Behold my 2008 forester with 105k miles bought for $7,000. I'm thinking it will look way less "mom" once I put a roof rack on it.
>>17137491
Nice. Foresters are comfy cars.
>>17137491
nice car but fuck roof racks, get a decent set of wheels and springs

Not OP But I was in tech school. Can confirm shit like this happens. My instructor actually encouraged us to watch Scotty Kilmer videos.
>>17137075
We were initially watching some tirerack video. Then Scotty was on deck.
So I used to hear that M-B vehicles, especially AMG, were built for cruising near top speed for long distances on German roads. Does the same apply to the American market models or do they have shittier cooling because the highest speed limit in the country is a pussy ass 85mph?
Just wondering because if I ever had $200k to spend on a car I'd probably spend it on a Merc, and occasionally take long trips on the interstate.
The fuck. its the same shit
>>17136922
What are you, 16? ALL car manufacturers have at least slightly different mechanical designs between countries and especially continents.
>>17137041
you sound 16.
the only differences are emissions equipment 99% of the time. they aren't going to make a different model with smaller radiators or some shit just because it's sold in a different country. When you're cruising on the highway there is plenty of airflow to keep things cool anyway.
Job in the automotive industry
I deliver custom ceramics, it's okay
>>17136409
I did an internship at a garage once. Had a lot of fun with it and wanted to make it a carreer, but then moved to a different country. Nobody would honor it because my previous supervisor didn't speak English and couldn't give a reference.
Now my only job is to be a consumer buying products for cars and keeping the industry moving.

Custom ceramics?
Why do people consider Lamborghinis as a kid's dream car?
I mean they recently set a track record and handles competently like the other super cars from the reviews I've read. Aren't they not competent enough or what?
What are your opinions on Lamborghinis?
>It's okay if you are a poorfag(like me) or a Lamborghini disliker because you can give your opinion on this.
nice Audi
They all look the same and they're all paddles

>Lamborghini scared to compete in motorsports
RPSTV got doxed/reported by /o/ and it made the news.

he reminds me of snowcat.
I just drove a manual car for the first time today and it's pretty easy, before i was afraid but now i'm not anymore. Take about 20 minutes to you to learn the basics and get the car moving.
It's not hard, you just need to "break the ice"

Why does BMW have a reputation of being unreliable?
Because they're designed by the dumb part of German engineering.
>>17132978
Their straight 6 engines are bretty gud. The older V8 engines have issues when you're a poorfag and buy a 740 with 170k miles.
All luxury cars have more stuff in them, hence more stuff to break. A base E36 or E46 isn't too bad to own. A 7-series loaded with every option will be expensive. When some electronic bit breaks, you can try to find used but will probably have to buy overpriced OEM from Germany.
It's certainly fast, but why is it so BIG? When is Honda going to make something small and good looking again?

Safety.
Never.
i ask the same question about this.

How much do y'all pay in insurance br/o/s?
I am going to start looking around for quotes to see what I would have to pay.

What's the worst wreck you have been involved in?
Yo moms pussy when i wrekt it.
Crashed my Nova when I was a dumb teenager, into a Saturn, 5 people in my car, lap belts in the front, no seatbelts in the back, going over 100mph, folded in my firewall and tore the wheels off one side of the Saturn. Somehow everyone was unharmed, and the driver of the Saturn turned out to be drunk so I completely lucked out on all fronts, they didn't hold me at fault even though my skid marks were almost 100 yards. Either way I suggest not getting involved in a high speed wreck.
The one that almost killed me, had me in the hospital for 3 months, and left me walking with a crutch for a year.
Beer and a fast car....fun times.

1st for the return of /OVGF1/
I made a Devil Z build on FH3 if anyone wants it. Just type Wangan in search bar.
Couldn't get the stock carburated engine to 666hp, so I had to swap in a modern I6 unfortunately.
Will GT Sport be as good as 6?
hey /o/ttozone. need to but a vehicle. I'm single 21 in vegas. parents let me use their vehicle to come down here for a job. can't use theres, won't pass smog. trust me, I've spent the past 6 months and 1000 dollars trying to fix it.
to make an even longer story short I gave my mom 11k dollars I will never see so my budget is low. (not going to lend any more money to her)
this pickup is almost perfect for what I want. 1992 gmc Sierra k2500 for 1600. only issues I have are it's at 260000 miles and it is kind of old. so what I'm asking is this a good pickup? any major engine or tranny issues with this kind of truck. any advice would help me out on deciding to take it or run.
>>17140991
get it and learn your lesson to never give people that much money. truck sucks

Truck looks nice (what's going on with the bumper?). Depending on which motor and transmission it has, you're different levels of set.
I'd do it.
So my buddy has got a BRZ, its had the basics done w/ intake/exhaust/tune; we installed a set of teins and wheel spacers and now the car feels much more direct. Personally i think the car feels a million times better, having always driven FWD and AWD i never felt comfortable in the car until this last round of work, i now enjoy it more than other cars (despite being the slowest iv ever had) and its changed my entire outlook of what i like to feel in a car.
He on the other hand cant seem to stand driving it, says the car feels twitchy, bouncy, and complains about feeling every imperfection in the road (no its not spine ripping stiff, just lots of road feel). I dont know whats going on, its enjoying road feel an acquired taste? Is this level of road feel exhausting? am i feeling some crazy harmonic resonance through the springs rather than the actual road?
>>17140801
Your friend is a normie pleb. Tell him to sell the BRZ and buy a Prius.
>>17140843
you might be right, but id really like to see someone defend his argument just so i can understand where hes coming from
>>17140801
your friend is a typical normie faggot who buys a BRZ. basically the target audience, wannabe "such a car guy". and you're a fuck idiot too, oh wow you spent thousands of extra dollars on your suspension and bolt ons and it feels better?? whoa! also fuck the frslow
So there's an SUV blocking my driveway. The Driver's door is open and it has an automatic transmission. Is there any way of popping it into neutral so I can push it out of the way?
>>17140233
Depends on how new it is.
Just call the cops.
>>17140233
How long has it been there? Ask your neighbors about it.
>>17140233
It depends on the car. MOST require a ket in the ignition for the tranny to unlock. Some push to start ones dont and can be easily shifted. There isnt really a way of knowing without actually trying. I advize against it since you can be held liable for any damage, and or be sued, or blamed for some prior bullshit on the car.
