I'm a Mosin fanboy to the death, but dammit, the Winchester 1895 is such a brilliant rifle. I'm still a bit baffled that it was basically a dead end. A box-fed levergun like that offers so many advantages over a bolt action rifle regarding ergonomics, mud resistance, etc.

Today in history, someone on this mongolian rock polishing forum said something that actually made sense.

I built an AR10 for under $800 and I'm quite pleased with it. I used a blemished PSA upper and blemished PSA lower, ballistic advantage barrel (on sale as BOTW), aero precision bolt (NiB meme on sale) and SLR rifleworks handguard (on sale). It shoots well and recoil isn't actually a big deal.

No I wouldn't use it for HD but it's a nice rifle to own and one of my favorites.

If I recall correctly, alot of Kalashnikovs are just licensed copies from what the Soviets have with minor differences (Except the Czechs that made a whole different weapons and the Serbs who just reversed engineer it with their three holed handguards that cannot fit others unless its a three hole as well). Those handguards should fit on the Type 56.
