You kinda have the opposite problem of me. I am coming out of what turned out to be a failed thing with a college-aged guy (I am 26). Trust me, there are plenty of older men out there who are mature, into you, and very willing to give you lots of love and have a monogamous relationship.

I have a doc that I could send you in private, but it's not written by me, it's just accrued information. My biggest mistake was not working on it for so long, and just settling on making my voice higher, it made me sound like a stereotypical faggy-voiced tranner for the longest time. You really need to record yourself over and over and figure out what works, then try to reproduce it until you can reasonably do so under normal conditions. Don't settle for a falsetto, and don't focus too much on pitch, remember that the key is resonance. Practice for a few months, like really practice, and you should be okay.

Again, my biggest mistake here was dawdling, but there are many cis women who start this late, so it wasn't as bad. The key here is to know what is appropriate when, and what suits you. You don't want to go out in full makeup just to do your laundry or get a McFlurry, and you don't want to pick out the wrong shade of foundation or lipstick or eyeshadow, etc. For me, I usually just put on a little foundation to hide any blemishes or imperfections, apply a shade of lipstick that complements my face (usually nothing too bright or colorful like most trannies wear, a rosy pink or dull red can do nicely), and a bit of mascara. I put on eyeliner when I'm feeling like I want to make a bigger impression, and almost never anything more than that.

All you need to do is put up with the shitty work environment (comes with most jobs anyways) and dissociate yourself from whatever degrading stuff they do. It's just "acting". I know it's not easy but for having no skill requirements, just a good body, it's still a job.
