I used one to clean a cz83 and feg hi power.

same model. Worked pretty well, wouldn't try to put plastic in there, and any loose screws will fall out probably, also any sight paint will be gone. I used hoppes9 solution.

Cleaned pretty swell i would say, probably wouldn't do full guns like that again and maybe just a slide or barrel.

Do not put wood in there it will fuck it up. Also theres a test online where you take a coat hanger, bend it up and put a sheet of aluminum foil on it, search youtube, it will poke holes in it and show you the good areas to place shit.

These cleaners are shit though and you really need to spend the money and get a good one.

Just get some bolt action .308 from a pawnshop or new. Ruger or Tikka if you're going new. Or you could ask them if you could use one of their guns, they'd probably be happy to let you borrow one as long as you don't fuck it up.

Get a Savage AXIS in .308 or .243 WIN, great gun for beginners and inexpensive, get it shipped to an FFL dealer if you can't find one in a local gun store. Also, try and find a LGS in your area that has informed staff and ask them about scopes and get them to mount one for you.

S&Ws will have better triggers. The 686+ gives you 7 shots which is nice. Honestly the only downside is a couple hundred bucks more. It's not quite as sturdy as the Rugers but it's not going to really ever wear out.

The GP100 doesn't have a bad trigger but it's not great. It will shoot full power .357 for your life, your children's life, and grandchildrens life. It's fucking indestructible.

You may consider the GP Match Champion. If you're to go by stereotypes, it should have the durability/ruggedness of a Ruger and the finesse of a S&W. I had one and thoroughly enjoyed it. I only sold it to go to 44mag.

Assuming this is about pure unarmored soft targets, the best theoretical ammo you could fire would be highly fragmenting low penetrating round, correct?

Meaning that the absolute ideal ammo for shooting non-armored soft targets such as a random crackhead trying to mug you would be a bullet that only penetrates, say, 2-3 inches before fragmenting 90 degrees from the impact in all directions, not penetrating any deeper ignoring the feasibility of such a round of course.
