitting there.
What should I do?
>>17095888
Pick up your phone, walk to the window, and start talking about filming child pornography. If your door gets kicked in, you'll know who it is.

It's a accomplishment you can be proud of, faggot. I'm sure you are just pathetically trying to make fun of non degenerates that have an actual interest instead of wasting valuable time for 20 minutes of simple pleasure, but the funny thing that you never are going to realize is that those people are superior in 99% to you and your kind. 3 DIMENSIONAL PIG DISGUSTING!
Cars are similar to women in that the require a lot of time and money, but are way more rewarding. When did you stop falling for the grill meme?
>pic related, mfw she dumped me for spending too much time on my car instead of with her
Forgot to ask: Has this happened to any of y/o/u? Why do they hate what we love?
>>17138189
Well I love my boyfriend, and I love hearing him talk about his passions, which includes his car. Sounds to me like that girl was selfish and you were better off without her.
It's all a game of balance. Girls want attention on them, but at the same time if she actually cared she'd understand.
This is a lovely pic, the two model of cars that surroud the downtown of my city, and my state, they go anywere in the most exigent terrain for a little price
A dacia (unknown name) and a renault 12 (1973) they had like 700000 but they are still working fine
k.. keep me posted
Yes, they are taxis, and there is a lot of them in the downtowns
As you can see theres a huge contrast between the downtowns and the "rich" towns
What do you lads think about this car?
Would you drive it?
I like ugly hatchbacks as commuter cars, but this thing went too far.
As ugly as it is, it is very practical.
I'd still never get caught driving one.
duh, if I had kids I'll be all over that thing
look at the interior, it's the best thing ever
and because of it's notoriety as solds ugliest minivan, it's worth pennies
I'd totally drive it, I don't have to look at it when I'm inside
also facelifted vesion looks completely normal

Only the Wrangler is popular and most people want the TJ and YJ.
It's mostly for outdoorsmen and larper faggots.
When Chrysler took over, they became shit.

what does /o/ think about the toyota paseo? Should i buy one? they are dirt cheap over here and seem like the perfect shitbox.
Tercel with a cuter body.
Gud kar.
>>17137641
It's just a better looking Toyota Tercel/Toyota Starlet.
Can't really say anything bad about it beyond that it looks faster than it is.
>>17137749
I have a list of parts that interchange between the Starlet, Tercel, and Paseo.
What prevented 3 wheeled cars from becoming popular? Was it for aesthetic reasons or for technical reasons?
Conspiracy by tire manufacturers
Considered a motorcycle in a number of states. Must have endorsement and helmet.
