what the hell is this?

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mechanical Works (seasons 1-2 + MSV).
Wasn't there one that came out recently?
"Go back to where these girls are" - what did Kamille mean by this
This.

Fuck it I'll bite.
The girls(Recoa and Sara) were dead and Kamile hated Scirocco's guts so hard, he wanted him dead, thus sending him where the girls were: the afterlife (aka newtype fuckfest)

How did his helmet break again
Can you please help me out a bit? I want to watch the anime movies, not the series, not the Live-Action. Is there really an order the movies are following or are they all basically remakes of the same story without any continuation, meaning I can watch anyone I want even though I'm a stranger to the whole thing? Are there skippable/remades one?
>>15613310
>I want to watch the anime movies, not the series
>not the series
>not wanting to watch everything G.i.T.S.
The fuck is wrong with you?
>>15613331
I want to start with the movies, if I don't like them then there's no point in watching the series
>>15613333
the series is way different to the movies though, just watch everything but start with the first movie and stand alone complex
Are there any mecha shows with fight scenes similar to this?
https://youtu.be/sWbFV0QT_6k
By similar I mean using mma and similar/higher levels of brutality, as well as low/no weapon usage.
I'm googling for recommendations but I was wondering if /m/ could suggest something better.
>>15613095
Okay then any sort of martial arts then. I don't care. Just as long as it isn't fires laser to win.
>>15613088
Tetsujin has no weapons
Gorg and Giant Robo rarely use theirs
Godannar does have weapons, but they're all punch and kick assists. Not a very brutal series though
I'd also check out Cybernetics Guardian/Cyguard, which is VERY brutal
Here's a good Tetsujin webm

You better watch those wrist rockets, Anon.

Yes, and pretty good looking too.
The mecha/armor/other visual stuff designs are the only good thing to come from the prequels.

More hotblooded gundam. No more of the dumb war shit, I want more G-gundam bullshit.
>>15610840
I want Reiji to finally come back.
I want Pacific Rim 2 to be good.
Is the original Gundam too old to be good today?
No. Next question.
It's a fucking timeless classic, unless you are a troglodyte who can't appreciate such masterpiece then you should be able to thoroughly enjoy it.
Absolutely
It wasn't good enough when it originally aired.
Does anyone know the name of the track that played when Kira killed rau?
Countdown. It's one of my SEED favorite tracks along with Tachiagare Okori Yo and Saikisen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwuRulJBQdA
I'll never get over how good CE's soundtrack is.
Anyone know that one track with the electric guitar rifts?
Why is Gasaraki not more popular?
>>15609858
Because it's both a slow burn and has an ending that doesn't make any sense

What does /m/ think about this anime? Is it any good and would you recommend me or anyone else to watch it?
Knights of Sidonia is pretty much my favourite /m/ thing ever.

Mediocre at best, you'd be better off watching something actually good.
>>15609730
>Is it any good
It's alright. There are aspects of it that are interesting in the story, and the CGI is just good enough to be watchable. I think the second season is better.
>would you recommend me or anyone else to watch it?
I'd recommend checking it out. I feel like Sidonia is going to be somewhat hit or miss overall.
What's the Death Grips of Mecha?

http://ew.com/movies/2017/06/09/chappie-director-says-response-to-flop-was-unbelievably-painful/
> Just a few years ago, coming off the unexpected breakthrough success of District 9, Neill Blomkamp seemed like one of the hottest young directors in Hollywood. Unfortunately, some of his recent movies haven’t fared as well. For instance, 2015’s Chappie stumbled at the box office and inspired mostly negative reviews; EW called it “dull” in a C review. Now, in a new interview with Den of Geek, Blomkamp said he took those criticisms hard.
> “Chappie was unbelievably painful for me,” Blomkamp said. “That was difficult on several levels. But the thing with Chappie was, it felt like it was extremely close to the film I had in my head. Up until the film came out, I felt like I had given my all, and that I’d tried my hardest to make the film I had in my head, and I felt like I achieved that.”
> Elsewhere in the interview, Blomkamp adds that negative reception of Chappie “definitely hurt several parts of my career, I think.” Earlier this week, in an interview with The Verge, Blomkamp confirmed that his long-awaited Alien sequel is “totally dead.”

Chappie was unbelievably painful to watch too so that's both sides I guess.
I appreciate that they were trying to make a unique movie that could be set apart from generic mass-production Hollywood action trash, but it turned out to be a cringey mess of a gangster film without a single likable character.
I've never even bothered to watch this.
>>15606006
Good. Save yourself the trouble.
What does /m/ think of After War Gundam X? I hardly see it mentioned at all, be it on /m/ or anywhere else. I see praise from time to time, but even that is rare, yet it's not widely hated as well like SEED or Reco G or even IBO.
There is a thread like every two weeks.
Christ, X has gone from "that series that was okay nobody ever talks about" to "that series that everybody always talks about nobody talking about".
>>15605915
>/m/
>not bringing up Gundam at every given opportunity
>not giving you dozens of Gundam threads daily in which you can ask about other Gundam shows
Try being a Bryger fan
>>15605915
Why are people so obsessed with knowing what "/m/" thinks about any given show?
It's never a "Hey, let's talk about this show!" or "I just finished this show and have this to say about it", it's always fucking "HEY GUYS TELL ME HOW THE HIVEMIND SAYS I SHOULD FEEL ABOUT THIS SHOW!!!".
