Will this shitty online marketplace ever be replaced?
What's so shitty about it?
>buy it now, auction, sometimes both
>great buyer protection
>metric buttload of items for sale
>>56322863
>takes a huge cut of the buyer's payment unless you're a powerseller
>buyers rarely leave feedback
>can't filter search results by individual countries
>mobile app getting worse every patch
>>56322978
>takes a huge cut of the buyer's payment unless you're a powerseller
Well it is a business.
>buyers rarely leave feedback
That's in no way eBay's fault.
>can't filter search results by individual countries
You can filter it to your country, don't see why you'd want anything else.
>mobile app getting worse every patch
>not using the website
I think i have unintentionally installed malware. Im trying to uninstall this program without reformatting. Any Suggestions?

Do you enjoy the warmth of a sheet of paper right after it is printed, or the warmth of a disc after it is read or burned at high speeds?
Do you touch it against your face?
Do you prefer the smoother surface and smell of the paper, or do you find the harder surface and stronger smell of the disc to be more pleasurable?
Whenever you open a new product, do you like to feel that fresh smell of of the packaging and manuals?
Do you like the fresh, cold feeling of the contact of your cheeks against a heat sink? Do you prefer that over the warmth of the printed paper/burned disc?
You likely have ASMR.
>>56322862
No. I hate those stupid ASMR videos. It's so retarded it makes me want to punch the people who enjoy it in the face.
This is about tactile sensations.
>>56322648
I love the feeling of warm paper, haven't tried a DVD yet, definitely will though.

is this ok?
can someone help me regarding afraid of being hacked.
i'm homeless so i entirely use public wifi and it seems every spot i'm afraid hackers have gotten into my computer and are using my computer in a worm net. i've reinstalled windows 10 (completely wiped the partitions etc) about 5 times in the past week and i'm afraid over installation is burning up my hardware. seems like the process is hard on the computer.
i don't know what the fuck to do about this paranoia of not understanding the technology and hatred for black hat hackers. this is not bait this is a plea to learn how to protect myself into the digital age.
i'm not using tails because it was designed by the nsa.

if you're homeless you don't have anything to lose anyway.
>>56322635
i believe you're looking at me in real life how would you know all these things about me without having foreknowledge of who i am?
like i said i'm trying to secure my laptop so hackers can quit spying on me (through the webcam) through the location and background processes of using my computer.
also part of being homeless is learning how to mask the pheromones and the sebaceous oils so other humans won't act with primal animal posturing and behavior. one of the best ways to mask sebaceous oils nad pheromones is not showering and letting it create a barrier.
Solaris (a form of Unix that is not BSD) has taught me the true meaning of mediocrity.
I expected my experience with it to be okay, but it wasn't:
If I had either solaris-desktop or X-all installed, the OS would freeze after syncing file systems, but before actually powering off: what this meant was that the system could not power off on its own. It would even wait a whole five minutes before saying it had a panic, due to nothing occurring for five minutes.
What also irked me was the inability of the package manager to even update packages that came in the default install.
What a disappointment, Oracle.
>using oracle solaris
>not Illumos OpenIndiana
Don't worry OP, one day they will find a cure other than a .22 for retardation.
>>56322472
Sorry to hear about this bad experience, OP-kun. At least you gave it a try and can now say that you did.
>>56322514
Yeah, definitely going to try that next, since I wasn't expecting this to be so bad.
Why are structs and interfaces better than JSON objects?
>>56322370
Because you can define precisely all the parameters constituing all your objects of a same type.
And so this allow you to put in place a nice program architecture, it's better performance-wise and your IDE/text-editor can predicts the paramaters you want to call.
JSON is more used to transmit informations between different platforms : like beween front-end and back-end in web development.
Not better, just completely different. JSON is a string representation for JavaScript objects, a struct or interface is something abstract in a program that tell you how certain data can be structured and what can be done with it.
>>56322370
>Why are structs and interfaces better than JSON objects?
If I'm right in believing you're a JS cuck trying to learn Go, give up. It's too much for your mind.
I've got good programming skills. I've got no ideas. I want to contribute code.
What do? Hunt around bugzilla's and fix random stuff? Are there any websites where you can volunteer to contribute code?
>>56322347
write a program that will find you something to work on.
There was a website where you can sort open github issues by difficulty
write video drivers for linux

Is there an ergonomic mouse tier list?
I actually use a black intellimouse that I had lying around, and it appears to be God tier on several lists, but it isn't ergonomic. I don't need a gaming mouse.
/g/ recommended setup: $200 keyboard and $5 mouse
>>56322255
Do you like my keyboards, an old person gave me the top one.
is that microsoft mouse a meme thing because i've always used one and i don't see what's so special about it
Picking up from the thread I made a few days ago (>>56224091).
If I had to protect my files on the cloud against someone with the ability to break encryption (by somehow finding the password, with a backdoor or 0day in my programs, etc,), would this method work?
>Take secret documents and put them inside a TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt container.
>Use a file scrambler to scramble the data of the unmounted container.
>Put the result inside an encrypted .rar archive that's split into many small parts (let's say 50 files of 10MB each).
>Take the first and last part out and keep them safe somewhere offline
>Take the remaining 48 parts and put them inside an encrypted .7z file (for the practicality of not having to handle 48 different files, but also for the added layer of encryption).
>Scramble that into a new file (not really needed but it makes it look like a random uninteresting file to a potential automated check, so that it doesn't look like an archive that needs to be decrypted).
>Upload that wherever you want.
Even if they had all the passwords/keyfiles I'd have used, to retrieve my secret documents, the attackers would first need to unscramble and decrypt the .7z file, where they would find an encrypted .rar archive with the two main parts missing, so they would need to somehow extract the present data from the incomplete archive (after decrypting it), and they would have a corrupt file with some missing data.
At this point they would need to unscramble it and then try to open the TrueCrypt container that would come out of it (which has missing data at random points in it).
I they manage to successfully get to this point, they would have a corrupt version of my documents (because of the missing data).
My question is: Would they be able to get to the final point and extract the files with the missing data, or they would be stopped at some point by the file being too corrupt to be opened (without the two missing parts)?
(Cont.)
(Continued from >>56322153)
If the files aren't corrupt enough, then is there something I can add/change to the procedure that can make it completely corrupted and mathematically unrecoverable, but also allows me to "un-corrupt" it?
Would keeping more parts of the split .rar archive (maybe the middle, the quarter, and the three quarters pieces) achieve this result?
PS: Sorry for the tripcode. I'm just using it to continue from the other thread.
literally fucking useless
Kek I pasted the wrong tripcode.
Okay, you have exactly 130$ to build your pc (Just config, without case or keyboard, mouse, monitor n shit)

Gnome is native to Fedora and has update cycle same to one another. Ubuntu lag behind on gnome cycle and has a retarded update cycle, which is currently on 3.18 so you will get old shit on it. If you manually add gnome-staging repo and install 3.20 then it breaks because ubuntu officially doesn't even support it till 16.10. But gnome on fedora is already on 3.20.2 and next update will be 3.22.9 while you will only get 3.20.1. So it will be best if you stick with unity.
I want to watch anime but i'm on an really old and shitty laptop, not at home with my main setup. There's lot of problems with it and probably some damage somewhere. If i use VLC it's heating like crazy and eventually froze, which is unfortunate.
I'm not kidding, even watching youtube html5 (if not fullscreen) is not an option.
