Last Windows I really used was XP and I decided it was time to check out the current offerings from Microsoft so I set up a W10 VM with QEMU.
You're doing great Microsoft!
>first start was pretty smooth
>memory compression
>Linux subsystem for Windows
>you can disable IE11 and windows media player
>nice menu for preferred applications
>pinning programs to taskbar
>left, right maximization
I guess they will never change Windows.
>all programs still seem to have their own update management
>all the guides to do x are screencaps of nested menus, no CLI option
>no stackoverflow -like Q&A site for user problems, just random formus with unhelpful answers
Seriously, Microsoft?
>would you like to send all the data to Microsoft? yes [], i guess so [ ], no but really yes after update [ ]
>would you like to join Windows update swarm as a peer?
>Windows store doesn't have any software I'd like to install
>settings AND control panel
>changing screen resolution is under advanced options
No way I'm letting this on ring -1 but in a VM it seems ok. I was planning on setting up a GPU passthrough but I'm not quite there yet. Any cool features I should check out on the Windows 10 that I've missed?
Appearently people are having trouble with it freezing after the anniversary update anon.
no way im ditching xp (posready 2009) after 15 years if it's still supported, i know this baby inside and out
what is this?
