im looking for a 200-250 laptop for my last semester at uni. i was getting by with an acer c720 with linux, although everything we're doing last semester is all microsoft environment, and the c720 lags too much when remoting into a pc.
any suggestions? considering the toshiba chromebook 2 2015, or the acer c740, i've read that they can both run windows 10 fine if they have 4gb ram, and all i really need is to be able to run visual studio without any serious issues. i'd prefer not to get a 15" also, so these two seem to be good options.
anyone have experience with win10 on a chromebook? i've heard photoshop runs fine on them, so i'd imagine visual studio should be doable on one of the ones i mentioned above, although if anyone knows of any other cheap windows laptops in that price range, im all ears

then just run windows on the c720. Look on leddit, they actually have the details on how to run it. The c720 is impressively flexible as far as a >300 dollar purchase goes.
