post your nightstand gun, /k/.
Mine used to be a Colt, too. Official Police, 4 in bbl.
It's back to this for now. 15 rounds of 124 gr HST.

Is that the Sasha grey deep throat sucker? Had one of those once. Was pretty good but the material it made out of stunk.
Smith and Wesson Model 15, circa 1959.

nice.
>>31943517

>>31943507
I would have nightmares about the trigger pull.

Mein neger
S&W Model 10 here, police trade in I picked up about 2011/12
Trust it more than any other gun I own
I guess I'm just old fashioned
>>31943937
Yup, works ok for a cheapie
>>31944055
>I would have nightmares about the trigger pull.
I'm not a little bitch
>>31944165
no, you dont get me.
I have nightmares about
>my gun not going off or going off every few rounds
>trigger not moving(that actually happened on one of my guns before).
>not pulling the trigger back far enough.
Ive had a few. I lost alot of faith in my charter arms because of a light primer strike and im pretty sure the ammo had a hard primer.

checking to see if im banned
Mostly because I'm out of room in my safe...

Here's mine.
Just got this bad boy today. My new night stand gun for a long time to come.
>>31947117
Here's how I have it set up now.
>>31947122
>>31947117
I'm planning on getting some Comp 2 speed loaders for it. I heard those are the best and the quickest.
>>31947117
How much did you pay?
>>31947122
looks awesome man, classic styling
you want the 357 specifically? id just get a cheap $400 glock because if you ever had to actually use that for defense its going to the police evidence locker
>>31947137
I paid 750 out the door for a brand new current classic series repro
>>31947144
Thank you. I have a couple of older Smiths already and I'm keeping those in my safe for collection, so I decided to buy this one for a lot of plinking, training, and home defense.
I carry a Glock 26 IWB or a pocket snubbie depending on the weather, and though I trust them, i just trust this gun even more. I had a self defense situation one time where my auto jammed on me.
I was using high quality self defense ammunition and a pristine glock (no lint or over lubrication etc).
And even though my .38 snubbie is just as trust worthy as this smith. 6 rounds of proven 357 coming from a full size handgun feel better than 5 shots of .38special
>>31947168
details on the scenario of this malfunction?
>>31943132
G17
>>31947168
awesome makes sense then since you already have experience with the platform. perfect choice anon.
G29 and two mags of Sig Hollowpoint 10mm.
>>31947122
>internal lock
New Smith & Wessons make me sad.
>>31944132
I love the suppressor with flashlight/laser aesthetic, nice
>>31947525
>armed intruder breaks into home
>draw on him in the dark
>miss all ten shots because of excessive recoil in a subcompact 10mm
>intruder flees in fear
>you're both deaf for the rest of your natural lives
>>31948823
Not the worst outcome, i guess, given some of the possible alternatives to your scenario.
Seriously though, it probably would give me horrendous EEEEEEEEEEEE if i fired it indoors without hearing protection, but that would probably apply to most guns.
It kicks hard but I can mag dump it pretty accurately at the range. Like a 4-5 inch spread at 10 yards, which i guess isn't terrible for a rapid fire drill.
Here's mine
>>31947176
>parking lot in Bakersfield Cuckafornia
>night time
>getting my groceries into a car
>Pretty much alone and empty
>nig comes out of nowhere with a knife
>demands wallet
>draw glock and pull the trigger
>click
>he stands there
>tactically fumble and shit my pants trying to clear it for another shot
>he takes off sprinting
If he took advantage of the situation I could have been stabbed
>>31948774
Yes... that is a shame I won't lie. But if it makes you feel any better. You can take the locks out yourself without the need for a gun smith. Of course, first thing I did.
>>31948881
The range I work at has a G20 on the rental wall. When we get spare 10mm I always go out and waste it. So much fun...but I really wish we had a G29 so I could try some of this wicked Buffalo Bore ammo we have.
>>31947097
That's a big gun
>>31950812
Hey, I remember you. Wasn't it an ammo problem that came from rechambering the same round over and over?
>>31943132
>>31951180
The memory of people on here is amazing. Yeah that's what people speculated. To be fair though I routinely shoot out my old ammo often. So who knows. Could just be a dud round.
I know what happened was low percentage. And it might never happen again. But I came to the conclusion that having to fix a malfunction in a scary situation is something I don't want to go through again. Hell... maybe I'm easily impressionable. Either way. I have more experience with revolvers anyways.
