Who else here carries Condition -1?
The fuck is that? Only condition fabric for me.
>>31939813
condition -1 is when you are constantly actively discharging your firearm into the ground. You have much quicker response time to a threat than condition 0 or 1. The downside is the ammo costs and the hearing loss
I carry a glock so it's condition 0
WW3 When?

What if the AN-94 was chambered in 7.62x39?
What would change about it?
Would it be better worse as a weapon?
>hurr durr 5.45x39 is good enough
Stop lying to yourself. This masterpiece is the bane of all body armor. The energy of 7.62 rounds would make it that much more devastating.
Discuss.
>>31939625
Bane?
>>31939625
The recoil system would have the be redone to get the correct timing to have both rounds on target.
Otherwise it would be pretty much the same just with shittier ammo.
>>31939639
who's that?
he sounds like a pretty big guy
Are those good for winter ? What do you recommend me ? Also Gloves thread
I like the Ironclads I bought at Ace Hardware. They keep my hands warm and they're light enough I can feel the trigger.
Depends what you call winter. Mechanix aren't for insulation, they just protect your hands and they're cheap enough that it doesn't matter if they wear out quickly and you have to replace them every 6 months to a year.
>>31939356
Depends what type of temperatures you're dealing with, and how wet/dry your environment is.
I would use normal mechanix gloves for patrolling and moving around during the day, then I would keep a pair of outdoor research soft shells in a ziplock to keep dry and switch into those whenever we were stationary for a while.
> Have 8-900 rounds of 7.62x39
> Moved to the US of A 3 years ago, yet to see a scare like this, but got a good AR and AK before prices went silly
> When will 7.62x39 go back to 17, 18cents a round?
>>31939202
>> When will 7.62x39 go back to 17, 18cents a round?
never lowest you are going to get is 20
the only way 17 or under will happen is if russia or china is allowed to directly import ammo again
>>31939202
work in a gun store that sells it
I get mine for like close to 15 cents a round
>>31939532
I would, but being a full-time student, it's not many hours left/week.
why 30 rounds?
is it some kind of magic number?
>>31938882
tfw 32
>>31938882
The real question is why ammo is only 20 rounds a box.
>>31938882
A decent trade off. On the one hand you have the size and weight, on the other you have useful capacity. 30 rounds is the middle ground, for the same reason the larger, heavier 7.62mm battle rifles tend to have 20 round mags.
Another plus is for rifles with 3-round burst. 10 good bursts with a full mag (not that you'd be fully loading a 30 rounder in practice.)
What's a good gun to attract cute girls with?
My love gun
Girls don't like guns
They like attention though, so they may grow to like them due to the attention it attracts.
These guns.
What's the most absurd gun/tactical product you've ever seen?

The Tac Sac
Is a fucking joke. Every rifle I have purchased this year has went over the 72 hr mark. T- 10 hours on this ourchase
Haha
sucks to be you. It takes my FFL two clicks and the time it takes me to fill my 4473 out.
>>31938555
Grats on that folding waffle iron though.
Oregon fag. Here we use the state police. Couldn't be more happy. Auto approval. Chl puts you ahead of people without.
I will probably have to move to Texas so I'm planning to just get my carry licence and buy third party only (legal there). Fuck the fbi. Horror stories like this piss me off. What part of shale not be infringed does the fbi not get? My background check with osp takes like...60 seconds. I had a bg check take 20 minutes but I find it unfucking acceptable people gave to wait long periods of time. Fbi outsources NICs too.
>our favorite ammo seller is at it again

inb4 they start selling $130 30 round STANAG mags again
What a bunch of cunts
This UGV was tested recently on a NATO exercise.
It seems to have performed quite well.
It seems to me that the foot soldier is not going to be necessary for much longer. Will really future warfare be just robot wars? Is that a bad thing or does it signal a more mature global civilization where the life of its citizens are valued more highly?

Machinery breaks.
The endgame of the next major war will be indistinguishable from the endgame of the last one.
You seem to have entirely missed the point that it's made to support infantry. Not replace them in the slightest.
>A tracked equipment carrier means infantry will be replaced
What retarded mental gymnastics did you pull to reach this conclusion?
I'm strongly considering panic buying a gun just in case of Shillary gets elected. What do I buy /k/? I only have 400 bucks, and currently own a Beretta M9.
I'm currently looking at
>Yugo SKS
>Spanish Mauser .308
Would prefer to own a semi-auto rifle of some kind (preferably an AR or an AK), what do I buy /k/?
>>31938348
shameless self bump, please help me /k/
sks is a good option if you want one RIGHT NOW and can get one.
If you have a regular income you can join sportsman's guide and use their payment plan. I'm a poor fag and that's how I got my AR. I'm gonna get a wasr that way too if we don't MAGA tonight.
What are the chances of a criminal using body armor, I've heard alot of talk saying a shotgun or pistol won't do the job because of this, is this a legitimate concern?
Unless it's some sort of organized crime or high profile bank robbery type thing I doubt your average criminal will wear any form of body armor aside from a thick coat.
>>31938256
What like a burglar? The good ones are smart enough to specifically target your home when you are least likely to be home and not carry stuff that would add extra charges on them if caught.
The ones going after houses at night are dummies or crackheads, neither of which have the resources or forethought for armor.
I do believe that it is a federal crime to wear body armor during the commission of a crime. If so, it would mean spending a number of years in the federal no-parole prison system.
Hey /k/ I plan on doing some coyote hunting in the near future. Wondering if you have any advice for me, I.E. weapon, caliber, tactics. Any information is helpful.
>>31938222
>weapons
Do you live near and hunt over open fields, or are you chasing the caniggers in forests? Flat-shooting rifle for the former, shotgun for the latter.
>caliber
Literally anything from .22mag up. They're not exactly robust critters.
>tactics
Try to hunt with a partner, they're sneaky. Try to stay downwind of your shooting lanes. Invest in good binoculars if you're planning on hunting open areas. Electronic calls work decently well. Camo is 100% required.
I've taken coyotes with everything from a 10/22 with subsonic LRN or a 20ga with quail loads to a .338RUM at 1300+ yards. That should give you an idea of the caliber range you can use for them (don't recommend either extreme though).
>>31938222
witnessed
.223 is a great caliber for them. Small hole so you can keep the pelt if you want.
A lot of waiting is done with yotes.
Get a blind, open space, a caller of some sort, get a moving decoy. Dying rabbit noises are great.
>>31938222
What is your location, coyotes vary wildly across regions of the US?
