is Karambit legal in the US? asking for self defense, don't wanna to spent money on hand-gun.
>>27912744
It depends on state/county laws
you dont bring a knife to a gun fight, kid
>>27912766
Well maybe if you read some game theory you wouldn't have escalated shit to the point that you got mowed down with a tommy gun, you old mic.
So I'm looking for my first handgun. Preferably a 9mm for home defense and possibly conceal carry. My budget is $500.
Help me out /k/

>pistol
>home defense
Why do people keep doing this?
>>27912714
Glock 20 in glorious 10mm. I CC mine, but that's with a shoulder rig and I'm a big guy at 6'4" 240, so CC may not be as easy for you, but it can be done. As far as for general defense the 20 is a great gun, but if you're going for strictly home defense get a Mossman 500 for around $300 and spend the rest on ammo and accessories.

Thinking about getting a Surefire XC1 to throw on my CCW, Glock 19. I like it because it appears to add next to null weight and print to the Glock, but was hoping to get a few answers from my /k/omrades.
1) How is the XC1? Worth the cash? Does it add more print than I'm expecting?
2) Is there a better light at a similar size?
I will also obviously need a new holster to accommodate the light. My current holster is the Blade-Tech Nano: http://shop.blade-tech.com/index.php?cPath=1_13_16#.Vkuxr7_p9qB
I'd like the new holster to be similar. The features I require are IWB, kydex, ability to put on/off without undoing my whole belt, two points of attachment that I can attach on either side of a belt loop (to prevent sliding), full shirt guard, and minimum amount of ectra gaff protruding off the sides past the plastic actually covering the gun. I was looking at http://www.tacticalholsters.com/product/INC/Shadow_XC1_E.html (pic related,) but had a few questions about it.
1) Anyone have experience with it? Is it a solid holster? Comfy? Keeps the gun in secure?
2) Can I attach a second clip to those two holes on top of the slide?
3) The fuck is a mojo, and what is the difference between standard and super?
>>27912507
spending $300 on 200 lumens
>worth the cash?
no.
>mojo riser
makes the clip stick out from the holster more basically, which increases printing. also the clip comes bent away from the holster to push the holster into your body, which also increases printing. I love my g-code but the clip and mojo riser are fucking grade a retarded. I boiled my clip and bent it to me almost straight. i dont know why the fuck they design the clip like that.

With a little looking I can find it for $270. Might be able to find it for cheaper with a little more, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday ARE coming up. What price would you pay for it?
Hey /k/. What's the best game to simulate air combat these days?
As a kid I remember learning about planes/choppers and their weapons not from books or TV, but by playing games like TFX, Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, or B-17 Flying Fortress.
Last sim game I bought was Falcon 4.0, but... I never played it, as it required joystick, and mine broke.
So, what would you recommend to look at?
>>27912449
Are you planning on getting a stick? Because you really should.
BMS is very good once you get it running, and some of the modules for DCS do a pretty good job of simulating their planes. Flaming Cliffs is a good light Sim setup if you're just starting out.
>>27912511
I want to get HOTAS Warthog.
>>27912449
Nothing beats DCS
There's also Rise of Flight, for your wood and canvas shenanigans

/k/ from a realistic standpoint exactly how much money would the Diamond Dogs need to be able to fund their own Private Military as well as their Mother Base in the game? Tried asking this in /v/ but was met with epic memes.
In phantom pain they with one tiny oil rig in the middle of the ocean and small staff of talented mercenaries. They would need millions if not billions to keep this place up and running right?
Billions upon billions upon billions. A single blackhawk helicopter costs 21 million dollars. The maintenance cost is easily another million every year.
>>27912157
They'd pay for it with foreign contracts
>>27912157
Deepwater rigs cost between $600 million and $650 million, the least exspensive ones still run around $200 million.
Given that that looks like multiple platforms connected, its going to be more than $200 million.
Fuck knows what the rest costs.
>M3 AK PMAG is here
Where are yours, /k/? Why don't you have the best AK mag, ever?
because aks have been obsolete for quiet some time

Probably swimming in a pool full of tears with regards to how virtually every single gun control measure proposed in the past several years has had the opposite intended effect of spurring people to purchase firearms and states to strengthen (pro) gun laws.

Ask a guy whose been waiting 20 minutes for this box of .22lr anything.
Funny thing is I've already called the store and asked for an associate. Guess I'll be "that guy" and call again.
>wasting time with .22lr
There's a reason I have my 10/22 sitting in the corner of my room with the action packed full of axle grease, the bore oiled down, and the stock waxed.
Last time I paid for .22lr, it was around $40 for a box of Automatch.
Meanwhile, .223/5.56 is still plentiful and cheap as always.
>>27911583
>over 7c/r after tax
and this is why I always tell people that they may as well buy a high speed pellet rifle for plinking fun
or else jump up to ~20-25c/r centerfire
I just can't get excited about 22lr any more.

Be graphic on how inconvenient it was for you to wait. And dissatisfied with their service.
Maybe they will give you a gift card
If you were a broke college student in Canada
who is about to get a restricted license and
wants to buy a pistol ASAP before they're

Keep in mind I don't have much of a budget
$400 is about the max.
Tokarev is the best of the bunch.

sure
I've got an XD-9
>>27911454
I'd be more comfortable with something I'd shot before, but I wouldn't be terribly uncomfortable.
There's a lot of handfun elitism here, but at the end of the day, almost all of them will go boom.
Hey /k/,
What is your favorite 22lr rifle?
What do you do with your plinkers?
What would you guys recommend as a decent resetting steel target for 22lr rifle shooting? (50yrds)
