Post in this thread if you've shot a gun this week.
What was it?
How was it?
How many rounds?
What we're you shooting at?
When will you be going again?
Does /k/ actually use their guns?
Pic related, wool socks are best socks
>>32379208
Nice bitch pad buddy.
>>32379235
You mean the butt stock that is manufactured onto the gun in the factory? Thanks faggot. Pick up a gun once in awhile
Why not
Marlin 60
Nice and -Fun-
200
Steel targets and moving paper, also various shit littered on the range
Probably Wednesday, to have some fun before the xmas break.
Hope to have time to load some 12Ga and 9mm
What's the first weapon you ever carried /k/?
For me it was this Camillus CP75 boot knife. My mom got it for me when I was 12 years old all the way back in '95. Not my first knife but definitely the first one I ever took anywhere with me.
Did you actually carry it on your boot? Not a weapon but mine was an old spyderco endura that was stolen
>>32379245
I carried it on a belt for a few years until I realized it was actually a boot knife. Haven't carried it in years. Just came across it while going through an old box of my shit. Is it too autistic to wear a boot knife?
>>32379783
Meh, to each their own. Most of /k/ would call you autistic but fuck it. Did you have to carry it scout style or does it have a clip for the belt?
7 years ago I got my first real ("battle ready") sword. A Hanwei Raptor Katana, still love it, but it's my only true sword.
I finally caved and ordered a European sword from Valiant Armoury, the Special Edition Rhinelander. It's an Oakeshott type XIIa, with a T4 pommel and type 12 guard. I ordered it with a blue handle and belt with a gray sheath.
What sword's do you own/want?
pic related, it's the Rhinelander from their product page.
>>32379173
What's the stats like on it?
>>32379173
That is a nice scabbard,. Do they offer a belt and/or hangar for it?
Suppose a nigger wanted to keep some water indefinitely. Say he wanted two 55 gal drums to last "forever." Would a pump and filter keep the water from going flat and remain clean? What kind of setup would you recomend?
>>32379166
i dont think you could store water indefinitely
but id get a fish tank circulation pump and air bubbler to make it last longer at a higher quality you can also probably get additives to reduce bacteria growth
>>32379166
Chlorine tablets before you intend to use it, make sure to give it adequate contact time to the tune of ~10 hours if you aren't mixing.
>>32379166
Water should last indefinitely two ways - as ice, or canned up without oxygen. Either way, you won't get any microorganisms living in it and it'll stay clean.
Other than brand loyalty, tradition and fanboyism is there any reason to get a glock in 2017? The main thing that they are known for is being THE reliable, versitile striker fired pistol, but now days they just seem kind of outdated and overpriced. There are so many striker fired guns out there. If you want a cheap, decent pistol, you have the M&P and the SR9. If you want a mid priced striker fired pistol you have the Walther PPQ, the FN9, and the CZ-P10 is coming out. The thing is all of these pistols have better sights, better trigger pulls (well maybe not the M&P) and better ergos than the Glock. The only advantage the Glock has is cheaper and interchangeable magazines and a ton of after market mods, but the reason these after market mods are available is because the glock is so damn mediocre out of the box, and yet they are still mostly going for over 500 dollars.
So please, tell me, what advantages does the glock have over these other guns?
Not a troll thread. I own a glock 19 and I'm going through some buyers remorse, or just wondering whether I made the right decision.
>what advantages does the glock have over these other guns?
it works, pure and simple.
It's the Coca-Cola of the firearms world.
Sure Coke is alright and readily available everywhere, but there's definitely better drinks out there if you're willing to look.

> It works
>as a grenade
Did the American government really buy all the .22LR ?
What the fuck are they doing with it?
Loading it into a satellite for space warfare?
It's the most frequently purchased ammunition.
They're buying it all up to prevent the citizens from having it when the alt-right deathsquads come marching in
No.
Hoarders did.
And now they're trying to offload LITERALLY hundreds of thousands of rounds for 10CPR.
Laugh at them.
>>32379027
Scabs spread the rumor to further artificially increase .22lr demand.
Recovering Liberal here.
I've always wanted, but never could into guns. Today's "events" have convinced me to begin my journey. Where do I start if I'm super poor and have never fired a gun? What weapons in general should I have. I literally only have a switchblade so far and have no idea how to use it
>>32379000
>Recovering Liberal
What did he mean by this?
>>32379000
>super poor
Get not poor. Is a must.
>>32379014
He means he is done being stupid around guns
If science were to come up with a material able to withstand the extreme pressure and light enough to use in the manufacture of small arms, would it be feasible to use small amounts of high explosive as propellant instead of powder? I suppose the bullets would have to be a super hard material as well to not be liquefied from the force of the explosion.
>>32378984
What would be the point? You would have clunkier firearms due to having higher tolerances built in, for negligible increase in velocity. Furthermore, there is massive variety in the speed of different explosives: 'slow' explosives do so at around 3000m/s and are more for moving or shifting large masses, whereas 'fast' explosives at around 7-9000m/s are designed for piercing.
The only time this becomes cost effective and not an impediment to design is in large bore guns (i.e 120mm+), such as tank armaments, where you will have the projectile and propellant charge separate. Up until that point, gunpowder does just as well if not better, as it has a consistent and reliable combustion rate, doesnt require mahoosive tolerances by comparison and wont fuck with the internals of the firearm anywhere near as much.
Depends. You can't put too much propellant in a shell like you said because Newton's third law says it will dislocate your shoulder.
We use gunpowder because it burns as the bullet travels down the barrel. If we used something like c4 instead it would cause a pulse of force that would increase stress on the barrel and even further increase recoil.

I'm not retarded enough to understand this.
That's coming from an Infantry Marine. Well done. I guess.
Anyone expecting new funs this holiday?
>>32378940
I ordered pic related for myself for Christmas; should be here by Wednesday.
It'll be my first BP, and revolver at that.
My wife is taking me shopping to pick one out as my Christmas gift because she cannot remember "Glock 19" or "Ruger LCR".

Didn't the Army ban PMAGs or something?
>>32378860
It was a misunderstanding or something...according to the Army

Dearest /k/,
Is the Sig P250 /k/ approved? Considering getting one for the great consumer holiday.
I don't like striker guns all that much and the modular grip shell appealed to me for work and off work purposes. Also, DAO doesn't really bother me since I view it and a revolver trigger similarly.
Thoughts?
>>32378430
nobody likes it. its the bastard sig. only sig more hated is the mosquito.
>>32378447
Fuck you

Stop feeling like an idiot and learn how to use your gun. You'll be glad.

Enjoy your freedom, you goof.
Would a vest have saved him?
Probably not, the shots were from up close and apparently the dude walked up and fired another shot after the ambassador was down. Easy headshot for him
negative, it was four in the back and one in the head. nothing could have helped him
>turdogan is already blaming the gulenists for this
Top kek, turkey is so shit tier
