This is a picture of Simo Häyhä, but can someone on /k/ explain why a sniper would use an bayonet? Wouldn't the bayonet reduce the accuracy of the rifle? Or is it just a staged photograph?
>>33288262
It's not Simo and it's a staged photograph.

What's the best job in the air force that doesn't require a top secret clearance? I can't get a top secret clearance because of some medical issues i don't want to bring up, but i also don't want a job that will make me want to blow my brains out. I don't mind working hard outside, i just want something that has a lot of bases overseas(being stationed in Japan or south Korea would be nice) and isn't shit. Preferably something that has transferable skills in the civilian world as well, in case the whole college thing doesn't work out, but that isn't a priory. Thanks /k/.
What's the worst anti-gun argument you've ever heard someone make?

I'm not sure I can pick a worst one.

A 19 year old told me this I college. How do you make it into college, let alone make it to the age of 19 without knowing where meat from the grocery store comes from?

I'm jealous of the Mauser and the P38(P1?)
>>33261894
Thanks man!
The Mauser is all matching and with the P38/1 it seems to be a WW2 P38 repurposed after the war. The slide is marked P38 and everything but the frame is the aluminum P1 frame, from what I can guess maybe the frame broke or was too dinged up and it was replaced?

Reminder that M855A1 will still fragment when fired from a 7.5" barrel while still maintaining 15"+ of penetration:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIKdstJP7Qw
What's the point of .300 memeout now when the only loads that can match this level of performance uses boutique machined bullets that costs a couple dollars each? Also, looking at various 5.56 rifles with folding stocks and pistols available (such as Kel Tec's PLR-16) it would seem that this would allow an effective 5.56 PDW to be about the same OAL as an MP7.
>Wanting to shoot your barrel out that much faster
>Implying anyone can buy m855a1 in the first place
.300 Blackout suppresses well in one of the most common weapons platform available. That's why its popular.
>>33298873
>Wanting to shoot your barrel out that much faster
The wear problems with M855A1 are exaggerated, but even if they did exist they would be completely wort it for the ridiculous performance boost. If the M855A1 retains its velocity at a distance as well as the older M855 then it will likely exceed the effective fragmentation range of the Mk262 Mod 1 when fired from a 20" barrel even when fired from an M4.
>Implying anyone can buy m855a1 in the first place
It's slowly becoming more available. Keep in mind that the military just adopted it not long ago and it took a couple years to phase it in.
1/1/1944.
Magically, Germany is given 100 A-10's with enough fuel and ammo to fly 5 sorties per day during 3 months.
They have AGM-65, laser guide bombs, dumb bombs, napalm bombs, cluster bombs, rocket pods and AIM-9.
Is this enough to turn the war?
>>33292502
They don't have fuel, or spare parts, or the technical knowledge to maintain them.
The aircraft would be blown up on the runway, just like the actual Luftwaffe.
Congrats also on choosing the least effective aircraft you could have given them.
>>33292502
Kursk happened so probably not really, but it would help. It could help their jet program. Knowing germany though hitler would probably think they are for attacking bombers
