What is this kind of gun safe locking mechanism known as in English?
It's really common in Northern Europe but I have not seen it in any burger safes.
bump
I know American safes usually use locking bolts which leave the safe vulnerable to pry attacks if the bolts are just held in place by sheet metal.
>>31629361
>burger safes are vulnerable to pry attacks
>OP's safe has what looks like two tiny screws securing the jamb plate that the latches engage into
>>31629467
You're forgetting. Any sturdy piece of metal dull or sharp is illegal over there. They'd have to go to the local authority to rent the communal crowbar.
Alright bastards lemme know what in your opinion/experience the best improved weapon of choice is.

My other gun is also a gun.

Last week some anon posted made a thread dedicated to a wicked sale on Type 56 Chicom chest rigs. The Communists selling these things were obviously blown away by the sharp spike in sales from /k/. They sent me an inquiry asking why their product sold so well and where I heard of it in broken English.
>Dear friend,
>Sorry to bother you.
>We have a curious thing which needs your help.
>Our product--Loklode Chinese Military Surplus AK47 Chest Pouch Rig Ammo Mag Bandolier Type 56 just sales on amazon for a short time. We usually sell about three products for one day, but last night we sold about 100 pcs. I am very curious about this amazing thing.Could you please tell us how did you find our product?
>Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
>Look forward to your reply.
I kind of want to reply. How should I troll these chinks?
>>31628699
How about instead of trolling you're honest so we can get some more cheap surplus, dipshit.
>>31628699
Tell them that you are from paramilitary organization that is planning to disrupt the upcoming election in the US.
"My imam turned me onto it"
"we'll be needing a lot of them soon"
I just found out I'm getting a new job and a raise. Thus, I want to celebrate by purchasing my everyday carry pistol, which also happens to be my first personally-owned firearm.
I've rented out a dozen guns, and spent a few range days with my favorites. It's down to the S&W M&P 9mm full size and the HK VP9. Leaning VP9 as of now, but give me your thoughts fellow /k/ommandos.
M&P9
>Less expensive
>More after-market parts
>Proven reliability
...but,
>Crappy trigger
>Flaky autoloading on magazine insert (I used to think it was a design feature because it happened so often)
>Not really built for ambi operation
VP9
>Amazing ergonomics with more better grip choices
>Smooth as butter trigger and slide release
>Fully ambidextrous
>hook on sights for one-handed racking
...but,
>More expensive (currently on sale locally for $580, however)
>15-round mags
>expensive mags
>Few aftermarket parts
>>31628604
None of the cons on the VP9 prevent you from enjoying it at the range. Two mags is sufficient for carry and 15 was the standard for Beretta and Sig for a very long time. It'll do.
That crappy trigger on the M&P and the inertial slide drop will bother you and it'll cost money to fix.
>>31628674
Seconding this. Also if you don't often buy guns you might as well buy a gun that you like if it's going to be your only one. And hey you got a raise so why not, right?
OP here, yeah I guess the vp9 cons aren't that big a deal. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that they don't make yellow plastic training barrels for the vp9.
What are some guns that are or were in actual production and are legal to own that nobody on /k/ owns? As in nobody's posted OC pics of theirs?

How the fuck do you AR fags justify paying outrageous and blatant ripoff prices for namebrand pieces of plastic?

stop buying cheap trash
Are you angry that you bought cheap shit and it didn't work? At least the "cheap magpul plastic shit" would've worked just fine. Don't drop your rifle directly onto your sights and you'll have zero issues with them.
Talk to me about the legality of taking rifles out camping/hiking. Specifically mid-east US.
>In VA, have a group of other /k/ guys.
>we all want to go out backpacking/camping innawods with some of our guns.

This originally started out as a spoop hunt kind of thing and is now more of a fuckit lets just get innawoods.

I see this gun I wanted..(sam7sf)it's a side folder tho..the law for my state (le Mississippi fudland) say u can buy a long gun at 18..can I buy this legaly since the stock folds and can be fired from the folded position? /k/fags out there get ogre here and help
>>31628055
Yes, folding doesn't affect anything on a rifle legally. The gun's total length is measured with extended stock, so this gun is vanilla legally.
>>31628083
This, you're good OP.
>>31628055
Yeah, it's fine. Pretty much the only weird junk you can't get from an FFL are receivers and PGO shotguns, folding rifles are fine.
So, I live in Ohio, and it is legal to open carry rifles here.
Is it safe to open carry anymore? Will I get the police called on me? Is there even a reason to do it?
>>31627980
The reason to do it is for attention or a political statement.
I open carry my ccw every 2nd of the month her in Texas and no one gives a fuck.
>>31627995
This
Just please don't be or dress like an autist
>>31627980
Unless you're an attention seeker there are a few reasons. Going to a place with intent to actually shoot a bit is one. Or transporting it to sell or bring to a shop or what have you.
Have you ever gotten angry with a gun before?
>>31627492
I haven't but I have gotten angry with ither things before
My sister once pulled the plug from my PS1 while I was fighting Ruby Weapon.
I launched at her neck and squeezed her neck hard as I was shaking her uncontrollably
.
My dad arrived and broke a chair on my head and got me ended up in the hospital for a few days due to concussion.

Does .357 Mag out of a proper 3-6" barreled revolver fall into the "all service calibres perform the same" trap, or is it measurably more effective than 9x19mm, .40 S&W, and .45 Auto?
I used to carry a 4" Ruger Security Six and didn't feel under-armed with six rounds of .357 Mag, but I now carry an HK P2000 with 16 rounds of 9x19mm. I'm considering picking up a 686+ (pictured) as another option, and while I know it's objectively not as practical as an overall carry gun, it would be nice if I at least got increased effectiveness as a tradeoff for everything else.
Please respond.
>>31627464
>9x19mm, .40 S&W, and .45 Auto
.357Mag is better than those, yes.
But you'll never shoot it as fast or accurately (in volume) unless you have crazy training & skills like Jerry Miculek. So it's a doctrine question more so than a purely scientific one.
>>31627464
>>31627836
The problem is there isn't really a way to do a properly controlled study on such things, but IIRC all the studies I've seen show an advantage over the service calibers.
IMO it doesn't make up for drawbacks, but .357 appears to be more likely to incapacitate a target in fewer shots from what I've read.
>A country is only as good as its military, anon 10/10/2016
Am I wrong?
>>31627022
a country is only as good as it's economy, the military is there to protect that and is in turn an investment by that economy
>>31627022
yes, totally wrong
>>31627054
A poorer country with a stronger military can just appropriate another country's economy through force though, so military power is the only real power that matters

Canadaland.
I was at one of my LGS when I noticed they got a K31 and SVT40 in stock.
Some guy was looking at the K31 and was on the fence of whether he should buy it or not and decided to think about it. I took a look at both of them and decided I'd buy them both for a total of $700 and as I was filling out the paperwork with the employee the guy came back saying "Alright, I like that K31 a lot I'm going to buy it".
I genuinely felt bad for the guy but he made his decision far too late.
