Hey /k/, I'm writing a screenplay,
what effect would Napalm have on a Skinwalker?
>>33300805
Get the fuck out.
>I'm writing a screenplay,
/lgbt/ is this way --->
>>33300805
Burn it
>>33300819
Yeah but would it immobilize it? Would it just light the thing on fire and now you're dealing with a Napalm covered Skinwalker?
Ok guys, does anyone here own a Kukri and actually like it? Ive owned and used them for a few years now, ive really tried to like them but i'm finally ready to admit it, i think they're a fucking terrible tool.
They're just useless for anything, far too thick and slow to whip through light foliage, instead they just smack it around. far too thick to be used for normal cutting or slashing tasks. the only thing they can actually do is chop solid hard wood, and they dont do it anywhere near as well as a small hatchet. I've found that my cheap ass $5 Tramontina machete can do everything my kukri can do and much better.
The only positive thing's i can say is that they are absolutely indestructible and their stupidly thick bevel means they never get stuck in any pieces of wood, they just bounce out.
So yeah, who else owns one and likes it? Kukri general i guess.
>>33300630
they're for cutting people's heads off, not "whipping through light foliage".
>>33300658
Nope, they are used by villagers as a general purpose tool and very rarely as a weapon too. and even then, they dont make a great weapon with how stupidly thick and clumsy they are.
>kukri
>useless
pick one.

yes - they are thick, and heavy, and not ideal to clear light foiage. but chopping and cutting is another thing altogether.
Ex.1 Apparently the Russians and Americans made some assault rifles before the Germans did. However they went practically nowhere with it.

>>33300499
Even italy and maybe france did as well, maybe more.
The assault rifle was hardly a new concept when the germans rolled out the STG-44
>>33300499
What held back earlier development of automatic standard rifles?
I can see in WWI, using bolts and shotguns since you were either at 1000 yards or clearing a trench. But the sheer amount of bolt actions even when semi-auto was becoming standard by WWII seems ridiculous.
>>33300499
Very little of what the Germans produced during the second world war was original, it was innovative in the fact that they were the first to take these concepts seriously enough to implement them in large scale and home in on the ways that those ideas should be done.
Could we use magnets instead of springs in firearm actions? Would they be less likely to wear out?
>>33300419
magnets are prone to cracking when struck. Also, the further two sources of electromagnetism are, the weaker the force; stretch a spring further and it just builds more tension.
>>33300419
>the further two sources of electromagnetism are, the weaker the force
to clarify, you would end up with a slide that doesnt want to leave battery, and wont want to return to battery once its out.
>>33300432
What about for the ejector spring (a notorious source of jams in some actions, such as the Remington 700)?

Hey if I'm going to build a quick bamboo bow. What would be better, green or dried bamboo?
Thanks
Third choice, not bamboo because it's a fucking grass
>>33300250
Well it's a grass thats harder than wood but ok friend. What do you recommend I make a bow out of with wood in Japan (I live here if you couldn't figure that bit out)
>>33300277
>(I live here if you couldn't figure that bit out)
Bamboo grows everywhere you yellow nigger
Find some Yew or Maple or something. It works in Runescape
What does /k/ think of Receiver?
>ask a weapons board what their opinion on a game with intricate weapons control
Cmon atleast just say you want to talk about the game instead of jerking off into the bush like a faggot
Also its aiiieegghhht
>>33300162
No, I've played the game to death and I think it's pretty good. I don't want opinions of game-players, I want opinions from you guys.
>>33300198
btw I'm asking this as a person who's shit-scared of guns irl
Greetings fellow /k/ommandos.
LeMartin here. I want to give a major thanks to the Anon's who found for me the schematics for the m14 stock, and the receiver.
It has been months since I gave an update on the rifle housing I am designing. I don't want to give too much away but I do have a major update. Before I do that however let me refresh you on the gun I am designing:
I am taking a Springfield M1a/m14 and turning it in to a p90 style bullpup (Feeds from the top ejects out the bottom). I have a few other tricks to make this a special gun actually feasible (I have a way to make P90-esque magazines that can accommodate a tapered bullet unlike the 5.7mm).
Today I have completed the vast majority of the first part I needed, which was to replicate the inner tolerances of an M1a stock. This is the first major hurdle I have to make the gun work. I still need to do some touch ups but PIC RELATED is what I have so far. Everything is 100% accurate on the inside except for one minor area. I didn't model in the bipod slot on the stock and other things like the sling attachments because I plan to make a picatiny rail for this.
The next part I have to attack is the upper cover (which will be the bottom with the trigger and thumbhole/p90 style grips) as well as the ejection port and buttstock.
With that said, I am planning to 3D print this for some rapid prototyping. For this I need a 3D printer. My budget is $300. What 3D printer would you guys recommend for printer gun parts? Preferably one that is 8x8x8 print space, has built in print support software so I don't have bad extrusions for the midair prints, has good print resolution, and is simple enough for a novice to work on. Im new to 3D printer so what kind of plastics/extrusions should I use?
Tl;dr Anon making gun posts update, asks how to 3D print for physical rifle.
I'm the Anon that made this thread:

Probably don't share every detail if you plan on copyrighting this or making money off it
>>33300125
Im not. I just wanted to give a shout out and thanks to the anons who helped me out.

I can't get barrel bushing to slide over the guide rod. The rod won't depress down far enough. What do??? It's a 1911 made between 1912 and 1914 U.S property stamped BTW.
>>33299374
Cause its got a full length guide rod.You need to pull the slide back to the point where it will let you push the slide stop out.The barrel and slide will stay together then you can take the spring out from the bottom.
>>33299386
full length guide rods are a scourge on this earth
>>33299374
Who in the fuck put a flgr in a vintage 1911?
HOLY FLYING FUCKBATS! ATF changes their mind about "sporting purpose" of our favorite guns (they are just trying to save their jobs) http://www.thedailyliberator.com/atf-declares-ar-15-ak-style-rifles-standard-hunting-activities/
>Welcome to the white paper from a month ago
>>33299175
At least link the whitepaper
http://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/documents/national/read-the-white-paper-on-firearms-regulations/2325/
>distinguishing between DD launchers and munitions
>silencers could go off the NFA
>AR-15 pattern rifles could have sporting purpose
>>33299175
it's been out almost a month now, and sadly the ATF has said that it's only Ronald Turks opinions and not actual policy.
I gotta say the Kriss Vector is a damn smexy submachine gun. Why have we not experimented with 10mm more? Is the Kriss actually combat tested or no?
I can definitely see a police force using this, Lord knows we could stand to replace the MP5 or the UMP.
>>33299116
you call that boxy hunk of plastic smexy?
your tastes are shit
>>33299116
>MP5
If it ain't broken don't fix it.
SMGs are dead. Short barrelled and bullpup assault rifles fill that role now. The only reason you still see them is it's not particularly worthwhile to replace them until they break because they can't just be sold off to civilians in most jurisdictions. Stocked machinepistols and PDWs are the closest thing to an SMG being seriously developed now. That thing is too big and 10mm is too hot.
What do you guys think?
HK45 with a low round count and a TLR2G. Considering grabbing a threaded barrel and waiting out an ATF stamp for a suppressor.
Post any HK products you guys have, discuss them, whatever.
>>33299103
I think the Hk45 is the worst HK gun, even if it still is a good gun.
>>33299227
>Zero reasons given
>worst gun (assuming handgun)
>not vp9
Can noguns at least try to be more subtle?
>>33299249
I am not a nogunz. I just know that there is no reason to get the Hk45 over guns like the USP45, and the HK45c or the USPc. Elephant foot mags exist, and the ergos on it are overrated.
Which was better, /k/?
>>33298961
Both are good, id prefer the p38 but the p47 is very close
>>33298961
p38 because aesthetics.
>>33298961
P-47. P-38 is nice but loses due to excessive manufacturing complexity
