Any input on a threaded barrel on p226 Stainless Elite? Supposedly drop-in but have read otherwise.

How would it be otherwise?
A friend of mine who has one says the threads are in the opposite direction to most products. So you may have to get a thread adapter
>USAMA!
>USAMA!
>USAMA!
does this actually work?
I mean, you're friends and family are getting merced downstairs, its a pretty high stress situation.
..and then someone, in a very calm tone, calls out your name..adrenaline/shock brain is gonna respond.
According to this book they called him something else. In the movie they called him Usama or Osama because that's what the public knows him by.
>>32376115
>then someone, in a very calm tone, calls out your name
yeah but why is there no call back?
>khalid? is that you?
>>32376161
i dont mean calling him usama specifically, but just sitting there in the shadows calling his name until someone comes out.
hey /k/ommandos
So it seems like almost every self defense video I see, either instructors are terrified of knives or come up with some complicated way to disarm a crack head. The "I'm scared" camp rests on most knife attacks are too savage to use technique against, with the other focusing on disarming the weapon hand.
Which is right? Also, why are so many instructors so fucking scared of knives? I understand how destructive they can be, but one instructor I watched literally said "just run away".
>Inb4 muh loser dies in the gutter and muh winner dies in the hospital
>>32376079
That's actually the right answer though.
Gee, I wonder why trained professionals are telling you to avoid knife fights? It's almost like they're extremely dangerous, you'll get fucked up regardless of the outcome, and simply running away will drastically reduce the chance of you getting hurt.
Take pic with grain of salt, because it doesn't indicate the aggressor's weapon choice or persistence of pursuit, but still.
You need 0 training to be deadly with a knife.
Is 40 S&W objectively shit?
>>32375964
It'll still kill someone dead. So objectively, no.
>>32375964
objectively I kinda like it despite what the rest of this board will say.
>>32375964
Nah. It's just not very impressive. It's more or less a middle between 45 and 9. But the difference between 45 and 9 isn't really significant.
Hey /k/ how viable would it to pee into mason jars and combine with bleach and launch these glass containers full of liquid at "targets?" Pic isn't but is semi related.
>>32375915
Tossing piss jars?
I'm guessing Canada.
>>32375915
At least use actual ammonia if you want to poison people
This is a sawed off .30 M1 Garand from about 40-50 years ago. Its 19.5in long which puts it only an inch and a half from being illegal. Post your barely legal firearms, /k/. Also if anyone has any more details about this gun, do share.
>>32375801
Update: I googled it and it turns put this gun is pretty fucking illegal. I thought the legal length was 18" for some reason. Continue thread as normal
>>32375801
You dumb faggot
That's a m1 carbine enforcer
Its the pistol version of the m1 carbine
Dipshit
hey /k/
I'm going to be in Prague soon and am looking to pick up a Czech vz24 mauser while I'm there. I live in the US.
A few questions for those familiar with international arms shipping:
-Is it even worth looking for a rifle in Prague as opposed to domestically? I'm not up to date on firearm regulations in the country- is the hassle of purchasing a rifle worth the difference in price?
-I heard that I would have to acquire an import license so I can have it shipped here and that this would cost somewhere in the range of $25-50. Can I get this after the fact so I don't wind up spending $50 on a license that I don't need if I don't find a rifle worth burying?
-Accepting recommendations for any cool places in Prague to buy firearms
Thanks in advance
Also relevant: could a vz24 qualify as an antique weapon? I heard this could get me around some import restrictions.
Wait, you seriously think you can just come somewhere and buy a gun? What makes you think that?
Anon you already fukered up. You need to find a stateside importer that agrees to import . Pay their fees and then you can go find your rifle, and then find an exporter or whatever the host countries laws are.
Its really expensive for just one rifle. You're looking at 500ish importers fee, and a tax tariffs thing close to 14% of its value, plus import fees.
Antiques do have slightly different rules, but a vz24 isnt blackpowder or a muzzleloader.
I vote Matt for being one of the best GunTubers
>Makes videos cool and fun rather than the cringe fest other channels suffer from
>Can be really informative when he wants to
>Uses the revenue from both his gun and vet channel to help fund a rescue program for animals he runs
>>32375225
>>Can be really informative when he wants to
mat is actually a low tier gun guy, with his family, and clinic he doesnt have time to really study firearms. His knowledge is really lacking and if you watch many of his video he admits to it.
>my vote
I think Ian(and karl) is probably the best gun youtuber because he is humorous and he explores all of the varying parts of gun culture.
>>32375269
Yeah I do agree he definitely isn't a professional, but I think the beauty of his videos is that he can appeal to a much larger audience and offer some good info for people just getting into guns.
>>32375285
He's the type that is more on the fun side of guns instead of trying to be extremely informative.
Which is fine by me because I enjoy videos of people having fun with guns instead of trying to act and sound serious all the time.
Just watched pic related, really fun movie with operators operating operationally.
Any suggestions of movies along the same lines? It was interesting seeing something like this with current factions (although the ISIS flags were pure nonsense, but hey it's Hollywood)
>>32375041
No, child.
Actually "operated". Fucking punk snot.
Check out the 13th Warrior.
>>32375069
...the Antonio Banderas movie?
Act of valour was a movie i saw a while back, about navy seals but it got pretty mixed reviews.
I would recommend Last Survivor which was a badass movie about 4 soldiers who get caught out in enemy territory
What gun did he use /k/? What gun just started ww3

So I called and cancelled my hmg stg44. It's been a year of being lied to. They state they will send the check tomorrow. Any of you guys still holding out hope? Anybody want to buy 300 rounds of 8mm kurz?
I don't think they're lying, just the businessman fucked up
>>32374929
The amount of changes in schedule show a major mess up. They have either a skill problem or an honesty problem but either way every deadline they give has been missed repeatedly. I really wanted this thing but can't keep this going on and on
Best way to get into weapons?
>>32374764
Which kind of weapon are you interested in?
You could spend your entire life researching just different variations of swords or the early development of semi-automatic pistols, etc and never run out of stuff to learn.
>>32374778
Modern day rifles, british and us military armed service weapons.

Since uniforms are considered a form of military technology, let's talk about them.
Why the fuck can't the US Navy get its shit right with uniforms?

Look at those god-awful blue cammies. Dark, heavy, doesn't breathe, inconvenient, flammable... With the exception of the last trait, it was basically the Eric Garner of uniforms
How hard would it be to make a modern LeMat? Its a 9 shot revolver with a single shot 20ga under the main barrle
I mean it would be a badass fucking gun if you could somehow make a modern remake of it, question is would it be possible
No considering its black powder and a smokeless cartridge firing version would be huge just like the cartridge conversions there already are
Just get an M4 with an underbarrel shotgun attachment :^)
