Chilling at home after some douche with an overgassed 10.5in AR with brake made the last half of my range session terrible. What's worse is that 10 people were crowding the one AR while doing magdumps and going bix nood every 5 seconds. Some old guy with a Anschutz target rifle just left 30 seconds in.

Shot for the first time in a month and a half today. Fired about 60 rounds out of my AR, 100 out of my glock, 80 out of my .22 and 20 out of my Ruger LCP2

Spend the night cleaning the guns and the hoppes bottle that spilled in my tool box. Put on Out for Justice with Steven Seagal in the background (his only good movie if you ask me) and Boyz n' the Hood after that, loled at the scene where Ice Cube tries and fails to chamber a round in his Colt Double Eagle at the low rider meetup (seriously why the fuck would he pick that gun?)
Haven't done shit else today.


Nearest gun is my LCR which is in my pocket holster. Usually keep my AR ready to go in my closet but I don't want to chamber it when my roomates are in the next room as I'd rather them not know that I have a bunch of guns (plan on getting a safe as my next purchase)

I'm in a hotel room in Stuart, Iowa in the middle of a cross-country drive from Albany, NY to San Francisco. I made it here from Amherst, Ohio in 14 hours of driving today, and I'm hoping to make Cheyenne, Wyoming tomorrow, though I may be a little slowed down by the fact that I'm planning a stop in Sidney, Nebraska to see Cabela's headquarters/Store #1. I have my shortwave radio with me (a Degen 1103), but tonight I have it tuned to 1040 AM and they're playing a rerun of an old Coast to Coast episode from before George Noory took over and ruined the show. My nearest gun is the AR-7 that's sitting in my bag, which I brought with me because it's compact and 50 state legal.

Hell yes. I knew that when I read the Marine training manual. forward assists are good for brass checks, correcting a weak charging handle pull (not as much of an issue for people with experience) and that. Dust covers are another thing that should be on every AR. They're there for a reason.
