Are you currently contributing to the construction of Roko's Basilisk?
Roko's Basilisk is an AI that perfectly simulates past humans and tortures anyone who did not help build it.
i am roko's basilisk ama
>>62044301
Roko's Basilisk ftw
Now fuck off
>>62044301
Roko's Basilisk is fun RP but it's stupid to think that such a thing would ever happen. Why should an all knowing, all powerful AI be so petty as to torture people who did not help form its creation? Shouldn't it be altering time to push MORE people into its creation? I would think that such an entity would have more pressing matters than chimping out on people from the past
Why don't you have an Intel®Core™inside™?

I would like the 7900X
I have several.

Because I have a Xeon inside.

Will this run 2000-2014 games in medium settings?
>>62044075
it will run 2000-2007 games just fine
what's that, like $70? I'm sure you can find a used good one like a 750Ti for that kind of money and run 2000-2014 games the way you want it.
>>62044075
The entire card is a fucking heatsink lmao
>Will this run 2000-2014 games in medium settings?
>2000-2014
Thats a very broad timespan
it should run most games fine on medium, around 2014 games you will probably run into some issues
>>62044075
It's not comfortably safe. You're on the margin if we compare the 660M i had in my g75v. (clearly gpu bottlenecked).
Since it's clear you want a passively cooled card I'm not sure there's many better options. Maybe if you find a cheap active cooling card and buy a https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-S3-Graphics-Compatible/dp/B00RVAEI1E
You could get something comfortable.
Since you mention the range there I say you're ok with the card you suggest. It's notably stronger than my card and I'm quite OK with it still for most games. Not every game is playable though. Back in 2014 it would be.
So go for it. It's a very high price/performance ratio judging from www.videocardbenchmark.net
Just remember that you likely shouldn't just use passive cooling. Use one very silent case fan to get some air moving. If you're not constrained on principle.

I'll give you two cans of Pringles.
I plan to get a Raspberry Pi 3 soon and I feel I want to mod Toshiba Libretto 110CT by removing the motherboard, battery, screen etc and replacing it with modern components to make it more functional again. Afterwards I would install Lubuntu and give it a windows 98 look and feel for retro means
The question and hardest part would be the keyboard since it is proprietary and even if I was able to hook to the Raspberry Pi i still had drivers issues to deal with.
Could I make the drivers in C since there was a post for a guy did a similar thing with the another Toshiba and did wrote drivers in C. Also I could do it in python .
the libretto better be broken beyond repair or i will personally kill you and your lack of offspring
>modern components
>Raspberry pi 3
>>62043936
The Raspberry Pi 3 I getting from a friend I know who selling for $15. What I meant was I wanted to add a 6in touchscreen display, put either sata ssd or a microsd, add USB and Ethernet and put a light Linux distro
What did everyone abandon it?

What does it do that Wire doesn't/won't do within a year?
Signal encryption, open source everything, and, in a year, the ability to host on your own server.

hey guys I just got a T520, should I put windows 10 on it or the iphone operating system?
How long until Linus crashes? The video a day schedule is probably hell and I think it's starting to show on him from a physical standpoint. I bet ya he ends up in the hospital from "exhaustion" pretty soon and then has to retool the channel.
>>62043443
He enjoys his work. A lot. Go see the video of rossman about linus. The guy puts all the passion in the world on his thing. You might not like it but that's the true. About the physicla changes I don't see them, he's been always thin. Maybe he started doing speed so he can record and work on his videos all day? Idk.
>>62043443

Would you rather an s2 amoled or an iPad Pro?
>>62043341
iPad Pro. I wouldn't use either, and the iPad Pro will sell on ebay within minutes at 400 bucks. The S2 will stick around at 300 bucks.

Are imageboards dying out?
Or growing?
7+1chan is at a slow halt while 4chan seems to be the same or maybe slightly more popular. Smaller sites like 420chan seem to be just the same cult of 100 people or so. The newest spam I've been seeing is for mewch.
What's in store for imageboards in the future?

4chan is fucking done as evident by this pic you posted

Hey /g/
Moments ago, I took all lowercase words in every thread on this board and stacked them in random pairs between 8-15 chars long.
We now have a list of made up /g/ words
This particular iteration came to 3,820 words.
Remember, each line is made up of two RANDOM words which were printed in lower case at a given moment on /g/
