Hi /g/entoo

I'm a bit new to this RAM business, but I want to upgrade my desktop from 1600MHz to 2133MHz DDR3, to try and make my OC'd i5 2500k last a bit longer.
My mobo is GA-P67A-UD3 and I've narrowed the ram down to these:
F3-2133C11D-16GXL
F3-2400C11D-16GAB

Both are pretty much the same price, but I am not sure which one would be better for me. Please advise
>>
Why would a thread reaching a bump limit warrant a new thread?
Doesn't the thread allow for a lot more posts and images, even if it isn't getting bumped?
>>
>>56040802
sqt already runs a high risk of have multiple concurrent threads going, letting it fall to higher page numbers would increase that risk, i'd imagine

Add a 1tb hdd into that puppy and you're good to go honestly. It's almost impossible to find the nitro 480 but if you got it, hey great man.
The mini gtx 1060 is easier to find though, and can be had for $249, which is actually cheaper than the 480 nitro.

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

I want a dual-boot setup with Win7 and Xubuntu with their own dedicated data partitions (D: and /home, respectively) and a shared one (S:).
I understand I should install Windows 7 first. Should I partition the drive beforehand using GParted as shown in the pic, or should I just create the Win partitions with the built-in tool during installation, then the Linux partitions when I install Xubuntu?

I can't drag a tab from firefox to the tab bar in another window and have the tab move to that window. It just opens a new one.

Any suggestions? KDE on Debian Testing
>>
>>56047425
If you're already there, just do it now. It won't hurt anything, and you can just install to the partition and specify the swapspace in the installation.

Avoid any manager that stores your shit in the cloud. KeePass or KeePassX should be good enough, just make sure nobody gets a hold of your database.

have any of you fine gentlemen used this piece of hardware? it seems to be a cheaper alternative to the "razer core" and pretty good (from ytube vids) for average gaming.

This isnt TB3. Most laptops dont have a mini pcie socket
>>
>>56043766
Even if your laptop has a mini PCIE(only one lane) slot, the lack of bandwith is going to bottleneck your eGPU. On top of that most laptops only have one mini pcie slot so you won't be able to use wifi. Laptop CPUs aren't as powerful as desktop ones so don't expect desktop tier performance.
