Should zi still go for a 6p?
My current phone is a nexus 4 and I found 6p for 379 euros. I was planning to wait for the new nexus but they will probably be 600 700 at release
Is there a reason to not consider the 6p?
Honestly just wait for the new one. I currently have a Nexus 6P and it gets extremely hot. Snapchat opened for 5 minutes makes me able to roast marshmallows with the screen. The battery life is no more then 4 hours of screen on time after half a year. I honestly would just wait to see what comes out.

I have an assignment to do where I need to write 5 blogs about html.
I am not good with html and as such I don't really know what to write about.
What are some html related topics that someone who sucks at html can easily talk about?
>>56023907
You can talk about visual shit, look up html coding best practices and write about proper indentation. Maybe find some obscure commands or elements and talk about how they saved you time and increased your dick size.

Thanks.
Just say how the file tree needs to be organized or something
Why hate Ubuntu? What's so bad about it since 16.04? Seems pretty stable to me.
>>56023779
It's Windows tier botnet.

Hello /g/entlemen,
So, how would I get into writing my own AI? Do you have any programming languages, libraries and or resources you can recommend?
Even better, do any other devs here have any experience with developing their own AI?
>>56023769
First thing, do you know how to program? If not, learn an object oriented language.
Second, are you in university? It would be worth using their academic resources and asking the computer science professors. Thru love that shit.
Third, if you want to learn about it for fun there are a couple of communities that do AI, but the easiest one to get into as an amateur is the gaming community. The others may be more pragmatic and have a higher barrier to entry. Gl, hf.
>>56023937
>Can you program?
I've been a software dev for the last 6 years.
>Are you in uni?
No.
The third one you mentioned seems to be worthwhile, but most of these gaming communities seem to be cancerous.
Anyway, I still am looking for more replies other developers.
Do you know anything past basic mathematics? If not good luck
This drive says I don't have permission to access it and seems to have appeared a few days ago. It's called SYSTEM and is my F drive.
What on Earth is this? Have I been hacked by Russian spies? Am I being bitmined or whatever?
Shit.
>>56023714
did you try unplugging and plugging it back in?
Why do you waste everyone's time with this shit.
>>56023730
lol. It's a laptop, I don't think this drive exists.

Depends on the game, but on average they're more or less the same.

So I broke the cable on my HyperX Cloud headphones and im trying to fix it with another wire i have laying around. I stripped the wires and all and connected them together to which i believe is correct and it still doesnt work. Ive done this before with other headphones and its worked fine but cant get this to work. theres a copper, a blue, and a green wire.
Sorry if this is in the wrong area or whatnot.
The wires are insulated retard
>>56023358
So a stripped wire that shows bare wire is still insulated.

Yes try to flame the tip or scratch it gently with a knife

im looking for a 200-250 laptop for my last semester at uni. i was getting by with an acer c720 with linux, although everything we're doing last semester is all microsoft environment, and the c720 lags too much when remoting into a pc.
any suggestions? considering the toshiba chromebook 2 2015, or the acer c740, i've read that they can both run windows 10 fine if they have 4gb ram, and all i really need is to be able to run visual studio without any serious issues. i'd prefer not to get a 15" also, so these two seem to be good options.
anyone have experience with win10 on a chromebook? i've heard photoshop runs fine on them, so i'd imagine visual studio should be doable on one of the ones i mentioned above, although if anyone knows of any other cheap windows laptops in that price range, im all ears

then just run windows on the c720. Look on leddit, they actually have the details on how to run it. The c720 is impressively flexible as far as a >300 dollar purchase goes.
Have you ever lied about a problem with a product to return it our get a replacement?
I recently got a new IPS monitor for the work I do but it came with two dead pixels near the center of the screen and it's driving me crazy. I can't get a replacement with only two dead pixels so I said that I was also having issues turning the monitor on occasionally. I was given a return label but the company said they'll investigate the "issue" when it arrives.
Could I get called out on this?
>>56023058
People return monitors for dead or stuck pixels all the time.. Why would you lie about it?
>>56023136
Actually most companies require a minimum amount of dead pixels to eaten a return. For example Asus only allows a return if a monitor has six or more dead pixels.
This is why you befriend people in retail. Got a friend at Microcenter, I bought three IPS monitors for eyefinity then an additional 144Hz Freesync monitor.
The Freesync monitor had two dead pixels, I told him about it and I brought it back to the store and we opened up other ones testing and found one that worked 100% without any defects and I took that one home.
Some months later one of my IPS panels developed a stuck pixel, it would come and go, but again I spoke to a friend from Microcenter and we exchanged it no problem.
Next time you're at a store and a retailer is overly talkative, engage them, strike up conversations with common ground.
Not ideally useful for the office, but some fun scripts for home use... Can we get a thread going?

All machines meant for daily use have storage devices in RAID1.
All daily use machines are configured for incremental backup via Bacula. The machine running Bacula is itself set up with drives in RAID1, and is located several miles away at a higher elevation than the primary devices.
I write it all up by hand and put in a safety deposit box at my local bank.
