Probably not great. Harmony Gold treats Robotech as more of a hostage situation than an actual franchise, so anything they 'finance' would be just dimes at best, and probably closer to nickles.

There's also the chance that a straight-up reboot of the series would open them up to another round of legal clusterfucks, considering how hazy their grasp on the IP is already. Its enough to potentially re-open the issue in court, which they have nothing to gain from because the previous ruling, while stupid, is totally in their favor and they don't stand to benefit from revisiting the topic.

OP I reccommend starting with older shows made in the 80s and early 90s, just to get a better feel for the genre.
