You risk going to prison if you try to stick that shit into someone's phone, mate.
So, I'm starting to think that a very large computer monitor is better for me than two 20" monitors. I get up in the morning to code, and I feel like my monitors aren't big enough. What's a good size/ brand/ price combo for something at least 30"?
What about an ultrawide?
Or one monitor horizontal, one vertical off to the side?
should have put this in sqt though

use a WM that uses virtual desktops, you nigger
Get some Dell Ultrasharp
The CPU fan in this pic-related Foxconn mini-barebone isn't silent enough. What do I need to know to find a better replacement?
The label says Foxconn <barebone reference> <fan reference> made in China <power characteristics>, and I can use these references to find the exact same part from the same constructor on the net, but I'd rather find a better (but obviously compatible) fan from a different maker.
The copper part is the heatsink BTW.
>>56131871
Honestly you'll have a hard time finding a proper fan that's any better.
I wanted to replace a fan in a laptop that was very similar to that. Basically you will find extremely limited options, and the only way you'll get one with less noise is to have it move less air in most cases.
>>56131913
Aww, man! That's bad news! :(
>>56131913
OP again, I've just found out the processor's socket: FT1 aka BGA413 where BGA means that the CPU is permanently mounted to the motherboard and 413 is the number of contacts.
I am not able to find a CPU fan for this socket online (beside the exact same part from the same manufacturer, as mentioned previously).
Plus, StackExchange informs me that "Unfortunately, boards with soldered onboard CPUs typically don't have a standard CPU cooler hole pattern. I highly doubt that you will be able to find an aftermarket cooler designed specifically for this board or CPU."
So it seems like you're right indeed! No better fan for me. :(

Hi, I am the Xiaomi notebook air shill from yesterday. I will probably post xiaomi until I can create an awareness on /g/ so you can stop wasting thousands of dollars on any ultrabook. Yes, only $500

stop overpaying for NSA to sneak upon your every move. at least chink botnet won't be harmful for your life, NSA marks you forever that might ruin your life in USA or nato-slave countries like the whole EU.
>>56131823
Shit chink build quality
No local customer care
Chinks are in a Jew level of fucking you over
Fuck off this shit.
>>56131823
thanks for the aware brah
I will consider XIaomi when I need a new notebook. I think between the NSA and CHINK-NSA - or as I've started calling it: CHINK+NSA - the latter is the lesser evil
>>56131923
>macbook gets broken
>$500 bill
just buy another xiaomi if you can't fix it your own, heh, it's cheap.
build quality is above chink standards if you watch the videos and tests.
I'm taking a p hard science class this semester.
The class comes with a lab manual.
I went to the publisher's website and found the answer key to the lab manual for sale "for instructors only."
Basically, on top of paying $35 you had to be able to prove you were a college professor teaching this publisher's material in your course.
Without much effort at all (seriously, I'm a fucking retard and I can't believe what I tried fucking worked holy SHIT) I gained access to the complete answer key in .pdf format ON THE PUBLISHER'S SITE. All I did was look at the source code for the link, pick out a .pdf, and copied it into the URL bar. And there it was.
Anyway, I have the file up in a tab right now and I'm prepared to download it but I'm afraid I could be traced and ultimately identified and thrown out of class/barred from ever getting in to this program again
Can I be traced/caught by doing this?
Is there any risk?
Thanks.

>Anyway, I have the file up in a tab right now
Then it is already downloaded.
Download it desu.
Nothing lost, and worse comes to worse, blame your neighbor.
What publisher?

What is with companies and childish logos these days?
Looks like someone was just meshing around with shift and the brush tool in photoshop for two minutes.
the smaller logo looks like some guy banging a girl doggystyle
So, as the title says, I can't start up with my graphics card plugged in.
I started it like 1 hour ago, all went fine, I started CS:GO and after 2 minutes after idling in the menu, pc froze, some weird noise in my headphones and I restarted my pc.
It doesn't boot up.
I removed the graphics card power from my PSU, plugged it back in the onboard graphics card. Works fine.
Could my PSU have not enough power to start with my graphics card again ? or the graphics card broken just like that ?
i got a 470W PSU and my video card is a HD 7770.
First time posting here, tought you guys can give me some help.
video card is kill.
>>56131612
>AMD
Found the problem.
>>56131725
I fucking knew i should've went with gtx 650, tought this one's better, comparing stats.
So the video card just broke on me, right ?
so.. this happened. This is from a plastic injector machine, unnamed model. Anyone have a clue on where I can find something like this to replace this?
just solder it back together... i'm sure it will be fine
>>56131616
.. the plastic is completely burned through lmfao.
>>56131616
oh shit that reminds me
>connect a fan header the wrong way
>turn pc on
>cable literally turns so hot it burns all the plastic shrouding around it off
>take some insulation tape
>put it around the exposed copper wire
>works just fine
lel
is this the only rx480 custom model worth considering ?
MSI is good as well
its shame that sapphire let us down

>that star of david on the backplate
why
>>56132305
At first I thought they actually meant to put a hexagram on the backplate (which is a symbol for braking a seal while pentagram is symbolizing a seal) but then I've heard that they did that as a mistake.
Does anyone have the up to date /g/ programming challenges?

Servers at work and my mobile phone.
speed. i have the need, the need for speed.
I need a new external hard drive for backups. What brands/models have the best data integrity and I/O speeds for the money?
probably looking for a 2-5tb drive.
thanks anon
>>56131235
WD. Always WD.
>>56131235
Western Digital, Sandisk, Ot if you aren't broke, and it doesn't need to be super portable, get a NAS grade Western Digital SAS disk, slow speed, and build your own external HDD
>>56131235
the anons are right, WD is a good choice - see the passport series
I've been lurking /g/ for roughly 4 years now
On a variety of the well known "hacker" forums I'm relatively well respected (I've got over 60 positive rep on evilzone, hackforums etc.)
But I can't stand the skiddies and "White hat" fedora wearing douchebags. I want a forum where people odn't have to praise the founder like he's a reincarnation of Jesus just to keep him from banning you for asking for a link to _______
What's a decent forum, even invite only. I know a guy that claims to have been on dark0de but I doubt he was legit.
Forgot to add, I'm not some skid looking to get into the most 1337 forum on earth hoping 4chan would help me. I'm just looking for somewhere like stack exchange where everyone isn't completely autistic/ have decent threads
>>56131229
>forums
If you mean "forum" in the traditional bulletin board sense that's probably your major mistake.
>>56131229
>hackers
>not autistic
You're in for a treat
