147gr at 915fps
Or
90gr at 1290fps?
> not loading your own defensive ammo
The 90s shoot amazingly smooth and are poa poi at 25 yards where as with the 147s end up about 5" high. I wonder how much more velocity I can get out of the 90s...
>>31633265
147s.
They're a little quieter (still loud obviously but anything helps), less flash, and great terminal ballistics. They're also usually less snappy and easier to shoot quickly and accurately.
>>31633265
I vote 147gr.
The recoil characteristics of 147gr is a little less snappy which is nice for follow up shots. Plus there is plenty of evidence showing that the terminal ballistics of 147gr 9mm is pretty solid. Also, I reload ammo that mimics my carry ammo so I can train with it, but actually carry HST.
Id go for the 90s because of poa poi at 25y and the penetration. Poa poi is huge when under stress.
Yay or nay /k/?

Nay, the yankee dogs lived.

I liked it, had Salient arms and Article 15 stuff in it. Fuck Salient tho
Since my State is about to become full commie I'm hopping into the NFA game. Which 9mm SBR would you choose? CZ Scorpion or a Colt SMG? Anyone out there who owns an SBR CZ or CZ rifle?
>>31632852
I prefer the CZ for /aesthetic/s
The Colt probably works better from what I've heard though
Got my tax stamp in for my CZ recently, I'm having fun with it. Biggest downside ive heard for 9mm AR's is that you get a lot of gas in the face when suppressed, otherwise it's all about preference, but any AR is gonna have more aftermarket support. I will say that the stock trigger on the scorpion is too heavy (10 lb), but $50 trigger kit brings it down to 4 lb.
>>31633046
The Scorpion is pretty reliable. Also it's direct blowback so much better for suppressors
Mine's in FDE
So /k/ I just bought my first gun, a Smith and Wesson m&p shield.
How did I do?
>>31632741
...fine
>>31632741
UNACCEPTABLE
>>31632741
How much did you pay?
The gun itself is fine but certainly nothing special.
I want to buy a revolver, but obviously I need a Class H License. I live in WA and they say that "a person does not have a genuine need to acquire or possess a firearm of category H because it is required for:
> hunting,
> recreational shooting; or
> destroying stock or vermin
What other reason is there that I could provide?
Also general aus gun thread
none.
>get over it
>buy a rifle or stay a no funs for ever
you will never even be allowed to apply for cat H until after you have had A or B for several incident free years first.
Get a cat A&B first
the only reason you can get is recreational or hunting. Hunting u need signed permission from someone who has land big enough saying that you can hunt there. (But u live in WA probably not hard to find)
For recreational shooting you need i think 3-4 annual shoots? (in QLD at least not sure about WA)
>>31632667
You can get a Cat H easy enough. join a pistol club. Reminder that W.A also allows Cat C Shotguns for sports shooting.
do you have any grandparents that died during WWII?
my grandfather died in 1943 when he fell out of a guard tower in Auschwitz
>>31632594
Terrible execution. Learn the joke then post. Or just kys
>>31632594
that was the poorest execution of a joke ive ever seen. and I was even looking forward to a passed down war story thread
Some asshole fell onto my grandfather ar Auschwitz
Alright so I want to get my first full size 9mm handgun.
I've decided on a CZ75/85.
The question is what model should I get?
75B
Glock 17
>>31632521
1. Compact or full size?
2. Decocker or safety?
that simple. either way good choice. pcr man myself. cant shoot any handgun i own as well as that one.
So if you guys HAD to cc a revolver at all times day and night. What would you choose and in what caliber? I would prefer to keep this somewhat serious.
*Bonus points
You can't use a holster
>>31632451
If i can't use a holster it wont be serious. If i had to have one revolver it would be a k frame in 357
a Fitzed Colt Detective Special that could take .38spl+P.
Cut trigger guard, bobbed hammer, small grips.
>>31632621
Why cut trigger guard
I picked up a plastic Canteen, and it smells like ass. Can I just dump this into the dishwasher?
>>31632324
I just got some myself and I just cleaned them out with dish soap and water.
>>31632324
Never buy a used canteen. That shit is gross. Probably used as a dip bucket at some point.
bleach and warm water. swish it around let it set for a bit. than dump and rinse.
Hello fellow Imperial citizens. I just picked up a full DC-17 kit from some old clone looking guy. Had a helmet on display like pic related, but when I asked he just changed the subject. How'd I do?
>>31632271
It's shit
>>31632271
Those things are illegal in 20 systems anon, I hope you have a good hiding place for it.
>>31632271
>DC-17 kit
Lmao I love living in a non cuck Imperial Star System
Besides AK's and AR's what other kind of assault rifles are there?
>>31632185
The next most famous is probably the FN FAL in 5.45mm. It was used extensively by Rhodesians in the early 90s as well as some SEAL members during the battle of Mogadishu.

Hear/Read me out, green text for time
>Be me, active duty Marine
>stationed in Cali (for the 9th year in a row... believe it)
> First 29 Palms, then Pendleton, then San Diego. Presently here in San Diego
>Bought Glock 19... cool
>Glock 19 is a great fit for me
>Thought of next purchase to eventually make my concealed carry (Once I finally leave the state and am able to get a concealed carry permit/license)
>decided Glock 26 Gen 3 (pic related) due to state's mag restrictions and all other guns I want/considered are not for sale in Cali
>Glock 26's been around for a couple decades, great aftermarket support, familiarity, and Glock (take it for what it's worth)
>Thinking long term here, in case I end up leaving (which I will eventually) but Uncle Sam may have me come back before I retire.
Opinions on Glock 26 for Concealed carry?
Cali anons, any other suggestions?
>>31632125
>Opinions on Glock 26 for Concealed carry?
Pretty decent choice, little chunky, personally would just go G19 for easier shooting\ more capacity or get something slimmer for easier concealment. I think Cali has banned most of the more recent single stack 9s though?
>>31632211
He could get a S&W shield at least. Most of the other single stack 9s are banned unless you want to get a kahr
Glock 26 is fine. I got one of those when I had the misfortune of living in California.
>>31632211
Concealable single stack options for me are the M&P shield ( I really don't like the trigger), LCP380 CA edition, which is 500 bucks, and I'm gonna pay 500 bucks, I may as well get a Glock.
I love my 19, but as far as capacity, I'm limited to 10 rounds. That's why I'm thinking about the 26 because by default its' mags hold 10.
What do you guys think I can improve about it. Also stance general
Let me see that mask faggot

>>31632131
why is /k/ so judgy.
I'm in a conundrum /k/
I can't decide between a ruger American in .30-06 or a colt le6920
With the ruger I can shoot accurately to 300 yards with a powerful cartridge and I have a thing for bolt guns.
The colt would be specifically because the political climate after hillary gets elected. And to say that I finally own an AR.
Get a stripped lower and a few pmags to election proof yourself. Then go for he bolt gun. You can get a PSA Freedom Rifle kit to finish the AR later.
>>31631781
What state are you in? I've got a new ruger 30/06 that ive been thinking of selling. It's fairly accurate, but the stock is horrible.
>>31631781
depends on what guns you have now.
