Would it be possible to create a small town and deputize everyone in it thus allowing for unrestricted NFA purchase?
>>33587693
Not exactly the same thing, but I think Alaska and Montana already tried to legalize machine guns completely and got bitch slapped by ATF/Feds.
>>33587693
What even constitutes a police force anyway? How does the fed recognize it as such?
quit being a pussy and just do it?
Who cares?

So the USS Gerald R. Ford has finally left port for the first time for builder's trials.

What is /k/'s opinion of this ship and the future of carriers in the US and worldwide?
Bongs built 2 carriers for half the price of our Ford
I'm not mad just dissapointed
>>33586417
I see the tugs have moved on from the LCS and are now attacking our carriers. Those devious Russians.

They're both fantastic leaps in capability for both respective navies.
I look forward to the day that we see both a Ford class and QE class side by side.
What gun should I get next?
Poorfag here, just started out and so far I have a Russian SKS and a Makarov I just got a few days ago.
What should I start saving my surplus pennies for next? Not really looking for anything in particular, might get another makarov but I'm not sure. Thoughts?
>>33586037
Get a nice 1911 in .45acp
>>33586037
A Yugo Mauser, or a Mosin if you can find one for cheap.
>>33586037
Ignore those fags and get a surplus cz75 so you can shoot cheap 9mm out of it
During the development of the Tango 51, Tac Ops took a standard 26-inch barrel and cut it down to 18 inches in one-inch increments. Between 10 to 20 rounds were fired at each increment. They found that a 20-inch barrel provides for a complete propellant burn and no velocity loss when using Federal Match 168-grain BTHP, a cartridge that has become something of a law enforcement standard. Going to an 18-inch barrel only resulted in a loss of 32 feet per second (fps).
>Going from a 26-inch barrel to an 18-inch barrel only resulted in a loss of 32 feet per second (fps).
Was thinking of getting a 24" barrel on my next rifle. Should I just get 20" instead?
The store also has a 20" with a threaded end, so I can use a muzzle brake if I want (not available in the 24" without gunsmithing).
>>33585736
Link to source of info? I got a Savage model 10 FCP-SR 20" and regret nothing.

>>33585736
OP here
I can see this being different with slower/faster burning powders.
I imagine a 24-26" barrel would do well with slower burning powders, where 18-20" would do well with a bit of a faster burn
Anyone own a seecamp? Or could suggest a comparibly small pistol? It would be for work carry, shirt is tucked so iwb is tough, leads me to pocket carry but I dont want to feel like I have a brick in my pocket all day.
I'm not crazy about the lcp, but I could be swayed
>>33585661
keltec p32 has been my daily for 8 years now. no issues.
if you want a seecamp make ure it's a very new production one. they lost all their experienced workers ~2012 and they just recently recovered from it by contracting out.

How can something so impractical be so awesome?
>>33585364
Because if we find impractical concepts, we only make/put thought into the most awesome ones.
>>33585364
>impractical

>How can something so impractical be so awesome?
They weren't always impractical. Before the proliferation of aircraft they were a perfectly legitimate component of your defensive structure.
/k/ I really like the idea of machine pistols, something about the idea of spraying your load like a threatened skunk just makes me laugh.
So that said, with the proper tax stamps and paperwork how do well do the select fire sear kits for glocks work? Are they worth it? Anyone with experience that can comment?
>Inb4 enjoy your grenade

there are enough videos on YT showin them working reliable

>So that said, with the proper tax stamps and paperwork how do well do the select fire sear kits for glocks work? Are they worth it? Anyone with experience that can comment?
in the USA there is no tax stamp you can purchase to get a legal full auto GLOCK
it's a post 86 machine gun, you can never have one
Will my dogs hate me if I ever have to shoot a home intruder?
I have two dogs that sleep in my room, and I constantly worry that if some dindu breaks in and enters my room, that my eventual mag dump will deafen them and make them all sorts of fucked up.
>>33585172
My black lab sleeps at my feet every night. Luckily I started shooting over him when he was 8 weeks old so he doesn't care about guns outside, inside might change his mind though. He's fucked if the intruder has a vacuum.
>>33585172
Have you considered gun training your dogs? It's not that hard. Dogs are pretty forgiving as long as they know who's in charge and what's expected of them.
>>33585172
depends on what your dog is
if your dog is a tiny shaking bark machine with any kind of pommeranian or yorkie in it then you failed as a man
