I'm a freshman in college and my area is VERY SHITTY.
My state allows under 21s to carry a gun in the glovebox of their car, one condition away from fireing.
What would a good car carry gun be that wouldn't break the bank, but is also quality?
Also, are new Sub2ks shit?

It's cheap if he can find it.
Is there any point in this?
Would you, a respectable member of society, put a 30mm gun on top of your SUV?

>Would you, a respectable member of society, put a 30mm gun on top of your SUV?
Yes.
>>31643637
Fuck no, I don't want to be targeted by AT weapons.
>lets combine all the negative qualities of the AK (bad caliber, fouling ammo) with the negatives of the AR (DI)
>>31643569
>no fun allowed
>>31643569

>Bad
Pick one. And your argument cannot contain the phrase "shits where it eats" because it's factually incorrect

Are low recoil JHP rounds for self defense a meme? I mean they're obviously going to perform worse than an equivalent +P round, right, so why buy them? 9mm is low recoil enough as it is.
>>31643528
You have a morons understanding of firearms.
That is all.
>>31643528
HST = good
Hydra-shok = bad
Also if you need low recoil 9mm.... I mean dude c'mon. You suck.
>>31643562
How so?
I've been reading this and it has gotten me thinking. Assume you are stuck in a place with extreme anti gun laws, someplace like glorious Nippon where guns are incredibly hard to get. What is the ideal way to defend yourself from zombies, or (more realistically) other people without a firearm?
>I know I'm a weeb
>I know zombies media is for autistic people
Take your dildo, and put a razor on it. Swing it around screaming ma rites, ma rites.

Do what I tell Eurocucks and those who live in LA/NYC/Chicago and who can't get pepper spray or knives:
Take a bandana and wrap it around the holding bar of a lock. It can be hid in your pocket, looks in conspicuous, and can be quickly drawn to be used as a club.
Hey /k/ommandos
Just got my first Mosin, I need some help. The bayonet is stuck (backwards) on the barrel. I can't get it off for the life of me. Trying to clean the cosmoline off and it's really not helping that the bayonet is on there. Any tips to get it off?
>inb4 pull it off
I tried, it's not fucking budging.
Also, Mosin general.
>>31643326
Buy a new mosin.
>>31643326
Are there any signs of welding?
If not then just pull it off, you pussy.
Seriously, use a little muscle. It isn't to break.
>>31643326
Boil some water and place the end of the bayonet in it. I steel should expand just enough to come off with a mallet tap. Also try some penatranting oil or any anti seizing lubricant
Hi /k/, I have a Henry .22 classic. But the question here is about ammo. I've seen pic related at Dick's here in California. Are the rounds decent or shit?
>>31643318
Just get an AR.
>>31643365
No range within 70 miles allows them, and poorfag here.
>>31643318
>Henry .22 classic
They'll likely mostly all go off and feed well. Since you have a lever action you're fine. I'd be a bit more wary of using them in a semi-auto since I've had some trouble with those cycling a few times.
What are /k/'s thoughts on pic related? LGS has one for 1300 dollarydoos. Is that a good price? Any of you /k/ommandoes own one?
If I had the money, I'd buy it regardless of whether or not it's a good product. I find them to be one of the sexiest rifles made.
everyone loves the autonugget.
>>31643160
When you say dollarydoos I assume you're in Oz so I have no idea what shit costs in digeridollars, but >>31643224
I've been reading a lot about home defense, and I'm surprised I haven't seen much on preparing the home battlefield for defense. Nothing on deadfall traps, one article on punji stick pits (which seems to be a vietnam thing), nothing on wiring doors to blow on opening or hooking up mains power to doorknobs or handrails. Nothing on mines, or using semtex in window liners to detonate when the window's smashed open.
Why aren't defensive traps and positioning something more extensively covered in home defense?
In for the underageb&
>be fat fuck anon
>paranoid as fuck
>deadfalls everywhere
>wire grenade traps to doors and windows
>shotgun traps for interior doors
>eating muh tendies
>oh shit 3rd heart attack
>call fire dept and passout
>fire dept tried to come in front door
>*click*
>charged with premeditated murder of 3
>life in prison as human fleshlight
because most people are scared cats like isis and have to plant bombs and traps instead of fighting it out either with a weapon or not

I'm really digging these old school Cold Steel knives!
>>31643082
Not current carry knife, but it will be when it gets here.
>>31643113
Nice lockback! It's good to see more USA made knife companies!
I usually carry this (not my pic). When I want something a little smaller, I have a Kershaw Leek in that nice "Brownwash DLC" color. If I'm just going out to the grocery store for less than an hour or if I'm wearing women's pants (which I do more often than not in urban areas), I carry a Kershaw Launch 4. That is, if the jurisdiction I'm in allows me to carry automatics. Otherwise, I just let one of the bigger folders ride in my bag.

What was it about General Custard that made him so widely respected and feared?
>>31643050
He invented the custard of course.
>>31643066
And Custard's revenge is when he mixed up an intentionally bad batch to give the indians all food poisoning.
>>31643050
His pie took the dignity of many a man, and the soul of many a clown.
Hey /k/, utter newfag to the gun owner thing, but am looking into getting a bolt gun to start. I've shot some small caliber rifles and handguns, and would like something heftier than a .22 but don't really know the best thing to go for. Cheap is ideal, as more than anything I'd just like to own something to get used to regular cleaning/maintenance and firing on. Help a newfag out? Are Mosins a total meme, or worth looking into?
>>31642999
Stevens 200.
>>31642999
>>31643014
To add, don't buy milsurp if you aren't a collector. You won't get what you want out of it.
mosin prices have risen a lot over the last year. coupled with the increase in surplus 54r, its not something i'd recommend.
for a generic bolt gun, id get something like a savage or ruger american. roughly $300 and available in a lot of calibers.
if you absolutely have to have something with milsurp flavor, a yugo mauser is a good buy. but 8mm isnt cheap (but not expensive either, i guess)
Is there any point in having your vertical stabilizers as wholly movable? I believe it is just a maintenance nightmare.
Why can't Russia into planes? They should just buy Chinese.
>>31642905
smaller surface area while bigger area of effect due to all moving instead of small flaps.
>>31642905
>S-duct shitstorm incoming in 5, 4, 3, 2...

But the Chinese make worse planes.
And they still continue to use Russian and Ukrainian engineers on most of their new planes too.
