What is that rail? Image search just gives me air soft shit and I want that to not be airsoft garbage
>>31619826
I think it was an RRA concept for a piston system... It was only in production for a short period and there are a few in the wild.
It's nice, though

/k/ I want to do a super compact 10/22 take down and I'm not sure which way to go about it.
I know I want a folding stock for it, and I want it suppressed. I already have my trust set up with four Form 1 stamps on it. Probably going to go with silencer shop (unless you convince me otherwise) to deal with the can purchase.
Basically, wat do?
Pic Related, options to follow.
The four ways I've thought to do it, based upon current prices (some roughly) from around the web.
>>31619122
if you can hold one of the agp stocks before going all in on it. i had one and hated it. the main issue was it was small as fuck. i mean you want that cause the point is being compact but it really felt like it was sized for a child. other minor complaints were the thickness of the pistolgrip, the hinge doesnt lock when its folded, and the screw hole for the stock was just plastic. which meant you could over tighten it and damage the stock.

Get an integrally suppressed 10/22 TD barrel end. Will be shorter and better balanced.
Or go all out and SBR your 10/22. Not like there's much of a benefit to using a 16in barrel with .22.
>tfw my friend doesn't want hearing protection as i get ready to shoot my 7.62 AK
Did you teach him a lesson?
>>31619541
his hearing was already fucked, he just stood by while I shot
Kind of a spinoff of the F-22 shootdown thread, but focusing specifically on the S-300. I'll repost some of the relevant graphics from this lengthy article:

So /k/, what do you think of airsoft?
Fun wargame, or stupid substitute for real guns?
>>31618744
>Thoughts on airsoft
Not /k/ related
But fun

but full of faggots who take it too seriously and have electric ar15 toys that cost as much as a real one
I think it belongs on /asp/

>grandmother passed away about two years ago

>Springfield Trapdoor Rifle, M1903 (Springfield mfg, 1,000,000 serial number range), Smith and Wesson Victory .38, Iver Johnson PPK clone in .22lr, all matching Colt 1911a1, Sears .22 model 60 clone, sears 12 gauge, Fairbairn-Sykes dagger, 4 genuine WWII era Ka-Bars, a couple hundred rounds of m2 ball, a MOTHERFUCKING 1840 HEAVY CAVALRY SABRE, several thousands of dollars of confederate and union dollars and WWII era war bonds
Holy shit /k/, I'm shaking. I'm literally more happy than when I lost my virginity.

Fuck your memes /k/
I finally bought a Mosin, my first rifle, and I can't find a single store within an hour that sells bullets for this antique piece of shit. I should have never listened to your bullshit and went to a real gun forum for people who actually own guns
Really weak bait.
If you're actually serious, then lol.
Fucking Walmart has x54r.
They're called cartridges. Not bullets.
>>31618518
Not bait at all. I've called several this morning alone and none have it in stock.
ITT: funs rate thread, also: what can I do to clean this .30-06 I bought today, and where's some cheap ammo?
>>31618480
>what can I do to clean this .30-06 I bought today
strip it, use a non abrasive cloth to clean off any reside, then put a drop of oil on any moving parts, run a patch with hoppes or something on it down the bore, repeat with dry patches until they come out clean, then run a patch with oil down the bore, put a few drops of oil on a clean cloth and apply it to the exterior metal of the rifle.

Have you tried Bersa Thunder 9 Pro /k/?
Tell me about it.

9x19mm.
Very confident weapon, made in argentina.
Used by Arg forces. I carry one, for i'm a correctional officer.
Magazine Capacity: 17 + 1 in chamber.
Double/simple action gun.
Ambidextrous.
Has a witness light that advice us from bullet in chamber.
>>31618298
Is that supposed to be a p88 knockoff?
How viable as a weapon are sharpened nails in combat when both combatants are bare-handed?
>>31618250
Nails would be decent stabbing weapons, but would keep you from being able to make a proper fist.
Also they're too flimsy to make gouges without breaking or bending
In a word. No
>>31618250
Have fun with your broken fingernails and pissing off your attackers with trivial lacerations.
You should look into sharpening banjo picks - image related.
>>31618250
Better than if both combatants had gloves on.
Would C-RAM/Phalanx mounted on top of a M113 or M1 chassis be a suitable AA gun or would PIVADS be a better solution.
Couldn't use one.
C-RAM's need a massive external generator.
>>31618159
Mounting a 20mm gun onto a M1 abrams chassis is like mounting a .22 to the deck of the Titanic.
>>31618279
See
>>31618210
C-RAM needs a ton of shit and an M1 body could probably fit it all while keeping up with other armored vehicles in the US's inventory.
European here with a weird question. Do shooting ranges allow you to use a custom picture as a target? Like a picture of President Obama or a random celebrity?
>>31618136
Generally yes, unless it's controversial. If they're a good businessman they don't want other customers getting offended by someone else's targets.
The answer is "Maybe"
Some ranges allow it, some do not.
What's the best manlet gun?
>>31618045
Walther PPK

That microflip is in for a world of pain when he shoots that derringer.

No rails. No optics. No problems.
These are my optics.
Sir
>>31617987
MP5 iron sights are technically optics.
Why is it that whenever a member of Delta or DEVGRU are listed, they're always senior enlisted? Obviously I wouldn't expect an E-4 or even E-5 to be partaking in some of those missions, but are those teams really composed of guys who are at minimum E-7+? That just seems odd to me, but then again I always hear how different they are compared to the rest of the military.
Can anyone here shed some light on why that is and how they function as a military unit, if they even function as one?
Enlisted ranks are throw away ranks
High value jobs get senior enlisted ranks thrown their way at an early age as further incentive to stick around. This is why you see 33 year old E-8s and above.
you have to be a e-6 minimum to be on an ODA
>>31618069
I've seen SGTs assigned to ODAs.
