Is Chomsky a genocide hipster? The only genocides he cares about are the Tiny Mixtapes/NYRB of genocide which are of no interest to anybody but losers with too much time on their hands
>"oh you think Laotian genocide was bad? Have you even heard of East Timor, you fucking pleb? Super influential and underrated"
>"Holy shit, you're into the RWANDAN genocide? what is this, 1994? It's time to grow up and learn about Sri Lanka."
>"lmao, Cambodia wasn't REAL genocide. Cambodia is a ClearChannel corporate propaganda bullshit genocide. You want to talk about genocide, let's talk about what Turkey's doing to the Kurds. Something that actually happened"
>the Tiny Mixtapes/NYRB of genocide
I appreciate that you coined this. I'm gonna keep this stored in my memory.
hi zizek
The word genocide is practically just a synonym for the holocaust in America, using it to describe other events will cause massive butthurt amongst some group
Holy fucking shit dude

Is the fact that pale male academia refuses to recognize any contemporary female literature as "great", borne out of the the fact that males refuse to recognize non-traditional acting women as "women" in any capacity?

After years of shitposting on 4chan, I have become unable to use reason and logic in order to articulate an argument. Instead, I appeal to ridicule and act dumb, and this makes me sad whenever I contemplate it alone. I don't even know what I think anymore to be honest.
What books should I read to fix this?
Start with the motherfucking Greeks.

Why in the name of sweet Christ on stilts is this popular?
Was it meant to be scary? It wasn't
Was it meant to be realistic? It wasn't
Was it meant to be oppressive? Depressing? Political? Interesting? Philosophical? It failed at all of these things, who is this fucking book appealing to?
People who wanted a cross between A Boy And His Dog, The Road, and Fallout 2?
I think it is a fast paced adventure meant for young men.
It has a fairly unique setting, an interesting plot with a couple of "twists" and has some dark themes of despair and humanity repeating their past mistakes (killing the dark ones and the nuclear war).

the game was unironically better than the book because it's a postmodern take on the "first person rail shooter" by being literally set on a railroad, a concept that could not be communicated through the medium of text
