So I was working on these three weapons:
-Mauser 1914 pistol
-Arisaka Type 38 rifle
-Unidentified Harrington & Richardson single barrel shotgun
The problem (pic related) is what I found when I thought I was finished working. Where the hell could this spring be from?
I found exploded views of the Mauser and Arisaka and I took them completely apart. I checked all the spring locations from the exploded views:
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/ww332/357SandW/mauser11.jpg
and
http://66.media.tumblr.com/413749e7d2ed958730321218c0a15bcc/tumblr_ndk1zh6MqT1rcoy9ro1_500h.jpg
As far as I understand all the springs are there.
Could the spring be from the shotgun? If so then from where? The shotgun seems to work too! And it cannot be from an old project. It has to be from one of these three guns.
I will post a picture of the shotgun next if someone can help me recognize it so I could try to find an exploded view of it.
I cannot take the shotgun completely apart since I don't have a punch enough small. But the spring bugs me too much. I need to know where it came from.
Here is the shotgun. I went through my trash can but I couldn't find any other missing parts.
So the question is where the hell did that spring come from?
All the springs seem to be in place in the Mauser and Arisaka. The Harrington & RIchardson works too (cannot take it apart) so where did the spring come from?
When I started to clean up after my firearm maintenance I noticed the spring on top of my rag pile. I worked all three guns simultaneously.

If i had to guess, it looks like the firing pin spring for the shotgun. Otherwise an extractor spring from the pistol, because the Arisaka doesn't have one.

Thanks for your input.
Here are some closeups of the shotgun.
So the other day i bought my first Mosin Nagant, and, honestly, i feel a weird... connection? with it. its the only gun i own where i have no problem walking in front of the barrel of it, whenever another berrel is pointed at me the hair on my neck stands up but... its not like that with the mosin. Im seriously beginning to understand why those people have sex and do weird shit with their nuggets. Anyone else feel the same? also MOSIN general
Is this a good deal? Cheapest I can find online.

What's your favorite 1911? What do you think is the best value for the money?
I almost bought an R1, bought it seemed too cheap compared to other 1911's. Didn't shoot it and never owned one, so it may be great I'm just ignorant in this instance.
Dan Wesson 10mm
Price gets up there, but it reflects quality, action is slicker than OP's mom after a good dicking.
>>31931968
I wouldn't buy anything by Remington at this point. If I were still in the market for a 1911, I'd get a Ruger.
>>31931968
The one in my hand.
Seriously, I like my Springfield GI well enough. Except of course for the Clinton hole in the mainspring housing. Meh.
What is /k's opinion on body armor?
Steel vs Ceramic vs etc etc?
Looking to pick up some plates and a carrier in the coming weeks. Ideally looking for Level IV..It will be just to have and use if ever required. Yes I plan to train and workout in whatever I purchase.
I have read the pros and cons to each, but wanted the opinion of fellow /kommandos
Bump for interest. I'm in the market myself. Seems like everybody likes to choose ceramic over steel from what I've read
I believe Bulletsafe is the best deal on the market right now. Not sure what the best carrier is currently. Shellback Banshees used to be pretty good but I understand the quality has been reduced of late.
>>31931811
Also interesting in responses. Looking at the SKD Slick carrier for no frills cheapness or the Mayflower APC with Hesco Lvl IV plates cause buy once cry once. What say you?
Would you say something like pic related is actually useful on a real conflict?
How would you implement it? Who would you choose to use it?
Do you think the media would throw a fit over it?

No; he didn't beat the Power Rangers once.
What does /k/ think of the Opinel No. 8?
Best value for your money.
I have a couple of them lying around and use them for all kinds of minor cutting needs and smaller woodworkings. Would not use them for "innawoods" scenarios though. I don't think it takes horizontal forces too well (didn't try it out, but it's pretty obvious).
Pretty good. I take mine just about everywhere and beat it up. Had it for a few years now. Good camping/outdoors knife. Never personally tried, but I hear the wooden handle makes them float.
Good, I carry mine with me every day and I love how easy it is to get them sharpened.
how much longer do we have to wait for russia to build a 5th gen fighter like china and the us?
Why can't

F-22 was already produced.
J-20 is in LRIP
F-35 is in LRIP
PAK-FA last ETA for LRIP was 2020
it's a serious question.

You don't understand the shit we get, selling poppies in uniform. So much hate around at the moment. I mean generally it's all positive, but it just takes one loon to ruin a day.
Hi /k/
Me and my bf saved up some money and need a gun for the race war
I'm torn between two guns
Tikka T3 300 WM
and
Standard M1A
I like the bolt action and that calibre
He wants semi auto
We need a gun I can teach him to shoot on easily, which I guess is an M1 but maintenance seems easier and easier to teach on the tikka
>>31964686
>learning to shoot
>on 7.62
Well he's going to flinch fucking hard forever.
At least rent a .22 to get him accustomed to shooting something without the distraction of a fuckhueg bang and recoil.
Breasts?
Why not start with an ar with a 22 conversion kit for teaching?
Rarely is a gun hard to maintain, ars inclided
>>31964717
I gueso. Idk he wants to buy a gun tomorrow and I just wanna borrow my dad's and go to the range, but he's rushing because he watches too much alex jones
>>31964723
i mean, yea, but it's kiiiiiinda gonna be the first gun that's not my dad's either and i don't wanna get a new caliber in a year

Probably the M3, honestly.
>probably the cheapest firearm ever to equip an army
>very, very simple mechanically
>very, very simple to use
>recoil smooth as butter
>>31963765
I have a Sterling AR-180, if Hughes gets repealed then I'm definitely going to get it converted. It'd be nice for my first machine gun and NFA item.
>>31963765
I don't expect it to happen, but that won't stop me from writing my congressmen and senators about it.
Heckler and Roch or Grock spear brand? What's best? Please paint comment down below. Special thanks to Bud's Club Shop for providing me with flint.
