Let me see your OC people
My home is the /beg/inner thread, so sorry for my visual diarrhea in advance. I'm just proud of this because I didn't use a reference (for the most part).
>>2546975
I'm fucking horrible at drawing my OCs but there's one I've been meaning to draw again lately. Imma watch this thread for inspiration.
>>2546975
blog?
Can we have a general patreon thread? Any questions, tips, rants you have about it, it's welcome.
At 8k followers on tumblr and 3.5k on DA I'm considering it.
>>2555108
how did you get so many followers and how long did it take?
>>2555108
post your work.

>Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
>Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped. Also, eat your vegetables.
>If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

Does- does she look retarded?
>>2549438
Not as retarded as she did in the swamp, but still a bit. It's the far eye, cover it up and she looks normal. Also I'm laughing at the scene. Is she sending bees at them?
^^ this is looking amazing, i really like the look it
What's this painting from bates motel called? Does it even have a name? I'd really like to buy the piece or a copy and hang that shy on my wall
>>2555104
Another picture showing the full portrait
>>2555104
the painting it's shit
the composition, lighting and color in the pic you posted on the other hand... makes it more worthy of handing on a wall
>>2555104
it might be made just for the show. try looking up prop design for the show, is there anybody listed in the credits who you could look into?
Hey /ic/, I really really need your help with this! I am trying to draw a large map for a board game, but it needs to be drawn in isometric and it needs to be stylized. I can manage to draw like, a single island this way, but an entire continent + some nearby islands just becomes an out of perspective mess when I draw it. It always ends up looking like a bunch of areas in slightly different perspectives mashed together.
So please, any tips, or even better tutorials or references would be GREATLY appreciated!
This is pretty much what I mean. Game in question is Angry Birds Epic.
And the full map.. looks messy but I would pretty much like to achieve this perspective with less detail, so it's easily readable...

You have all the needed info here, do you want someone to make it for you? Just look at the fucking images and start learning.
I want to make this nice painting for my boyfriend off of this picture he took but i just hate the way the large brown tree looks, how can I make this look better?
Watch more Bob Ross on youtube
>>2554728
That's literally all i've been doing, he gives me no help on detailed branched trees
>>2554714
The tree is all one color, but thats not how real trees work. If you look at a tree outside, you see a lot of different colors. The one Contour is also too symmetrical.

I'm having trouble capturing facial features, such as noses, eyes, etc. Anybody got good images to study or videos to share? (Mostly noses, They're quite underrated and i want to get better at them)
Also, Face Thread.

and draw 50 of each feature from reference and imagination. 100 times

Is this repeat until dawn really effective
I'm gonna do it nonetheless
Are there any books or in depth videos on designing and making puppets?
>>2550502
Also, I don't really know if this is the right place for this sort of question. I assumed that creating puppets has more to do with traditional art and in some ways puppeteering has quite a few similarities to traditional animation.
>>2550502
I flipped through a friend's copy of "The Foam Book" by Drew Allison once and found it to be a pretty good resource, especially for beginners. Alas, I can't seem to find it online anywhere for a reasonable price. Wish I could, I would love a copy of my own.
>>2551009
Man, you weren't kidding. It isn't on any torrent site either. I guess the artform has been dead for a while and isn't nearly as popular as traditional or digital animation.
Why.
>>2554760
It gets me hard, that's why. Also it's like second thread started with "Analwatch" pic, I'm starting to suspect you are shilling for it.
>>2554760
I was in the stream, people were joking about doing something like that so he created that quickly as an alternate version of his original.
>>2554820
Really? That's pretty cool, he seems like a pretty cool guy.
Hey, does anyone have a like, mega link to a bunch of figures I can practice drawing?

quickposes.com
>just a warm up for commissions
I see this way too often.
Why is literally every novice, amateurish, or other bad young online artist getting into commissions before they're even decent?
It's not even that there's a market for it. There's no demand. They're just jumping straight into "I take commissions uwu," whether they get a bite on their hooks or not. It's like a persistent thing.
>>2554239
Because
>there is no point where you can say, "okay, I KNOW drawing and have everything nailed down".
>it's good practice, with some pocket money to boot
>You gotta start selling your work yourself sooner or later. If you wait until you're sakimichan (can't think of anyone else atm) levels of good for 10 bucks a pop, you suck at money.
>>2554239
>Why is literally every novice, amateurish, or other bad young online artist getting into commissions before they're even decent?
Because they're novice, or amateurish.
>>2554263
It's bad taste though.
Basically this unicorn is one of a couple new characters I created (for my own animated videos), how did I do?
you did so good!!!
I LOVE IT OMG, but the eyes needs more light reflection so it can be really ~kawaii~ uwu
Thanks this newer character is actually featured quite a few of my newest animations! So far many of my other friends seem to like the look!
Who here gets depressed because they believe their worth in this world is based on being a creative artist, and you come here and realize that you are not special in any of the ways you thought you were?
>>2549271
>getting depressed because you're not a special snowflake
hahahaha really anon
>>2549271
Don't try to be special, try to be exceptional.
I base my self worth on my personal happiness, which is far more within my control than external circumstances such as my career or what other people think of me.
Hi guys, a while ago I started painting these weird doodles. I know they look ridiculous..:) Anyways, I wanted to hear some of your thoughts about them, bash 'em if you like too lol.
Cheers
