Judging my taste from my collection what should I get next?
Thinking a hand gun or something semi auto.

Well since you're an enormous faggot I suggest you get a 1911 to match your homosexual style.
AR15 before they get b&
Can someone explain to me what that thing is/used for?

Riding crop 4 sexy time
>>30301011
Riding crop for a little post mission fun.
380-500 bucks for a norinco 97, good idea? I'm not sure how much to pay for a shotgun.
you can easily get an original Winchester 1897 for around $200-$300 you just have to get a good auction off gunbroker (thats counting shipping or FFL cost)
>>30300942
I would get an original so you can get that sweet takedown feature.
>>30300942
Get a cool sword with every shotgun purchase
Anyone else have fun stuff in NFA jail?
When I sent in my form 4 I thought "eh, its just a wait until november or december.. it will be like an early x-mas present!"
Here I am 2 weeks later whimpering like a puppy.
>>30300931
Sent mine in around the same time. Using the waiting period to get some gear and a glorious fnx 45 so I can put another suppressor in jail.
>>30300931
Just push it from your mind that you even bought it. Before you know it *bam* shiny new toy.
>>30301170
Easier said than done!
Everytime I finger fuck my firearms I think:
>"Dis 1911 will be even better with the suppressor"
>"I wonder what poi shift I will have with this tikka using my suppressor?"
>"Good thing I can get 3-lug mounts for my M1A and my ARs, quick detach is gonna be so cool"
Christmas cant come soon enough. I have a kid on the way. So this was my last chance for a while to buy something like this, and after dropping 1500 I just cant wait.
Greetings /k/,
Is it possible to replicate this firearm IRL, and if so, how would this most easily be accomplished?
>>30300875
Yes, very easily. All you need is wood furniture for your AR. It's readily available, though rather expensive.
>>30300875
go away ATF
>>30300885
can you recommend any good sites for reasonably priced ARs/wood furniture?
>>30300886
neck yourself nigger, I want one of these whilst I still can
What's /k/'s take on caseless ammo?
is it the wave of the future or is it too impractical to really gain traction?
>>30300819
It's great for saving weight which is becoming more and more of an issue (thus the development focus on exoskeletons), but due to it not being "backwards compatible" and it not being Nato standard it is unlikely that any western nation will adopt it as its standard ammunition anytime soon.
I don't think anybody has complete nailed it yet. The ammo is usually fragile or cooks off more easily. LSAT project is working on it so hopefully we'll have something. But if a company releases more weight/space-efficienct powder propellant before caseless ammo kicks off you can bet that caseless will be delayed for a few more decades
>>30300819
We've had caseless ammo since what, the 16th century? They've been rendered obsolete once already, i dont see it coming back.
Lets get a WWII thread going
My Great Uncle(grandfathers brother) died today at a 100 years old he would have been 101 in a week and a half. He Fought in the pacific and his brother(my grandfather) fought in Europe. My grandfather died in the 60s long before i could meet him, so my uncle was the closest thing i had to a grandpa on that side of the family. I want to honor him to day.
>>30300811
your grandpa was a lucky mofo in comparison to his brother.
will hoist a drink to him/them later tonight, and fuck the nips.
>>30300851
My grandfather had his legs shot off by a machine gun and came home in wheel chair, he had a heart attack in his sleep and died. It was attributed to PTSD.
Alright /k/, I've been planning on building an AR out of an 80% lower for a long time, and now seems to be the best time to do it just in case the libs get their way.
So I ask - should I chamber it in .223 or .308? What are advantages and drawbacks of each? Beyond the obvious cost, recoil, etc. Either way, I'd build the rest of the rifle around the lower with consideration of caliber. Would be used mostly for hog hunting/producing liberal tears. Wouldn't shoot at the range too terribly much, so cost of ammo isn't of concern to me.
I'd reccomend .308 because its a more versatile round IMO.
You can buy sabots and seat a .223 bullet in a .308 case and get like 5000FPS for shits and giggles.
I've never heard of someone being happy with an 80% 308 build.
and I'm a crazy .308 fanboy.
5.56, because when the libs ban the AR-15, you can always build an AR-10
I'm a teacher in the US. If teachers were to carry guns, what do you think should be the standard carry?
I'm leaning towards some sort of snub nose. Maybe J Frame. Revolvers can sit forever and be ready to fire.

Would you kill a surrendering enemy?
probably not i guess
>>30300551
Probably.
I'd likely regret it later in PTSD induced nightmares.
But probably.
>>30300551
Eh. Probably not.
Looking through my M855 rounds I've noticed some of them have these dents in the brass casing.
With these still fire normally without problems or should I avoid using them and why?
Video kind of related but this is after they have been fired
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vMdO6aqtdNY
>>30300404
They will fire fine and be completely safe. Bonus! The dent will be gone after firing unless your rifle is overgassed and smashing them on your brass deflector.
>>30300494
Wow, I was not expecting that answer.
So at what point short of a 90 degree bend would a dent in a bullet casing make it unfit for use?
>>30300494
>>30300404
This is correct. I had the same exact problem on my ar and it was due to the brass hitting the deflector. I reload have a brass catcher though so I just repositioned the catcher to block brass from hitting the deflector. The damaged brass reloaded and shot fine as well.
You have five seconds to explain why you don't own this glorious firearm
>>30300394
It is another fine example of Bill Alexander killing the market for his own cartridges.
I have no desire to stop vehicles...
>>30300433
Yeah saw that they make all the ammunition maybe that's why it never took off
I just bought a Mini 14.
Before everyone hops on the inaccuracy bandwagon, I got it because I don't need a bullet button on it in commiefornia.... yet.
Alternatives to ar/ak thread?
>>30300382
Is your mini a brand new one? If so the accuracy will actually be pretty decent.
Invest in an accustrut as well
>>30300382
Are these going to be salty weapons next year? I kinda want to get one first if they are going to be.
>>30300382
I have been thinking of picking one up. How do you like it so far?

What do infantry junior officers do in combat? What *exactly* does it mean to lead your men in combat?
I know 1st/2nd lieutenants are responsible for the training and administration of their platoon, but that's as far as it goes.
>>30300331
For which nations military?
>>30300331
1st and 2nd lts are called platoon cmdrs. They command platoons.
companys made up of platoons are controlled by 1st(bout to get promoted) lts or captns sometimes majors if they're a boatload.
companies make up a battalion and are commande by majors or lt cols
battalions are put in regiments commanded by a bout to get promoted ltcol or cols.
>>30300331
Officers:
1. Are first in the stack.
2. Are responsible for filling specialty roles when someone on the team is incapacitated, e.g. scout sniper, EOD.
3. Lead fire-teams into combat.
4. Direct PT training and set an example.
5. Are the most experienced in CQB in the platoon.
6. Have over 300 confirmed kills.
