A long time ago someone linked me to a fm website, but i forgot to save it. Now in light of the syria gas attack potentially being a false flag, im wishing i saved it
Does any one on /k have a source for mortar FMs? Specifically for triangulation/counter battery? Pic related
Teach me /k/
Question.
Who is saying that impact is from a chemical weapon and not just artillery.

Hmmmm apparently its confirmed that a gas attack happened, but not from the syrian side. A mortar Shell miles into the rebel controlled area
I have a 5 round Maverick 88 pump I keep beside my bed. Right now I keep these shells in the tube in this order, 3, 9-pellet Winchester super-x 00 buckshot. Then 2, 21-pellet Rio #4 buckshot in the front. The idea being my first 2 shots will be 21 pellets each, better spread and less collateral penetration in case the situation is frantic, but still enough to drop a home invader, also better for my girlfriend if she is the user. If I've already shot twice and still need to keep shooting, I probably have the time to focus and put the 3 heavy 9-pellet shots where they need to go. I also have a side-saddle holding 5 more super-x shells.
Am I stupid for doing this? The #4 shot is nothing to sneeze at.

I didn't buy them as "zombie rounds", they were just regular #4 shot in the clearance bin.
Its kind of weird but I dont really see a problem with this. I was sort of skeptical about #4 but I just watched a gel test and they got 15 inches of penetration through denim.
>>33590141
If 00 buck kicks too much or penetrates too deep, get rid of them and pick a smaller load. If you intend for the #4 buck to be "less lethal", you don't actually fear for your life and you shouldn't be using a deadly weapon.

I'm generally not a fan of this "ammo mixing" but at least you aren't one of those faggots who has: 1 beanbag, then 1 birdshot, than buckshot. I know retards who load their shotguns like that.
Citadel paint on it and wiped it off to let dry. Super proud of it work. Thinking of doing it to war trophy K98K.

Something with normal branding and doesn't look super expensive while you're fucking 10 year old ladyboys.
How milsurp/autistic do you wanna be? Considering you're browsing Varusteleka, I'd assume quite.
I live in a part of Florida with a lot of islands and peninsulas and if society every collapses I want to go innasea instead of innawoods and become a modern day pirate who subsists off of looting and stealing from nearby towns.
What are some readily accessible substitutes for cannons that I could use on a small recreational boat?
>>33589365
50. Bmg
Or you could just cast cannon balls out of lead.
>>33589374
Good idea, I'd have to fire the cannon balls somehow though.
>>33589365
Air compressor bolt throwers. Kinda mad maxish.
What are the white boxes on the table?
>>33589326
Buzzer. They're playing a quiz game.

How many of these people hold dual citizenship to Israel/US? That's the real issue with America
Aimpoint PRO or Comp M4? Optics thread.
>>33589176
is the rest of your rifle 100% Gucci© No Compromise™? if yes then comp.
Comp M4. Buy once cry once. And you can always put it on another rifle if you have super budget shit.
Keep in mind that a big chunk of the price of the M4 is NVG compatibility. If you don't need that, consider getting an ML3 instead.
What is this tit-looking things is called?

Ventilation for the smoking section.
You mean the air intake? Or the cover/filter thingy?
They're air intakes
Hehe, Amerilards are just assmad that they never designed anything this cool

It's not even worth resorting, try getting $50 for it on gunbroker.
>>33588690
it's the only heirloom of my great grandfather, i'd much rather restore it than sell it
So I just bought an M&P15 sport II as my first gun
I am also buying a sightmark ultrashot reflex sight - my question is what kind of riser would I need for it to clear the front sights a bit? Any specific one? I'm on a bit of a budget btw.
ok

So what's the protocol for a first world country if their Navy gets destroyed in combat and they have to defend from an invasion?
>>33588516
Depends entirely on the country you're talking about.
They probably nuke the living shit out of the invading nation because they're in a position where they're trying to survive as a country.
Anyone recommend good documentaries on the Serbian conflict? There was also a diary that someone posted online that I don't have the link for.
The bulk of the Yugoslav Wars weren't fought in Serbia proper. First Slovenia went, in a very short conflict, then the rest of Yugoslavia began to separate. If you're talking about the 1998 to 1999 Kosovo War, then that's toward the tail end of the conflict and it would be easier to start with some information on the breakup of the country and events after 1989 or so.
There's a BBC documentary called the "Dogs of War" which deals with a select group of volunteers in Croatia in 1991/2. I have my own feelings on the documentary and some of the characters in it, but it's well made (much better than the stuff the BBC produce these days) and it's a good starting point.
I was in Croatia and Croat Bosnia in 1991 and into 1992, so if you have any questions about that period of the conflict in the Balkans fire away.

a bit dry but some good combat footage
Seriously. America has a fleet of gigantic, vastly expensive and complex ships. They require 5000 crew each. They require vast facilities. They require vast amounts of complex, expensive and time-consuming maintenance which render them unavailable for long stretches of time. Each requires a mini-fleet of destroyers, frigates, cruisers and subs to protect them. If one is lost then enormous damage will be done to national pride which may result in nuclear war. They are vulnerable to a new generation of ship-killing missiles against which there is little effective defence.
Why? To put a few dozen aircraft into the air to fire missile and drop bombs on an enemy, usually an unsophisticated enemy with few of no air-defences and presenting no submarine threat.
What does an aircraft carrier do that can't be done with missiles? Why not replace them with what is basically a big cargo ship packed full of Tomahawks and ballistic missiles?

When you control the seas, you control the world. Just as true for the British Empire as it is today.

Defense in depth
>>33588263
Because carriers are better offensive weapons at sea than missile boats. Countries like Russia and Germany can get away with it because their naval needs are defensive in nature. Countries like China and America that have an interest in conducting operations far from their shores need carriers to do so reliably.
