Ahoy, /k/. Now that America is going to be great again, I'm in the market for a new carry gun. Currently I carry a Ruger SP101 3" .357 Magnum. I love that gun, but being a revolver it's a little awkward for IWB carry. I'm looking for a small carry gun with more punch than a 9mm, and I'm kind of leaning towards the Ruger SR40C. I like Ruger's stuff; in addition to the SP101, I also have 2 10/22s, and a Mark III Target. I feel Ruger makes quality, reliable weapons.
Caliber wars aside, are there any significant downsides to the SR40C?

I'm thinking about building my own gun, just something simple, like a 12 gauge. Since I already own a hunting rifle (6.5 x55mm) and a 12 gauge shotgun I don't have the need for another one, but I thought It'd be fun and challenging. Alright, I'm getting a folding blade knife for Christmas and I'm supposed to pick one (Prime eligible on amazon if at all possible). I've worked with a few in the past but never owned more than a multitool.
I'm looking for solid body probably because in my experience the grips feel nicer, also a more classic shaped blade than the weird tactical triangle shit I've been seeing lately.
Not really concerned with bells and whistles, though I am thinking partial serration could be nice. Pic related is pretty close to the knife I'm most used to. I liked it because the body had just a bit more weight than the blade and it felt nice in hand.
Anyway, any suggestions or things to look for?

If you want a fantastic price but quality up the ass..go with an Ontario RAT 1 or 2 (1 is bigger, 2 is smaller blade) great steel that holds a sharp edge, hella fast and smooth draw (mine opens faster then an auto knife or assited knife) the only downside that i have is the handle isn't made of g-10..however you can buy blank panels and cut out your own and do some crazy designs/grip patterns..and best thing is its on amazon and prime elegible ....or you can go with the cheapest of the spyderco line (tenacious g-10)
