In the third movie when Neo and Trinity's ship goes through the cloud layer it fries all their electronics and crashes it. So presumable the cloud is designed to prevent machines from passing through it to do just that. Given that the original plot before rewrites was that the machines were farming humans to cultivate our brains as a neural network instead of that stupid idea of us being a power source, maybe they wanted a biological computing platform they could store themselves on and rocket into space.

I bet they contract out to Sunrise to have them make gunpla for them now. Or they make shows and hope that Sunrise will like it enough to license the design off of them to sell model kits.
There's also Sunrises own nongundam franchises. Patlabor got modelkits that were basically gunpla released as MGs.

For GBF season 3, I'd really like to see some stuff like that. We've explored what we can do with cameoing obscure machines from gundam, so what if we had people using kits from shows like Dragonar or Layzner?

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake, but a world as lawless as Zola could do with sequels, too- the entire conflict between the Innocent and Civilians would probably have far reaching implications and with how volatile so many Breakers are in a world with no laws it'd be interesting to see how things play out.
