Hi, I want to take commission .
For a simple character - 20$, with background - 30$.
This is literally the worst place to offer commissions

Selling character designs you made for money. Has anyone gotten good cash out of this? I see some little anime chibis going for 70$ sometimes
>>2557921
I saw someone sell one for $240

I don't get it. What are adoptables or whatever? Just different colored versions of lineart? You pay for it then what? What do you do with the picture that wasn't even made for you?
how's this vapourwave art?
>>2556406
kill yourself.
>>2556406
its faux vaporwave, an inconsistent imitation
How should I put legs on this drawing? Original artist dropped off the map, and I have to provide my own fix.
The bodily proportions melt my brain in all the right ways, but I don't know legs can attach to them. I don't even know which way her feet are pointing.

kek
Problem solved.
Im not used to drawing digitally on a tablet. Whats a good way of improving your hand coordination? also what do you think of drawing?
>>2554353
dont make fun of blacks
>>2554472
Why not? Are you gay?
>>2554353
lmao
Does anyone here know how light and reflections work? Because I'm stupid and can't do anything right...
>>2558130
What's your problem? The reflection is just the form mirrored.
>>2558151
Clearly not; look at the dang picture.
The legs are pretty much exact mirrors, the as you go further (chest) it becomes squigly and then farthest off (head & back) it breaks off into lines. Think how a shocks fades as it gets farther from the source, and extends depending on the light source position, the reflection is effected by it distance from reflected and the movement of the agua.
honestly don't frequent this board often, current art major currently planning a like performance piece and wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with anything like stage direction, installations or video works..
This is bait and I don't care. Do you go to SAIC?
>>2557896
no lol not bait also

So those LED lights are not actually dimable, but you can dim them by turning them on and off really fucking fast. 50% duty cycle, 50% brightness. If you move an LED quickly this can be perceived, but this doesn't happen to incandescent sources.
Just find the speed at which turning/moving in front of an object causes this jarring to be perceived and you have a neat contrast to play with.
Holy shit anon, if you have atleast 2 functional arms, paper and pencil you have no fucking excuse to not be drawing.
Go and practice but first pay attention to the critics and read books, don't go in autopilot because you will commit the same mistakes.
Don't waste your fucking time and learn from every error.
But i steal wifi and i don't have a computer how am i going to learn and take critic if i just have a phone with android 2.x.x?
You can't do shit without money, don't be a fucking moron.
I got a family to support though.

Just do it as a hobby then.

What would be forming this shape?
Is it the scapula, the serratus or the teres mayor?
>>2557742
here is another example of the same muscle i think, im still not sure what forms its shape :(
>>2557742
>>2557769
There are 3 muscles placed on the scapula down there.
I don't understand...
Do these people just don't use construction lines or is it just this guy?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQUYZk8VwQo
Do all anime animators not use construction lines?
If so, how do they transition from construction?
Pic unrelated but MOOOOOOOOO
Those are pretty simple drawings. When you get good enough you won't have to draw out a bunch of boxes and cylinders, you'll just see them on the page.
Construction what?
Nice cow girl BTW
thoughts.

Cool

From the thumbnail I couldn't distinguish what it was other than some lines. The fingers look like awkward legs and having them float there just looks boring and kind of stupid. Including the whole hand might have been better, adding weight to the piece other than having simple objects to just lay there.
so which is a better buy?
the Wacom Cintiq?
or Microsoft Surface Pro 4?
>>2550346
Cintiq, they've been making this shit for decades, MS just recently entered the market. It's expensive, but the quality is top notch, great colour accuracy, pen precision, reliability and durability, better drawing surface too. I have a Cintiq 13hd for 2 years and it still working great.
>>2550346
>get a cintiq
>lasts forever if you're careful
>get a surface pro
>lasts for like 5-6 years if you treat it very nicely, and you have to spend more money on a new one
27" 2560 x 1440 screen from Dell = $800.
27" 2560 x 1440 screen that you can draw on from Wacom = $2300 + another $400 for a stand.
Wacom, please...
Looks like its sold out right now actually. Maybe they're getting ready to release a new one. Hopefully the new competition from Microsoft and Apple brings the prices down.
All right thread for reviewing each other's works.
I'm going to start it off with mine, It's mostly cartoony but I don't know tell me what you think and post your own too.
Read the sticky, go to the beginners thread, and lurk moar.
Pan Pizza, get outta here and stop with all the painful neons everywhere! Less is more, friendo. You might be onto something with the stylization but you need to hit the basics and realistic rendering harder so you can actually use that line weight to make sense visually. You need the sticky bucko! I'm only replying because I'm happy to see any Ghostbusters fanart.
>>2556963
You're great at design, with a lot of good use of negative space and line thickness that emphasizes the characters forms. Just work on your colors, which are way too basic and garish. I would also exaggerate the poses more: the characters feel as if they can't fully extend their limbs.
I've been drawing everyday for around a year and learning mostly alone, but recently I've been feeling very unsure and lost about what the hell I'm supposed to do.
I can still see improvement, but I feel like I should seek a teacher, and I don't know where or who to seek.
Besides... Things are getting harder at home, and my parents want me to stop dedicating so much time drawing, so I guess I have to decide quickly whether keep going or to try another career... I believe I could start working professionally with illustrations in around 4-5 years, and that might be a long time.
>>2555576
What other career do you have in mind? Everyone and their brother wants to do IT now. Technology will be crowded to the brim just like how the uber industry will have too many uber drivers.
>>2555617
I thought about working translating stuff or as an English professor (it's not my native language btw). I've been thinking about going to Arts college or another major, too.
>>2555617
Well, I never thought much about other careers besides illustration or something involving languages, so that's all I've been thinking; college is free in my country, so it wouldn't be a problem paying for it, I just have to think about what to do.
You have 20 minutes to draw a quality gondola going about his daily life.
H-hello?
>>2532543
sorry, I couldn't make it in time ;_;
>>2532547
Post it anyway
