Y-20 Strategic Airlifter enters service, only 3 years after maiden flight. What a speed.
Just as Jane's predicted.
Tailnumber indicates the 4th Division, which is an operational unit.
Now, China's power-projection will grow larger, as nothing will prevent mass production anymore.
http://www.janes.com/article/58397/china-s-y-20-transport-aircraft-may-enter-service-in-2016
According to Jane's as well, China would want 1000 Y-20s. This number will enable China to deploy entire armored divisions by air.
http://www.janes.com/article/61026/china-needs-more-than-1-000-xian-y-20-transport-aircraft
It will finally kill the meme about China having no power projection.

Engines are still the D-30 copy, WS-18.
But even with those. 66 ton carrying capacity is ensured.

Prototype with different color scheme.

So I'm looking at starting with an SKS. This one in particular since it's pretty cheap and I can get a hunting license for pretty cheap as well. Looking at moving up north at some point.
Thoughts on this particular model?

bampin.
Also looking at another model with the more traditional receiver.
This is the other I'm considering. A bit cheaper and more traditional. I am an absolute gun noob, having only handled a smith and wesson revolver of some kind back in my teens. I think it was chambered in .38.

How ugly is it gonna be when the general public realizes that any asshole with a 3D printer can get a gun?
>>30307336
By the time the technology is advanced enough to where it is cheaper for somebody to buy a 3D printer instead of just go out and buy a factory made gun, the files for guns printed from 3D printers will be illegal, traceable, and probably protected much how they have antipirate software on music/videogames.
>>30307336
That looks better than my rattlecan plan to insure my guns stay on my person.
Everybody does know, but nobody freaks out because they haven't been used for crime (yet)
Did I do alright, /k/? Also general pro-gun stats, arguments, etc. thread.
>inb4 "gun politics have nothing to do with guns," t. mods
Ya did good man, but with that level of groupthink going on I don't know if it'll do much good. Still, you provided facts and gave statistics without hyperbole. If they start attacking you again you'll know that you're dealing with lost causes.
Still, glad you tried at least.

Hey /k/, anon here.
I'm new to /k/, but not to 4chan.
Anyways, Floridafag here.
My question is, are guns registered to United States Citizens, that are Florida residents?
This is probably just misinformation from people, but I thought that guns bought from dealers are registered to that person.
For example, my sister's boyfriend's truck was broken into, and he reported his handgun stolen to the police, because he said it was 'registered' to him.
My confusion then stems from 'Florida Law Wiki', where it says that lists of (Florida) citizens with guns, or lists of guns that (Florida) citizens own, are illegal.
So what's the verdict?
Is the Remington .22 I bought from Bass Pro (in Florida) on a list somewhere, registered to me?
>>30307054
There's no registration, but the FFL he bought it from keeps the records of the purchase for a few years to help back track in case of circumstances like that. If he bought it privately he'd just need the serial number when he reports it to prove he owned it.
Long story short, there's no "registration" but if he can prove he owned it there's no problem getting it returned to him in the event of a crime.
>>30307095
Okay, so I'm new to this whole gun owning business.
So for a purely hypothetical situation, if I wanted to own a collection of guns without raising any suspicion/red flags, the best way would be to buy guns from a private party at a gun show?
For any federal agents reading this, I would never want to own a stockpile of guns and/or ammo, because that is a waste of money and this is totally a hypothetical scenario.
>>30307140
no because there's nothing illegal about buying a large amount of firearms and ammo and the only person it would raise suspicion with in the first place would be the FFL handling the transaction. and the whole gunshow meme is stupid, it's the same deal as buying a gun from someone on gunbroker or armslist if you meet up with them to buy it in person.
To the best of my understanding, the point of 2A was to allow the general populace to maintain to the best of their ability the same weaponry the government itself was able to keep. Would that mean any restrictions on non-felon firearm ownership are unconstitutional?
Yeah dude. Shall not be infringed. But for a few decades gun owners got burned for being complacent.
Since when has a thing being unconstitutional ever stopped the feds from doing it?

Germanfag here. My uncle died yesterday, spent the last night with my family, talking about him. I didn't know him very good, and it's actually been the first time i heard a lot of stories about him. I knew he was kind of rightwing, and that he grew up in South Africa and came to Germany after the modern South Africa was founded in 1994. Always sounded plausible to me, and i never really cared for that guy as he and my dad (his half brother) never had much contact.
Turns out he was not just some racist old man, he actually fought in Rhodesia in the 70s. After that, he joined the South African Defence force and was major the time the army got disbanded.
I know you fags like this kind of stuff, so thought you might be interested to hear this. Also, i never really was into all this hail rhodesia shit. Now i'm starting to have interest, so please post pictures and tell me if my uncle probably was some really badass commando dude or just the old racist fart i always thought he was.
Pic related, but from google.

/k/ doesn't like to admit it because they like the pictures of men in short shorts, but when South Africa wants nothing to do with you while they're balls deep in the apartheid, that's a bad sign.
What's the cheapest AR that will fire when folded?
>>30306733
every AR will fire when folded
once
>>30306760
I want one that has this essential function that damn near all other modern firearms have.
>>30306828
I'm sure you can find one, but it's really really really not suited to this functionality.
I think some of the piston ARs are able to fire when folded.
What are some firearms that you might hypothetically own that might theoretically be not entirely ATF compliant? Hypothetically, I might have found a 19' shotgun in the run down shed in my backyard when I was moving in. Theoretically, of course, it is still sitting in my closet and I have not shot it to this day. Pic not related. If it does exist, it has tape all over the end of the stock and is rusted to shot having been in a hot shed with tons of liquids for a couple years. Some old Standard model made in god knows when.
BTW my dog is also hypothetical so please don't shoot it ATF
>>30306367
get a new stock/barrel or whatever is hypothetically wrong with it and just theoretically say that you got it in a private sale in the 90s
>>30306367
>>30306373
If you did actually own this hypothetical sawn off shotgun your dog would be shot. But thankfully you are a good Servant of the US Government and wouldnt do such a thing
I signed a contract at meps 5 weeks ago the guy at OC marines told me that we all had to sign open contracts and deal with the MOS change with our recruiters the civilian working phase 2 at MEPS told me the same thing twice, and my recruiter told me that. What are the odds ill get the MOS i want(0311)
My Sig226 for you to view i guess.

I also ship in December so i got time to make sure everythings in order right lol.
Been pretty worried about all of this :D
bump? Someone Help?
i never come to /k/ and its my first time posting
im looking into buying my first gun, ive been told to get a revolver because there simple and robust easy to clean etc however while lurking i see people yelling GET A GLOCK like a 17 or 19
my question is what gun should i start out with id prefer something reliable relatively cheap and with cheap and common ammo like .357
give it your best shot /k/(bum dum tsss)
pic was along the lines of what i was thinking
>>30306256
Any .357 revolver that feels good in your hand. Shoot +P .38 rounds -- you can shoot .38 Specials, .38+P, or .357 in the same handgun, and you cannot limp-wrist it, nor do you need a safety/slide/mag release. Very user friendly.
I'm also shopping. maybe this will help, it helped me.
>>30306299
i see
>>30306352
ive seen this posted before it did help but i felt that it didnt give a good selection of revolvers i found it fascinating that a good shotgun like the mossberg is so cheap

They just smell so goddamn good, bakelites are so fuckin dope.
Hi /k/. Would a /k/raut be present who can tell me about gun laws in Germany? I need to know, in brief, what firearms are legal there and under what conditions - but I can't seem to find a good, to-the-point source for some elusive reason. Answers and or links would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
Only the muslims are allowed firearms as to not offend them and their peaceful religion :^)
>>30306191
I specifically posted here and not on /pol/ or /int/ to avoid that kind of response. Ironic.
But now that it's been said I can probably tell you that the migrant situation is part of the reason why I ask.

Calm down m8 I'm just havin a giggle.
