I dunno the purpose of this thread

If there was a god of /k/, who would it be? simo haya? Gatling? Winchester? That chingchong who invented black powder?
>>27898500
you must be new here.
Only 500 kills
Fucking pleb tier
>Vasili Blokhin was a Soviet Major-General who served as the chief executioner of the Stalinist NKVD under the administrations of Yagoda, Yezhov and Beria (after their respective falls from power, Yagoda and Yezhov were both ironically executed by Blokhin himself)
>He is recorded as having executed at least 40,000 prisoners personally, by his own hand, including his killing of over 7,000 Polish prisoners of war in a single incident, only pausing to eat and sleep, during the Katyn massacre in spring 1940
>Blokhin initially decided on a minimum quota of at least 300 executions per night, but sometimes exceeding 700; and engineered an efficient system in which the prisoners were individually led to a small room. Blokhin would stand waiting behind the door in his executioner garb: a leather butcher's apron, leather hat, and shoulder-length leather gloves. Then, without a hearing, the reading of a sentence or any other formalities, each prisoner was brought in and restrained by guards while Blokhin shot them once in the base of the skull with a German Walther Model 2 .25 ACP pistol. He had brought an entire briefcase full of his own Walther pistols, since he did not trust the reliability of the Soviet TT-30 for the frequent, heavy use he intended.
>Each night, 25 trenches, measuring eight to ten meters long, were dug to hold the night's corpses, and each trench was covered up before dawn
>Blokhin was forcibly retired in 1953 following Stalin's death that March. After Beria's fall from power in June of the same year, Blokhin's rank was stripped from him. He reportedly sank into alcoholism, went insane, and shot himself in the head with his service pistol.

It took hundreds of years between the discovery of black powder and it's effective implementation in warfare. If the guy who discovered it is mention-able, then so is the man who discovered it could be harnessed to do more than make noise.
Weapon designers and inventors are definitely /k/, but so are then men who effectively combined these weapons with a winning strategy. To that end, Clausewitz, Tsu, Machiavelli, and Cesar Borgia are the recognized giants of this field. Implementation on a tactical level is also /k/, so people like Rommel and Guderian should also be considered.
What is best HD firearm?
Pistol vs Shotgun?
If pistol, what caliber?
Matter of preference, which one could you afford to train with most. Usually a shotgun is the most inexpensive route.
>>27898461
>reviving for discussion
But yeah, it's hard to weigh the differences between a longer shotgun that'll probably put them out of action with a hit, or a pistol who's wounds are very often survived nowdays. Probably some personal preference like >>27898513 said.
My preference is the shotgun personally. I want them dead ASAP. If they're breaking into my house anyway, I feel justified in assuming that they're more than willing to kill/injure me to get what they want.
I'd say a fullsize 9mm with a 300+ lumen mounted light. Compact compared to long gun, good capacity, and easy to control.
Do you conceal carry, and if so what kind of ammo do you use?

147gr. Ranger-T 9mm (RA9T)

For awhile I knew that people shot .32 S&W Long in their Nagants so I went to test it out.
And the results are in, I lived from it.
But I don't see the point, 7.62 Nagant is not that much more expensive so...
Also I don't think shooting the magnums in it would probably end up with the shooter missing some body pieces.
>>27897774
How is the M1895 Nagant. I've heard that they're pretty terrible revolvers and the only cool thing about them is the gas-seal system.
there was a webm of some guy fumbling around trying to reload the gun that summed up how bad it was.
>>27897794
They are pretty terrible revolvers.
Stupid, foreskinned, ultra-anemic round aside, they have the world's worst trigger pull in both DA and SA, the rear sight is nonexistent, and they have a weird grip angle that somehow magnifies the recoil and muzzle flip far beyond what the caliber should produce.
>>27897794
Awful.
Even a Russiaboo, Engineering geek and non poor fag regrets the 100 I spent. It's that bad. I really want to like it too.
>Come home from the weekend with my girlfriend from South Dakota (got to shoot a .357 ruger)
>see my Ruger .22 45 laying on living room table
>.22lr box laying out too
>1 MAG LOADED HALFWAY but not in the gun
>go upstairs to ask my sister why my gun is out
>says she just got home, and that my gay roommate/friend took it out (it was hidden in my closet, unlocked)
>???
>roommate comes home
>me: you did a bad thing, you left my gun out with ammo in a magazine and took it out without my permission
>him: so? it's not like there are children in this house
>me: yes, but you took it out with my permission, and it is dangerous to leave a gun lying out unsupervised. I just don't want you to do it again, im not mad, but its not okay
>him: you just want to yell at me, you're making no sense, i don't see the logic in that, but its your gun so you can make up whatever stupid rule you want to
>me: it's dangerous to leave a gun out with ammo loaded into the magazine
>him: so its not like any is gonna come in here and take the gun and shoot us
I literally just stopped talking to him because i realized there is no way to put logic into someone like that.
I know I didn't have my gun locked, but it was hidden in the closet underneath things
My sister told me he took it out to try and scare a boy that she had over
Seriously what the fuck?
>>27897163
Next time you go out leave the gun with a round chambered and a full mag so when the dumb faggot decides to play cawwadooty IRL he NDs and gets arrested.
>>27897163
>improperly storing firearms
>blames others
>>27897163
Why don't you have gun locks?
I've been thinking about getting a bolt action in .308 and an AR in 300 blackout. It seems like you could use the same bullets to reload for either rifle, and they would make a nice combo for both close and long range shooting. It seems they are very versatile in both loads & available bullets. Anyway, I figured I'd bring it up and see what /k/ has to say.
>>27896718
Your 308 rifle and your 300 rifle may be more accurate with different types of 30 cal bullets. But they might also both like the same bullets. Either way it is a good idea. I am planning to do the same, I have 308 and 30-06 rifles, and eventually will get a 300 rifle and reload for all 3.
I wouldn't expect much overlap in bullets... 300 mostly uses super light, or super heavy 30cal projectiles and the the 308 is going to be more mid range....
OP here.
I know they might not align perfectly on grain weights, but it seems that either would have a lot of options though. There are a shit ton of different bullets out there for 30 cal. It was either that, or get a single battle rifle in .308. I like the idea of having both guns. It seems they would each out perform the battle rifle in their respective areas.
Poland has just elected a new government that declared that as opposed to rest of EU it will not accept any immigrants. It also wants to increase our military budget. It will be at least 1 000 000 000 USD bigger, possibly 2-5 times more. I understand that it's not a lot compared to, say, USA, but it's a start for a country the size of one US state.
So, what's the best way to spend the money? Where do we lack the most? Here is our current loadout:

Probably reinforcing your borders and investing in anti-armor and anti-air weapons and training to deter Russia.

Lets say that you are now head of R&D of a large gun company and have blackmail to push through whatever guns your autistic heart desires. What would they be?
Mine are
>lever rifle that accepts PSL or SVD magazines or in .308 that accepts AR10 or FAL mags
>Medusa cylinder system on a MP412 REX top break (wood grip option from the onset)
>Highwall clone in x54, 30-30, 308 5
>Burgess folding shotgun chambered to be compatible with modern shells
>Schwarzlose 1898 clone to make Ian sempai happy
>>27895582
Just more AR15s because they're currently the best gun offered and Ian from Forgottenweapons agrees even and hes seen a lot of guns in his time.
>>27895582

What does /k/ think NATO will look like in 30 to 50 years? Only logical thing that I could of think of besides the Alliance going to shit and dissolving.
Ireland isn't in NATO.
Either dissolving as the world slips further into an anarchic clusterfuck, or expanding into a worldwide alliance (obviously changing their name) to include West-aligned countries outside of Europe and North America
>>27892860
Yes this is why the picture is titled 'Future of NATO, maybe'.
How come Chinese military history is such a complete joke?
Is it a cultural thing that makes them so bad at war?
A long history of internal conflict meant that when China had to muster forces to actually defend themselves against modernized militaries (which the Chinese weren't) they usually only had shitloads of poorly equipped inexperienced troops.
why this thread is such a complete joke? did you mean to post on /his/?
That's what happens when you build your military to protect whoever the ruler is and not the country, something they do to this day.
If you get the Yamato.
Put radar.
AA missiles.
Replace every AA turret with a Phalanx CIWS.
Anti-torpedo missiles.
I doubt any force would be able to sink it.
What's the fucking point? You could have the exact same ship except much lighter by not having the stupid armor and guns.
>>27890845
you got to be 18 to post here, underage weeb
we stopped using battleships for the same reason we stopped using plates of armor
Why should civilians have access to the same firepower as trained Army Officials /k/?
Also, would you buy it? What'd they change about it from the older ones?
>>27889179
>Makes her picture a tri color because 100's of civilians were shot and blown up the other night

so /k/ how many of you neck beards would actually enlist during ww3?
>>27888946
>enlist
At this point in warfare, the fight would already be on the doorstep, m8. Enlist would just take up valuable kebab removal time.
Why not?
It'd be really fucking important to be a third world war.
>too old to enlist
Well in war times they typically extend the age so maybe. But we'd need an actual enemy for me to get involved, Not just "brown people". That's why I never joined in the first place
It's time for another Se/k/ret Santa thread, here's the rundown on what's up.
/k/ has been doing Secret Santas for the past few years run by some awesome /k/ommandos. The hosting privilege has changed hands a few times each Christmas. Last year I aided "The Metallurgist" in running the 2014 Se/k/ret Santa and together we paired up at least 65 /k/ommrades. Each year things have gone great, everyone had fun, no one ever got doxxed or anything unpleasant shipped to them as we continued the tradition of having one of the most tight knit and chill fun boards of the chans.
This year Johnson has volunteered himself as Se/k/ret Santa coordinator and I'll be helping him as I helped The Metallurgist last year. Currently we have at least 30 /k/ommandos signed up from 5 different countries. /k/ommrades will be matched up by requested price and relevant requests. Non-US /k/ommandos will likely be paired up to reduce the number of people dealing with international shipping.
If you'd like to sign up please include the following in your email to [email protected]

I've gotten a few emails from people saying "I'M IN!" and then providing a wishlist then nothing else.
You should send the PROPER information.
Good luck guys, I lost $60 last time I participated in Se/k/ret Santa.
