I told you fags this would happen and it's only the beginning. Republicans, the NRA, Donald Trump are all opportunists and will take your rights at the drop of a hat. This is precedent and only the beginning of the end.

You either need a permanent resident status or a hunting license. Read a book nigger, specifically books on firearms and immigration.

if you're here legally, you can get a hunting permit, which is enough to buy rifles and shotguns.

Hello friends,

I happened to have a couple questions for anyone that can answer about soft armour.

Are you able to wear a soft vest under a plate carrier?

Are the cuts of Kevlar different in soft vests than the ballistic sheets in a plate carrier; do they offer more protection?

Has anyone had any experience with LBT's slick carrier?

Thank you in advance.

I'll try and help.
>Are you able to wear a soft vest under a plate carrier?
You could, but it would be bulky. You'd be better off finding an armor carrier that can hold plates as well.

>Are the cuts of Kevlar different in soft vests than the ballistic sheets in a plate carrier; do they offer more protection?
Yes. There are several different cuts for soft armor. Most are proprietary, but there are a couple of military standards and there are soft backers, which are designed to back up an in conjunction with plate in a plate carrier.
As you can imagine the different cuts offere different levels of coverage. Some cover almost the entire torso. Others are really just the chest/back with little "wings" to cover the your sides.

Has anyone had any experience with LBT's slick carrier?
Can't help you here.

tl;dr: decide how much soft armor coverage you want and get a carrier with an integrated plate pocket.

Yes you can throw a plate carrier over soft armour. Doing that will increase threat protection. Cops do it all the time. They wear soft armor (usually level 2 or 3a) and have a plate carrier to throw on when the threat requires more protection.

How much demand do you suppose there is for a real working replica China Lake pump-action 40mm grenade launcher? Or is the tax stamp a dealbreaker?

I'd buy one. Hell, I was looking for a 40mm DD for a while but they're either shit tier or cost thousands and thousands.

I'm an autist though, they wouldn't sell much.

>We, along with our licensed importer (years of expierence doing import work) have located 12 (9 sold so far) German Leopard 1 main battle tanks. Currently located at a secure facility in Europe. They are all in excellent complete running condition. 105 mm main guns are in tact (proper demil would take place prior to import). Interior is good. These need nothing.

>We can have these shipped to the port of your choice in the US. Shipping will range from 8-12k depending on location of the port. Proper demil of the main gun is included in the shipping cost. Tank weighs approximately 40 tons.

If you want a Leopard 1, sure. Not sure why you'd want one though. An IFV or APC would be more fun for general fuckery and when SHTF, a Leo1 isn't going to be worth much against anything.

(1) REQUIRED TRANSFER.—Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and subject to paragraphs (3) and (4), the Secretary of the Army shall transfer to Rock Island Arsenal all excess firearms, related spare parts and components, small arms ammunition, and ammunition components currently stored at Defense Distribution Depot, Anniston, Alabama, that are no longer actively issued for military service.

(2) REPURPOSING AND REUSE.—The items specified for transfer under paragraph (1) shall be melted and repurposed for military use as determined by the Secretary of the Army, including—

(A) the re-forging of new firearms or their components; and

(B) force protection barriers and security bollards.

(3) TRANSFER FOR HISTORICAL PURPOSES.—Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), the Secretary may transfer up to 2,000 surplus caliber .45 M1911/M1911A1 pistols and 2,000 M–14 Rifles to a military museum for display and preservation.

(4) ITEMS EXEMPT FROM TRANSFER.—M–1 Garand and caliber .22 rimfire rifles are not subject to the transfer requirement under paragraph (1).

Bump, keep this alive and spread the word. These pistols have been kept stored away for decades waiting to be released to future custodians of history. We can not sit and watch them destroy objects with such a connection to our nation's history

Not anymore if you don't contact your reps ASAP. Congress can fuck around for months arguing over trivial changes to legislation, but somehow pass a bill condeming pieces of American History to the melting pot in 2 days. Note that this includes M14's and M1 Carbines as well that are left in storage at army depot facilties

alright /k/ i have a question for you

when the NFA mentions an SBR it means a rifle fired from the shoulder with a barrel shorter than 16 inches AND a length shorter than 26 inches?

If i only meet one of these criteria (for example, an M92 PAP with a folding stock and a 10 inch barrel; being 26 inches or more fully extended but still being fired from the shoulder), is the weapon stilled considered an NFA?
23 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>30294754
I'm no expert, but I think it needs to meet both to be considered NFA. That's how they can get away with ak/ar pistols I believe.
>>
>>30294777
that's what i thought. I just purchased an M92, with a total length of about 20 inches out of the box. Im going to assume that putting a folding stock and a krink muzzle break on the gun would end up making the overall length at least 26 inches if not more, but i wanted to make sure it would still not be considered an NFA weapon, due to it only having a 10 inch barrel.

it depends on what the gun started as
if its pistol and you add a stock then its a sbr
if its a rifle and you cut the barrel its a sbr
if its a nothing which happens to be over 26 over all but not have a stock and a under 16 inch barrel congrats with your "firearm"

I reeeally want a Sig 550, /k/. Bad. Is the 550A1 a good knockoff, or should I stay away?
33 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>30294620
IIRC the US made 550A1 had some issues and wasn't really worth it. I think MAC did a video on it a couple years back. I for one can however speak for the Sig 556 classic, and it is good to go, though I understand what you want is some true Swiss awesomeness.
>>
>>30294638
Sounds like a good platform, but why is it so hard to find one in the original configuration? I want dat sexy 90's aesthetic.
>>
>>30294666
Probably just due to import restrictions so legit Swiss 550's are pricey and hard to find.

GI mags are going to get all fucked up in the middle, if you have them in your duffle/ruck plastic ones won't. Still have Gen 1 Pmags I got back in '07, have not maintained them for shit, but they still feed good.

What do SWAT officers do day to day, when they aren't being deployed for raids and shit? Do they train all shift? Or do they just sit around waiting in case something happens?
12 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>30294590
Depends on the department. Major departments have full time SWAT teams that will either be training or serving high risk warrants on their work days. Most departments have part time SWAT teams that will train a few days a month together, serve high risk warrants or respond to high risk situations when they come up, and perform normal law enforcement functions based on whatever their day job is when they aren't doing SWAT stuff.
