Could ARMchips become a new meme on laptops/desktops ?
Do you think they could be good for the free software movement ?
As far as I know ARM is not really supporting free software, is it true ?

ARM on desktops won't happen until there is actual desktop software written for them. ChromeOS supporting Android might help speed this along. But it will still take years before apps are as useable with a keyboard and mouse as they are with a touchscreen.

Well most GNU/Linux distros already support arm
something like a pi2 with a better cpu and 2GiB of ram is ok for home users
add in a video accelerating gpu for your movies and you're comfy
