fuck henry
Hey fuck you buddy.
>>33296288
the OG henry if he were alive today would have made repeaters with loading gates
the fudd """henry""" alive today is just banking on the name and refuses to make anything other than autistic front tube loaders
>>33296308
Dude put a damn AR bolt inside a lever action so you could shoot .223, .243, and .308 out of a magazine.
/k/ What do you think of this gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiatfSQ0xwg

Kek.

>twirling a cheapshit pistol
lmao.
Honestly it's not that much different from the LARPers on /k/ though.

>>33296207
Most people don't realize that the quality of troops directly affects the material of which the tanks armor is composed. I read it here it must be true.
Sup my Texas /k/omrades. We have a chance to get constitutional carry on the books here in the Lone Star State.
It's time for Texas to join our fellow freedom loving brothers in the other states that don't impose a tax on a right endowed by our Creator.
https://lonestargr.com/legislative-updates/lone-star-gunners-call-action/
>tax on a right endowed by our Creator
I'm sorry what.
>>33295853
Natural rights are endowed by our Creator, fedorabro.
>>33295870
Right because god ("our creator") created weapons
Would a carbine that loads through the grip in 5.56x45 be worth the compactness if a standard magazine (7" tall) only held around 15 rounds instead of 30?
I did some drafts in CAD and if the magazine loads rounds at a 50 degree angle it can fit inside a grip under 2.25 inches long.
Because the bullets are on an angle you get less capacity and a better grip.
Basically MP7 in 5.56 is possible but if you want a good grip you get less magazine capacity.
What are your thoughts?
>>33295310
how about showing us the actual CAD drawing, faggot.
>>33295310
Velocity would be ridiculously low. Better in 300blk or 7.62x39.
>>33295382
it's a carbine with a 18-14.5" barrel
Is it time for the battle blimp to make a come back?
>>33295307
No, and the artistic license taken with these post cards triggers my 'tisms.
>>33295307
>come back
It was never a thing.
>>33295307
Get off BF1 bro, it was never a thing
However,
You aren't 100% stupid for asking.
We could have blimps used as refueling and other logistical work in the future.
How easily could a helicopter carrier be converted into a fixed-wing carrier?
What are the basic modifications required besides swapping out birds and installing catapults?
>>33295209
>by buying F35s
>>33295209
You'd have to re-enforce the deck for jets and repeated carrier ops, but aside from that not much.
So to answer the unasked question yes Japan could make their carriers fixed wing capable, it would cost a few billion but they can do it.
>>33295209
>helicopter carrier
Pic unrelated, right? Because these two are clearly harmless (helicopter) destroyers
Best of /k/ time
So theres is a 2 question thread.
Im not technically a gun virgin as I was a boy scout and was very familiar around 12gauges/14/16
.22 rifles., muzzle loaders,30-06. And my uncle has let me shoot a .45 /9mm handgun.
But as it comes to terminology like what a bore is im not too familiar.
Is there any good books to read or just read wikis?
Also the main question of the thread.
What should you look for when buying a gun to make sure its a good gun to not get ripped?
As I plan on buying an AK/AR shortly most likely used id like to know what parts of the gun to make sure arent damaged and what not.
Really would appreciate some non dickish advice
Hmmmm
Hmmmm
Hmmmm
post 'em ITT
I will start with a classic Jerry
Can someone explain to me what exactly the appeal is?
I'm just not seeing it.
>>33294419
It gives people the sensation that they're getting away with something and screwing over the ATF, when they really aren't.
ever had a tooth you wanted removed but didnt want to go to the dentist?

Post your stories about interacting with law enforcement with guns involved. Happy or sad endings.
>be Texan
>go to church downtown in major city with overwhelming young adult demographic
>30.07 sign shows up next to entrance one week
>no 30.06 sign, so Concealed Carry is still fine, I guess.
>been CC-ing for a long time on Sundays
>couple weeks later, having lunch with pastor of church to ask difficult questions about the doctrine of Election
>he and I had previously discussed being mutual Dennis Prager fans; each of us are Conservative, feel comfortable asking about the 30.07 sign
>did someone walk in displaying their piece openly and frighten the urban youths?
>pastorbro says no, it was a way to subtly let CHL holders know the church is cool with them carrying, but also extend an olive branch to those who would be uncomfortable or distracted by guns in the service
>tell him that I’m asking because I carry, and I appreciate the church’s position
>pastorbro is glad that there are armed people in the congregation
>feelsgoodman.png
>he also mentions that the police officers there on Sundays would appreciate knowing that there are lawful CC’ers there with them (I guess in case something goes down?)
>think of Philando Castille, nervous about saying something wrong that would make conversation less than perfectly civil
>feelsnotasgoodman.tif
Couple Sundays later –
>two officers near door to kids area (they’re there mostly to protect the children)
>walk up to them, explain what pastor said, etc.
>they’re both clearly surprised, and are slightly awkward in responding; clearly haven’t had this conversation many times before
>”Cool man, that’s your right. We don’t need to check you or anything. Thanks for letting us know.”
>thank them for their service to our church, shake their hands, go on with my day.
It feels silly that I was so nervous, in retrospect. It’s nice that we still have civil interactions, despite the stuff on the news.
Be duck hunting
Leave car on road
finish up day, walk out of sqamp in full camo with loaded 32 inch barrel semi auto shotguns
find cop waiting by our car
Cop clearly not expecting 2 6' dudes in full face paint, nor does he seem to understand teh concept of hunting
he pulls his pistol on us, instructs us to place our firearms on the ground
end up being held at gun point for about 20 minutes while we wait for this cop to read and figure out our licenses and send us on our way
worst expereince I have ever had.
>Get pulled over for speeding
>Hand my license and LTC over to cop
>"Do you have a handgun on you now?"
>"Yes on my right hip."
>He looks over at my rifle on the passenger seat
>"Did you make that paracord sling?"
>"No I bought it off ebay."
>"That's cool. I'll be right back."
I got a ticket.
>Be a cop
>Respond to call of shots fired in a wooded area
>This wooded area is just about the last bit of undeveloped land in the county
>Live in an area that does not allow for shooting out in the open
>Set up around the woods
>Helicopter flying over head, telling us what they see
>Suspects in a truck headed towards me
>See truck coming
>Felony stop
>Two in custody
>Both young males
>Both wanted to go shooting at a nearby range, but it was too busy
>Bought ammo and went into nearby woods to shoot at trees
>Saw helicopter circling and got spooked
>Find newish AR15 in truck
>Passenger just bought it a week ago
>Take gun as evidence
>Issue NTA to both for unlawful discharge of a weapon and send them on their way
>Weeks later gun owner calls me up and asks if he can have his rifle back
>Pull up case notes from county computer
>Both pled out
>Judge notated "weapon forfeit" as a condition of a lesser sentence
>Tell rifle owner he's SoL
>Months later agency issues me an AR
>Looks different that the other ones being issued
>Looks familiar
>Ask armorer what up with my gun
>"We got it for cheap from property and evidence. It's functionally fine. Don't worry about it."
>Check serial number against my report, same AR
>kek to myself
>Carried that rifle for over a year until I bought my own
I know past few threads were pretty dead, but try to have normal conversations and please don't sperg out.
>where do you buy your firearms?
>what places are good to shoot?
>where should we stay away from?

Seriously I hate them they are the wors, always talking about how obsolete everything is and what is the "best" like no one cares people shoot guns for fun but they always have to come and ruin everything
>"Should I get this revolver /k/?"
>"REVOLVERS ARE OBSOLETE AND HAVE NO PLACE IN THE 21ST CENTURY, ESPACIALLY IN THAT CALIBER GET PLASTIC PISTOL 54378 INSTEAD
>>33293865
Don't waste your time and energy hating them, it does you know good.
Some people just believe they can buy skill, and I think a nation raised on Pokemon style stat comparison games had an unintentional side effect...valuing the tool over the craftsman.
Sure, a glock 19 is probably a better bet than a Smith and Wesson Model 10, but think about it like this, who would you prefer to gunfight...
>chubby suburbanite with latest and greatest whatever
>Special forces veteran with a model 10
Obviously, the better trained guy with actual combat experience is scarier than the guy who just gave the salesman a good day.
>>33293982
It is hard to ignore them when they are in almost every thread, ofc a glock and an ar would be better in a combat scenario than revolver and old bolt action but they always come into threads talking about everything being suboptimal, like the idea of shooting for fun doesn't exist for them. They come into every makarov and tokarev thread
>>33293982
