Thinking about getting a Styer M9-A1 for open carry self defense. Can get it for $477 before shipping.
Any thoughts or experience with this firearm? It's designed by an ex Glock designer except it isn't shitty like big Glocks.
Can also get a .40sw version for the same price, but the capacity is 12+1 instead of 15+1 and the general personal distaste I have for .40sw

9mm seems to be cheaper for general use rounds plus the increased capacity is an obvious plus for self defense I think.
The grip angle doesn't bother me as much. I'm a quick adjuster with most guns I handle.

Sig 320 is JUNK. The FBI wrote their requirements to try and exclude Glock and guarantee a 320 win, only for Glock to whip together a variant that met the requirements, allowing it BTFO the 320 in trials. I've owned one, traded it in on another gun because the beaver tail poked me in the fat roll and at the end of the day it's just another striker fired polymer gun.
I've also owned Glocks, no longer have any of them either.
Here's what I can tell you:
With regards to actually shooting the gun, 320 is better than a Glock in every single way.
With regards to carrying the gun, the Glock is slightly more comfortable due to no beaver tail and flat sides.
How this is relevant to the OP:
OP is a faggot that thinks the single issue of bore axis outweighs all the other things when it clearly doesn't.

The values and traits associated with being a Marine have been instilled in me since I was young. My father was a Marine, and he swears it was the best decision he ever made. I have been a natural leader my entire life, and I feel there is no better place to develop and exercise my leadership skills than the Marine Corps. I have always felt a strong draw to the Corps because of the emphasis on integrity and moral fiber. Because of this I feel comfortable saying I do not have a military interest, I have a Marine interest.

I'm going to be driving a long distance tomorrow to meet with a guy to buy his Lee Enfield Mk. III for $300. He says it's in good condition as is the bore. I don't know shit about Lee Enfields, what do I check when I meet him tomorrow? He is also selling military surplus 303 rounds (450 for $150) are they corrosive? Please help so I don't get ripped off and I will post pics if I get it. Thanks!

What ammo is it? British? At that price you arent getting much of a deal. CTD had 480 rounds of Greek HXP for 90 bucks for a while but then again that was about a year ago. Also a good way to tell if an Enfield has good rifling still is when you stick a round in the muzzle. If you cant really see the bullet its doesnt have very good rifling. Got any pics of it?

I recently bought a brand new Walther PPS M2 (9mm), and after firing the first 100 rounds through, it worked like I expected it to. Solid, good shooter.
But upon tearing it down for it's first cleaning, I noticed quite a few brass shavings all in the slide. Very small, and didn't impede the operation of the gun, but still, it has me a bit concerned.
I've never experienced this with my M&P 9C, USP, or the Walther PK380. Is this normal during a "break in" period, or should I have it looked at?

I'm applying to law schools here soon, and I've considered applying for the JAG program to pay off school if I can't get any decent scholarships. Also I think it'd be fulfilling to be in the military.
