Hi 4chan I've recently had a mint condition box of .41 Swiss rimfire. I'm trying to figure out the value of the box. Pic related, it's the same brand but worse condition.
>>33580057
A cursory internet search leads me to say $15.00 ish for shitty condition stuff and $19.00 for fairlynokay stuff.
I'd hazard a guess that mint would be around $22.00/23.00.
This would be price per round, just so you know.
Really? I bought it for 100 dollars. The man refused to sell me more unless I bought a rifle. So I'm debating that if I can sell the ammo for enough.
>>33580110
>This would be price per round, just so you know.
No. Just no. If anything 10.4mm Swiss is 2-3 bucks a pop.
the king of fudds
>>33579875
That word doesn't mean what you think it means
What makes you think that, OP?
>>33579875
You're retarded
Why hasn't a semiauto closed bolt model of the AA12 been made yet?
A 12ga shotgun with essentially zero recoil would have great success on the civilian market, at least I assume. I'd buy one.
Old and brittle fudds would love it.
I believe the AA12 was classified to have no sporting purpose, which is why it never came to market. I could be remembering it wrong.
You think that alone would cancel all recoil ?
I'm not sure but I think the USAS-12 has a rotating bolt.
I never understood why more manufactured use this "zero-recoil"-attempt with other weapons.
Vltor did a shy try with their A5 stock though but i think even thats not enough.
As somebody who was once in the US military, but got the fuck out as soon as possible, let me tell you about how truly evil and depraved the military is.
During Basic Training, we were forced to this chant before shooting at the rifle range : "If they're brown, shoot them down!"
At the rifle range, we fired at both adult sized targets and child sized targets. Half the targets were painted as being armed, and half the targets we were supposed to shoot at were painted as innocent civilians holding flowers. We were supposed to shoot at any target, regardless of whether it was armed or unarmed, whether it was an adult or a child.
The only time in Basic Training we were allowed to watch tv was when the news showed reports of Muslim civilians being "accidentally killed" in air strikes. We were forced to scream "yes!" every time the news mentioned an innocent brown person being killed.
As soon as I saw how truly evil and depraved the US military was, I GOT THE FUCK OUT. I went straight to the Drill Sergeants and told them I didn't want to be part of their right wing terrorist organization.
I told them that I REFUSED to kill innocent people of color, and take part in unjustified wars of aggression. The Drill Sergeants responded by tying me up and beating my with their machine guns for ten minutes straight. They told me that I wasn't leaving and that if I ever tried to speak up against their hate and bigotry again, they would murder me.
I took matters into my own hands, and jumped out the window at night while the Drill sergeants were asleep. This was the second floor, and fortunately I landed in some bushes. I ran the fuck away from the base I was at, and have not returned to this day.
Every Time any American expresses admiration for the military, I fucking VOMIT. I was in for long enough to see that the US military is a white supremacist terrorist organization, just as bad as Daesh.

1/10 shitty pasta
.......ok?
Poor fag here, been wanting a semi-auto rifle to cover my bases and got an Yugo sks from my friend for $300 burger bucks. How did i do?
>pic related
Also im thinking about doing the "bolt mod" and grinding down a part of my bolt to better accept detachable mags. i know detachable mags may looked down upon when it comes the sks, but i like the option to be able to use the stock box mag and detachable mags if need be. Can /k/ sks owners give me some advice, i have the tools, i dont want to make this gun too tacticool but just make it slightly more modern.
also /sks/ general i guess
I did it to my yugo. It still doesnt really feed as reliably as it should from those sorts of mags though.
>>33579744
If you want a gun that has detachable magazines sell the yugo for 450 and put another 200 into an AK or Vz if you can find them, SKS are good guns but they become shit when you decide to fuck around and get mags that work only some of the time.
>>33579806
>>33579869
I guess the next question is will the bolt grind mod effect usability when using the stock mag? and if my gun has relatively matching numbers should i? Will these yugos ever be worth something or are there too many for that to happen?
Hello /k/.
A co-worker of mine dug this up while building a garden. It was buried about a foot deep.
From what I can tell, it looks like it may have been a break action pistol of some kind, the hammer is too far back to be a revolver.
Any clue as to what it might be? Or how old it is? I know there isn't much to go on since there's no markings that survived the burial, but I thought I'd ask.
>>33579741
it looks like an old cap gun that used the paper rolls of ...poppers/caps? if it were a break action the receiver would be much much thicker.
time stamp whore
>>33579741
It looks like it might be an H&R top break revolver, but it's in far too bad of condition for me to really tell.

Is he any more autistic than any other Airfaggot?
I don't think so. He's the best the Air Force has.
He talks like he's writing an OPR. Everyone who is good at writing an air force OPR talks like a fucking fag because OPR verbage leaks into their normal day to day speech.

I'm thinking getting this as my first gun. Any thoughts, advice, and opinions?
>>33579393
It's beautiful.
You should get the .40 cal problem solver edition
Not OP, but I'm also thinking about getting my own gun but I'm too autistic to go to the range alone
tips?
Is this true?
>>33579350
Is rape cheaper than .22?
Sure is. You can rape anything and anyone for free.
Bullets vary by grain and caliber anywhere from 5¢ to $5
Bullets are pretty cheap, but I guess rape is technically free.
We should start a fundraising campaign to provide free ammo to all insurgent and terrorist groups around the world, to prevent rape. It's really the least we can do.
The fuck is this trailer?
great thread
>>33579207
I don't think that is a trailer.
??? ???
I'm using the black bag laying in the sun method for removing the cosmoline from my gun. Is there anything I can do (other than locking away in my car) to increase the heat levels to remove more cosmoline in less time? I thought about putting the bag under/in a large container to act as a greenhouse.
Oven.
>>33578899
Breathe on it.
>>33578899
Put a towel in the bottom of a bucket and then put your gun muzzle down on the towel.
Then take a hair dryer on high and starting from the chamber hold it about and inch from the gun until the cosmoline melts out.
Have another towel on hand to wipe the excess away.
You will never get all the cosmoline out of the stock unless you refinish it.
I'm getting one of these for a hiking/camping gun. Any thoughts on 3" vs 4"? It's going to be CC so I'm leaning more towards the 3" but I've heard that short of a barrel defeats the point of having a .357 mag as they only pack the punch of a 9mm. Just looking for opinions and/or experiences.
When I was looking at snub revolvers, the ballistics say that out of 2" or less .357 is about the same velocity of .38 spl with more recoil and flash.
In my state you can open carry while hiking, fishing, and camping so I'd personally go for the longest barrel you could.
>But then if you're open carrying why not go with a double stack semi auto and have plenty for self defense?
>>33578527
unfortunately I live in commiefornia. I'll have to dig into the laws some more but I'm pretty sure you can't open carry. This would be more for critter defense than people protection. .357 mag is about the smallest round I'd want to carry in the woods.
>>33578445
>I've heard that short of a barrel defeats the point of having a .357 mag
magnum power comes from great velocity
..common defensive loads like the Hornady 125gr Critical Defense will keep their notably higher velocity (compared to hot 9mm loads out of similar length barrels) out of 4" barrels
i carry a .357mag SP101 with a 4.2" barrel, and (using hot loads) the muzzle flash is still somewhat blinding during dusk/night
tldr 4" hands down
random pic with my gun
Is there any point in me getting a gas mask? I recently played through the Metro seriese, and with the recent habbening I've been thinking about gas masks.
From what i see the only thing worth looking at is the M40 mask the military uses.
Any other "modern" masks worth looking at? Or is it not worth it?
s10 series is a pretty great gas mask if your right handed
you need to practice with them, and the pretty much only reason you'd use them is for teargas or something really rancid like corpse looting/burning. your already fucked in biological attacks or chemical attacks unless you have a clean room.
Russia has the GP9, it's a full face lens so that's a plus, but the filter/hose is right in the center so that sucks for shooting.
The m40 is fine. MSA millennium is just as good as the m40 and can usually be found new on ebay for less than $80. Always try and buy new masks. Dont fall for the 3m shills that will show up in this thread trying to tell you they're better than military masks. Military masks can use the same filters that the 3m commercial masks use with an adapter and military masks have drinking tubes which is important so you dont get heatstroke when doing /k/ stuff in your mask.
looking for a new profile pic thats /k/ related. Any ideas?
funny or not?

better one
Looking forward to buy my first weapon. Can you help me please? In the end I will be the one making the choice, but I won't mind hearing your pov.
Background and overall situation.
>Europe
>I have permit to transport and carry only in designated areas (i.e. ranges); I can but up to 3 short arms (i.e. handguns), some 5-6 sporting rifles and an unlimited number of shotguns
>I'm not a hunter
>I want to do sport shooting, but I don't mind the occasional big calibre
>Absolutely no chance I can go varmint hunting (urban environment)
>Virtually no need for home defense (I know where some of you guys stand, but seriously speaking I saw the stats for my province and no fucking way it's going to happen -- also, legislation is not friendly in this sense; hence, I'm not looking for troubles). I know some of you will say "you never know" or "better with a gun than without it"... but let's consider I am talking in a short term scenario and for the purpose of going to the range
# OPTION 1 #
P10 (air soft pistol 7.5 Joule)
Pros:
>it's the thing I'm better at
>chances of improvement (I saw my results improving day by day)
>ammo is virtually inexpensive
Cons:
>very expensive handgun (up to 1,200 €)
# OPTION 2 #
.22 LR pistol
Pros:
>chances of improvement
>surprisingly cheaper than the P10 one. Can still have good results with a second-hand gun
Cons:
>I'm not as good with this as with the former one
>Ammo slightly more expensive
# OPTION 3 #
Hatsan AimGuard Escort Pump Shotgun (or similar)
Pros:
>cheapest than the other things I listed
>fun
>cool
>potential home defence (but see above)
>can go to a closer range that does skeet and clay shooting (not just 10 m, 25 m and 50 m)
Cons:
>balls are quite expensive
>danger of acting as a reckless n00b?
what shithole do you live where airshit is 1,200 € and needs a permit?
>>33578281
>unironically considering spending 1200€ on airshit
>>33578297
>what shithole do you live where airshit is 1,200 € and needs a permit?
Are you sure you are not a 12 y.o. who knows nothing of guns?
Consider the following:
- if you want to practice P10 (Olympic-tier), a shitty pistol will take you nowhere
- it's not like big calibres thanks to which you can start some decent training with a third-hand P38 Special
- if I'm going to buy a P10 pistol, it'd better be good. Otherwise it is better to rent than to buy a crappy gun for the same price of 1 year rental
