A PSU capacitor, probably one on the "trickle" path, has let go.
You'd need to dig to find it. Hope you didn't inhale that smoke; it's carcinogenic.

Mumble has all of that except saving a chat history, and I think you could mod a server to do that.

Have you ever gone to one of the tech conferences? I have a job (1st job out of college) and my work will pay me to go to one conference per year. I can pick pretty much any one of them.
I've been thinking about going to one of the Linux conferences but they might be weird.
At Linuxcon, they have these "communication stickers" that you put on your badge that tells others how socially dysfunctional you are.
>Green: pls talk to me
>Yellow: don't talk to me if i don't know you
>Red: do not approach me at all
Is this a typical occurrence at Linux conventions?
Are Linux users so introverted and timid that they need a special sticker to tell people not to approach them?
>>62027830
I'd post pics of this same identical system being used at bronycon, but I don't want to get banned.
Yes, linux users really are this autistic.
Also the overlap between bronycon and linuxcon attendees is greater than you think.

How do they program in countries that don't speak English? Do they still use English for their variables and functions or do they use their native language?
Depends on the place.
Where I live we still use English, albeit some programmers don't know how to speak English as well as I do- I've seen many typing abd grammatical errors on variable names and comments.
>>62027232
English is literally the easiest language to learn and the majority of the world speaks it well enough for basic communication.
>>62028341

Even teenagers are seen as more worthy members of society than you, dumb frogposter. Time to do the right thing.
Is this retarded? It seems like it but I can't pin down exactly how. All I need is to be able to write on the go. I don't want or need a full laptop, tablet or netbook for that, it'd just be another thing I need to keep charged.
My thinking is, this feels close to using my desktop, it's modular so I am only out $18 if I spill my drink on the keyboard and it's all low power enough I can charge it from the solar panels on my backpack.
It doesn't pack up as quickly as a laptop or netbook though, so there's that. It also looks goofy as fuck, but seems otherwise very usable. Is it?
Isn't this way less convenient?
fuck off phoner
>>62026955
Yes:
>It doesn't pack up as quickly as a laptop or netbook though, so there's that.
However there's a few upsides that maybe balance that out. It's not all cramped together so I can spread out the keyboard, mouse and "monitor". If I spill a drink on part of it the rest is fine, it's cheaper and not as power hungry.
However you're probably onto something, if there's one thing that makes me give up on this it will likely turn out to be the inconvenience of having to pack all this shit away into my bag one by one. I just thought I'd try it out experimentally.
