I know that feel
>Your drawing is pretty bad, everything is wrong, study more, bye
Second attempt at my first painting. Still not happy, buy feel much improved.
Vast improvement, did you end up doing the under drawing like you said you might?
Everything looks better, the mountain looks more realistic, the perspective on the shorelines looks a ton better, the water reflections and the trees look better too.

Good going OP!
Alright lads give me the lowdown.
Am I going to need a degree if I want to work in the entertainment industry doing art?
What do you think?
No. You need a good portfolio. Still do get a good degree for when you give up and find yourself starving in the streets though.
Art as a career is not a choice for most people as it is right now. We already have enough good artists and they themselves don't get paid much.
If by art you mean illustration, as in illustrator/concept artist for the entertainment industry, probably not. If I art you mean whats academically accepted as art nowdays globally, then your chances are probably bigger with a degree unless youre loaded, very charming or are close with somebody with contacts.
Post your nsfw, critique work and so on.

ok, let's see which one of the previous threads illustrations (originals) do you find more appropriate for the op image.
Just let me prepare my sides for melting. Ok, ready. Go!

Shit. I always forget I shouldn't reply to jelly idiots who can't even draw.
Hey guys, I just finished a Survey of the Arts class and for our final we had to go to the Cantor Art Center at Stanford and recreate a piece of our choice.
I chose to recreate "The Thinker" out of clay.
Pic related, the original artwork my rendition is based upon. Will post my work in a second post.
>>2274708
This is my first ever clay piece, or any piece for that matter. What kind of grade do you guys think I'll get?
the professor is also pretty hot and I don't have a gf.

This is the side view of my art piece.

I wouldn't follow anything by a guy who still draws the same way for 10 years with only minor improvements to his workflow. Follow it if you want to be pointychins 2.0.
dude Sycra fucking sucks
>>2274617
He draws much better right now. His style is just ugly
I want to have a website where I could constantly upload stuff I draw
What website should I use for doing that?
Or should I make my own domain?
Tumblr, instagram, deviantart?
Are you new to the internet?
>>2274598
tumblr is sketchy with SJW. Deviantart has a lot of shittty shit. instagram is okay, but you cant post anythind sexual.
ae you new?
>>2274599
>tumblr is sketchy with SJW
They can't kill you.
I've spent a long time on Loomis and others and feel like I have a rudimentary grasp on drawing heads. How do I start figure drawing that isn't just drawing what I see but understanding the construction?
Who is the Loomis of figure drawing and how do you keep from getting overwhelmed by learning the construction of every part of the body?

Well, I was painting this with a lot of inspiration, I painted the background and thought it would be great to add some sort of "shaded" mountains, so I started to paint them and when I realise... I just fucked up all my previous work, I'm frustrated. Can someone help me out with ideas?
How can I fix that?
>>2274368
Keep painting. Make a river or something.
>>2274370
But where!? I just can't see it I'm so stuck
Use references for moutains, it's just look like fucking triangles
Does /ic/ have enough feels to fill a third thread?

>focusing what I can now on getting gud

I'm fucked
>>2274304
Will I make it...
painting with guache right now.
anons how much water should i use? if i use a lot of water it of course gets quite diluted, but if i don't it feels like i'm eating up paint at 20 mph and i'm no rich artist.
halp
use a middle amount of paint.
>>2274301
spray
When you mix gouache with water you want the consistency of melted ice cream. It gives you a solid clean coat.
Hey guys I'm really color blind, and I can't tell what colors are being used on Raidens skull suit. If anyone could tell me that would be great.
>>2274152
Blue, Light blue, black, dark blue and for the hair light yellow.
if you're that color blind how do you know there are several colors involved here?
>>2274161
Colors have temperature and value to me and I can tell most of the time when different colors are occurring. Orange and green sometimes are the same color, blue and purple was a huge problem when I was a kid, I paint green people.

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

So, we had this pic (pic related), in last thread, but you, Firez, chose to post that one for drawthread header, for some reason. Well, that's just great, isn't it.
Hidden hands, boring gesture, plain face, just lines.
>>2274113
>hurrdurr why didn't you post my pic that i was so proud of hurrrr
fuck off faggot.
>>2274117
What a rational response.
What pen Da Vinci used to create drawings like pic related? How he and other artists were able to obtain such slim lines with ink, such thin traces? I am using a 0,4 millimeter pen and yet the trace is not that thin.
So, what tools did Leonardo used the most in his notebooks (I know that sepia ink is the thing responsible for that brownish-red color, but what pens), and what are the best drawing pens I can buy for a reasonable price today (pens with a very slim line)?
>>2274071
Did he not use a Staedtler 0.05 mm Pigment Liner?
>>2274071
They used something called a silverpoint stylus back then.
basic hard round, it's all you'll ever need
Is giving a painting as a gift a good thing? I was thinking of painting something for a qt but I'm not sure if it would be awkward or not. I have no money and she says she likes Monet. It seems really difficult to replicate though.
Its a great idea if you want to be an orbiter
>>2273941
What if she's my gf?
>>2273934
Only if she is your girlfriend or if you're dating exclusively. Have you penetrated her mouth and anus on multiple occassions yet? If not, NO gifts.
