Well, after the recent events in Paris, we've seen some threads about getting firearms and carrying them in France.
Although being a french gun owner, I think that the utility of carrying a firearms is overrated and I'd like to talk about first aid, a thing that was too much dismissed in my opinion.

I remember the most important stuff, but I lack a good list of thing to put in a first-aid kit.

All I can think of now is :
-1 or 2 emergency hemostatic pillows (see first pic)
-3 to 4 tourniquets
-some pair of vinyl gloves
-a pair of fucking good medical scissors

What am I missing ?
Keep in mind that I'm thinking in a first reponder mind and that I should be able to carry the stuff on me like an EDC.

Two passages triggered me:

[1]
>"With the parts in hand, he researched to find a gun community that could assist him assembling the weapon - a favorite among insurgents, terrorists and warlords due to its durability"
>Implying that if Al Capone loves lemon juice, then lemon juice must be bad.

[2]
>"At the prompting of his employer, the journalist destroyed the gun he had assembled".
>Implying that it is a good message to destroy goods that have been legally acquired, obtained, assembled, or produced... just because assuming people might question your motives just by looking at them.

The U.S. sounds to me like a land of contrasts, with many people having an either/or attitude toward things:
- On the one hand, you have States in which it appears anything goes;
- Other States are surprisingly tough on weapon owners, yet their legal systems have more holes than Swiss cheese and you can accomplish a lot of stuff by being legal-savvy and ingenious.

Usually, on this board, I hear a lot of ppl calling us Yuropoor (true) or just cunts (true as well)... But sometimes I reckon we have a better time than Amerifags since we do not have to clash with all the paranoia that sometimes you see expressed in the U.S. media.

When I say "paranoia", I mean this: it seems some propaganda depicts Europe (and Western Europe, in particular) as a merry no-gunz place whereas, in fact, as I have proven in another thread, it is very easy to import a shitload of stuff in countries like Italy (e.g. AK47s, Moist-Nuggets...).
True, there are more restrictions on "bearing guns", but owning is legit and accidents are at their lowest (touch wood).

In the U.S. there is a huge debate that in Europe is virtually nonexistent. I would be more scared by how U.S. legal system is fucked up than by how many guns are around.

Before you crush me for having shared a UK link, please understand the whole story is 100% American and the journalist says almost the same things that triggered me in his video.

>"Assembling a Romanian variant is a builder wearing a camo jacket and a hat embroidered with an AR-15 rifle above the legend "Come and take it." His knuckle tattoos read "PRAY HARD.""

So, do these journalists linger on aesthetic details because they are concerned with the literary quality of their story,
...or do they cherry-pick cheesy details with the hope they will trigger some stereotypes (e.g. "huh huh this dude assembles gunz and haz scary tattoos")?

Why is the press so biased? Fuck me if I know why: cash? Click-baiting based on ppl's gut feelz? Holy crap I am so triggered right now.

So I was recently at a gun store in town, and this beauty caught my eye. Apparently they're manufactured in Bulgaria, shipped here, and reassembled and sold by Arsenal here in Las Vegas.

I'd never really considered owning an AK-pattern rifle, but this thing is amazing. Polymer hardware makes it insanely light, and from what I've seen in casual searches, the reviews on it are excellent.

Anyone own one? Had any problems with it? Have any other AK-pattern rifle they'd prefer instead?

Arsenal's SLR series of rifles are some of the best AKs on the market. They're expensive for what they are, though. A cheaper WASR will do everything it can do at half the price (minus have a top-tier folding stock). I wouldn't feel comfortable paying that much for a 7.62x39 AK.

I did, however, buy an SLR 104. The 104s are the best 5.45 AKs on the market and are well worth every penny.

tldr: if you're ok with paying $1100 for an AK they're fantastic, but if you want to save $500 just buy a WASR, and If you want a 5.45 rifle the SLR 104 is your best bet.
>>
I got one about a month ago, my first AK (buy once cry once for now). Have yet to shoot it but it feels great, light, and durable. Seems easier to field strip/less parts compared to my AR, looks great and the folding stock lock solidly. Very little mag wobble and sights are not canted. Rocking in the mags vs just shoving it in like in an AR is taking a while to get used to though.

That Nano is disgusting, OP. But yes, I used to have one and it is a nice gun.

To be completely honest, if I was going to buy another single stack smaller than my P239, I'd go with the Glock 43. The Nano definitely isn't bad though. I never once had an issue with it in the several thousand rounds I put through it and it was probably the easiest gun to carry and conceal that I have had.

I am always amazed by how fat these seals are. I have been around plenty of harbor seals in my life, and yes they are fat, but they are firm. Like if you smacked one it would hurt your hand. The seals in this video are like fucking balloons.

Am I the only one who notices this? Maybe just a different species in colder water so they are fatter, but I don't know.. Still seems very odd.

/k/ Listen to my tale of woe.

So heres the skinny, back in July I got my CC piece (a Glock 43). It feels great in the hand, is comfortable to shoot, excellent quality, eats any ammo I feed it, and is all around an perfect cc gun for me. There is one huge glaring problem with it.

I can't hit shit with it. I practice by throwing 30 rounds or so thru it every few weeks but I still can't hold a good enough pattern with it. I've tried firing off a few thru an LC9S they had at the range and I'm much better with that. The drawback to that one however is it doesnt feel right in my hand and is uncomfortable to carry.

Should I trade up for a different gun? Should I keep trying to improve with the glock?

What is your wisdom /k/?

Sig P239 is the answer to all your problems desu senpai
>>
The fact you can hit something with an LC9S but not a Glock 43 tells me it's your trigger finger, not a recoil flinch.

As such, just dry fire, dry fire, dry fire when you aren't at the range. Get to know every single creep and click and crunch of that trigger. Right where it breaks, right where it resets, how much over travel there is etc.

I can make a ragged 4-6" group at 10 yards with my Steyr

With my buddies TRP, it's 7 shots in one roughly .45 caliber hole

The difference between a good pull and a great one is fairly imperceptible until you have great trigger control... Sort of hard to explain but it takes a long time on something like a Glock. Some people pick it up faster than others, some it just takes time. Grip is a factor too-- when you pull the trigger, that is it-- do not tighten your other fingers. Support hand can be an issue too, is it driving you one direction or another? Etc.

There is a whole laundry list of things to eliminate when it comes to handgun "accuracy" before it's literally the accuracy of the hand gun at fault.

Since you are accurate with the LC9S, which has a much better (IMO) trigger, I wouldn't worry too much about the grip/support hand. If you consistently shoot left/right/high/low but still an accurate group then I would think about that.

TLDR just keep practicing
