Soup /k/?
My probation for a totally non-violent unrelated offense ends this year (first offense, so charged, but not convicted)
What should be my first firearm purchase?
Mauser Red 9
>>30320971
Something a little more affordable...?
That I'd be willing to shoot more than once a year?
Why not the Colt Anaconda?
Alright /k/ids, what's your favorite Vehicle paint job?
>3 color camouflage (pic related)
>4 color camouflage
>Desert sand
>Flat OD
>pink
>etc
I'm all for 3 color camouflage, I'm so tired of desert sand
I'm a big fan of 3 color US vehicle camo, but MERDC has always been my favorite.
>>30320989
Also, whatever this is looks pretty nice. I don't think it was all that common as this is the only image I have of it.
Anything that isn't this is wrong.
So what will happen if the AWB happens again?
The same shit as last time?
>>30320809
Not from the US so unsure what will happen and what happened last time.
Will current owners be forced to register? Will they be able to buy parts?
>>30320832
>implying they will include a sunset clause this time
So are polymer lowers as shitty as I've heard?
Lowers were not designed to be made of polymer.
>>30320668
The only polymer lowers worth owning are the CavArms/GWACS lowers since they properly support the recoil assembly and fire control.
>>30320679
Correct, but if you kill a man the only thing you need to do is start a fire to melt the evidence. That and chuck the barrel and firing pin.
160$, all original parts bayonet included. Wonderful at shooting, got about a 6.5 inch group at 250 feet with my first time shooting her bore is near perfect (my camera blows dickery do and couldent get a very good shot of it) Pretty fond of this one.

>>30320603
i figured my collection was missing something nuggety so i wanted one.
Has anyone used motor oil and atf to both lube and protect your guns from corrosion with any success ? I've read some ATF also have anti fouling properties for the bore (copper/lead)
School me /k/
>>30320587
Motor oil is fine for lube, but tranny fluid is some nasty stuff. It will eat away at any plastic or at the very least, discolor it. But it does clean pretty decently. So maybe you can use atf to clean, then motor oil to lube.
I use motor oil sometimes for rust prevention. I always have some left from oil changes on my bike, so I'm never forced to buy any other oil.
Sometimes I use it for light lubrication but I prefer using grease as lube.
>>30320703
Will ATF effect rubber o-rings?
I was originally just going to use ATF just for the bore because I heard it removes copper/carbon AND lead and just use non-chlorinated break cleaner like gun scrubber
Let me know if you guys have heard otherwise
>>30320768
I thought motor oil didnt prevent corrosion
I wanna buy a gun. What do you recommend?
>>30320422
A pre-2010 Glock in whatever caliber you like. Also, try for the threaded bore model, its only $50 more, and gives you options along with stepping up your velocity to the next size up.
If you're not willing to learn anything about guns or the differences or what you may like then you get a Glock 19. It does pretty much everything you'd want out of a gun.
>>30320422
Get a gun
Not a grenade
Is it possible to load stripper clips into the top of a mini-14 with an empty magazine in the rifle?
I figured since it has a garand type action this would be possible
>>30320393
Garands weren't loaded with stripper clips you plebe. If you meant packet clips then no, and if you can't see the any reasons why that wouldn't work you're retarded.
>>30320393
Does it have a BHO?
Otherwise all you'd need to do is mill out a slot for one.
>>30320393
No its not possible. The magazine engages the BHO with the back left corner of the mag which means if you start applying pressure to that area you run the risk of the BHO disengaging
What is the best firing range in the US? Ive looked here and may or may not be renting this. http://www.battlefieldvegas.com/products/counter-strike-extreme-package
>>30320317
That's gay as fuck.
Just rent a rifle and a pistol at a regular range and have more fun for less than a quarter of the price.
Coming from a vet, full auto is overrated
>>30320317
Depends what you are looking to do. Places like Battelfield let you blast expensive toys. Others like Badlands Tactical offers MOUT style straining. Then you have places like Thunder Ranch who is famous for precision long range and high angle shooting.
I'd consider all of those representative schools/ranges, not necessarily the best of their kind.
>>30320317
Look into Discount Firearms I think they have a shuttle they used to be cheaper than competition by a fair amount not sure if still true. There is also American Shooters too.
Assuming Las Vegas.
Hey /k/
I'm in DC for the day. Is this museum worth driving to?
>>30320219
Bump, I will be heading to D.C. next month
>>30320219
Probably just has a bunch of muskets on display since "assault weapons" are too scary. Remember, this is still DC
It's alright. Been a while since I went.
They have a nice range in the basement, if you bring your own stuff.
It's not very good!
>>30320180
DELET THIS
>>30320180
Well... It's basically a revolver cartridge carbine, so....
>>30320180
It can't penatrate winter coats

i have a hypothetical for you /k/. could you carry 2 colt navy revolvers? they have plenty of stoping power if you carry at least the .36. they also prouduce a fair amount of smoke so if you find yourself in a sticky situation could you escape by fanning the hammer? in a building it seems like it may work. discuss.
>>30320174
If you fan the hammer you'll get spent caps stuck in the action
Yeah, you COULD if you wanted to, but it'd be retarded unless it's literally your only option.
You COULD carry it, nothing stopping you if you're legally allowed to carry.
But /should/ you though?
if it's the only pistol you got, than maybe. if you're buying it as a dedicated carry piece instead of the other myriad of cheap options in cartridge handguns, i'd say you're a tad soft in the head.
That said, i do carry mine innawoods. but only because it makes a good companion for my flintlock.
thought this was funny as fuck
balken war thread i guess.
they are selling handmade surplus chest rigs on ebay i guess.
>>30320154
My family survived the war and my dad spent 8 months in a concentration camp, I'll stick around and answer any questions for a little while.
>>30320167
Was your family in the Prijedor massacre?
>>30320167
do you have anything from bosnia that he kept?
assuming you're bosniak
BulletSafe Alpha vest
Anyone have experience/insight?
Thinking about their level III plate
Alternative civilian options?
I already have a full gunsafe but I figure vests are next for restrictions, so why not?
If you're getting plates you might as well get level 4 ceramics. Otherwise concealability and breatheability is important stuff for soft armor.
>>30320141
Correction: IIIa with their ceramic add-on
>>30320153
Yes, thanks
>>30320141
Dunno about said vest itself, but I have few armor carriers of my own, including couple IBAs.
>Thinking about their level III plate
Good enough for intermediate rifle rounds and .308, so you got the basics covered. You could consider a III+ plate though, as it provides slightly better protection (rated for AP variant rounds of the mentioned calibers of Lv III, capable of stopping .30-06), and tends to weight mere half what Lv 4 plates do.
>Alternative civilian options?
surplus military vests + new / surplus plates.
Why did the atf go to the Branch Davidian compound in the first place? And why are people not outraged about it
>>30320120
They were selling too many guns at gun shows with out a FFL, for the ATF's liking.
>>30320120
Clinton Administration on the MSM did decent enough job to make it look like it was all the crazy cult's fault. That their leader was a pedophile.
the rest is because of how long ago it was.
>>30320120
Something about a mail man freaking out because a box full of M16 parts (not firearms) broke open during transit
